My partner and myself just had dinner here. The lady at the bar was ever so friendly and ever so helpful.
The food we had very quick to arrive at the table, food we had was great and so was the dessert.
Lovely place for a drink outside by the river. Drinks a bit pricey, apart from the beers which are good. Not huge variety. Staff good and not too long waiting times.
Called in for a drink whilst on holiday in the area one evening - unable to order a taxi as no one about (no Uber either) and buses had stopped running - big thank you to Clare - (hope I spelt name correctly ), behind the bar for helping us find someone to take us back to our campsite- another big thank you Riddell Executive Cars for the ride!
This place used to be so good, the food used to be amazing, today was the first time I've been back for well over a year, we ordered the roast dinner, and let me tell you that this meal was the worst roast I’ve ever had, the potatoes were dry with no flavour, the vegetable were so hard, I nearly broke my tooth, the cauliflower cheese was absolutely disgusting, such a shame, as this place used to serve such amazing meals, I would never go back and eat here again now
I rarely write negative reviews, but only the beer and the view lead to my 2 stars. Told I'd have to have a plastic drinking vessel if I wanted to sit outside. I'm a pensioner. Am I going to glass someone?? The barman relented after my protest. Not a friendly feel at all. Beer well kept, and reasonable pricing.
The Mountain inn - Lutton
Only went in for drinks on a weekend afternoon with a few friends, pub was relatively quiet, however the barman couldn’t be any ruder, when coming to a local but otherwise new pub to me I don’t expect to feel unwelcome when asking if we can “order a few drinks” for the reply to be “well that is what the bar is here for” which was served with a blunt-non jokingly manner.
I wasn’t born yesterday and I do understand what a bar is and its purpose, so cheers for clarifying.
Other than that, The drinks selection was good, and other staff (perhaps land lady?) were more accommodating, however the introduction to this pub unfortunately means I wouldn’t come back for another, it’s a shame because the pub itself is really nice.
Our latest visit to Dartmouth and with our accommodation on this occasion in Dart marina the bridge became our local we drank here most afternoons and ate on three occasions beer and food excellent at all times my wife loved her fish and chips and the scampi for me it was the Ribs and the mussels both were superb
Staff always polite and helpful
The Bridge is an excellent place to eat and drink well worth the walk from the centre of Dartmouth great views from the terrace if you enjoy Al Fresco dining
Mark the manager pointed out to us that he is available for the next Bond 007 as nobody from Wales has ever had the role he would be a excellent choice he never looks shaken or stirred
Kind regards to all
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for you. Food was excellent. Great room. Lovely and quiet and very comfortable. Wishing the staff good luck on their upcoming refurbishment. See you again soon x
My husband and i and our dog arthur were treated as part of the community at this fantastic pub a true community gem! Staff were beyond fantastic..huge shout out to poppy and scarlett who looked after us and the silliness of arthur..cant recomend enough !!
We stumbled on it by a chance, and so thankful we did! Now we'll always make sure to visit every time we're here. The nicest staff, superb atmosphere - you'll never want to leave!
Went there twice while we were down there for evening meal and both times enjoyed the food and friendliness of the staff and prices were very good, if your going to eat in the pubs in Salcombe then this is by far the best one.
Highly recommend.

Great choice of menu. Four of us went to celebrate an 80th Birthday on 5th Match and going back on the 12th March to celebrate my sister in law's birthday.
Great little pub, nice atmosphere and food was A1. Small menu but perfectly cooked and ample servings. Only a few people in the bar the night we were there, but people in very friendly.
If you struggle with mobility the toilets would be difficult. Nice selection of beers.
Very dog friendly,
It's a very pleasant location and a very nice pub to sit inside or out and look at the river.
What let's it down is the QR code ordering system.
The staff either don't know where the table or just seem to not bother.
I've been a couple of times recently and experienced this.
