The food is beautiful. We’ve been a few times now and it’s always lovely. It’s not cheap but you definitely get what you pay for. Top quality good and huge portions. Always leave fat, full and very happy!!

Lovely country pub, friendly staff and great food. Visited for a family members birthday and everyone enjoyed there food.

We had just walked 15 miles from Plymouth on the South West Coast Path and were in urgent need of a good pub. Bumped into a couple of local residents who immediately recommend the Odd Wheel. They were right! Great pub with a very warm welcome. Wide selection of beers and spirits and very dog friendly. If eating I would recommend booking as this place is very popular. Luckily for us they managed to squeeze us in and we had the rib-eye and lobster mac-n-cheese. Both beautifully cooked and generously portioned. All the staff were wonderful but I have to mention Ollie as his is the only name I can remember 😁. We will return.

Went for a cheeky lunch date and we were not disappointed, the food was amazing and the staff incredibly helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was lovely as well which really contributed to the overall experience. Will defo be back for more!

4 empty tables and told they "dont accept walk ins" which is utter bs as we have done it before. Used to come here a lot but never again after today.

I tried the Odd Wheels signature burger and chips. Well it delivered the most amazing burger experience ever. Absolutely perfect. Worth every penny. As a snobby pub burger lover it brought a tear to my eye. 5 star.

Booked a table for 1400 one Friday. Ideal time as no trouble parking and pub was fairly quiet. Excellent staff and service and the food was freshly prepared, superb 👌

Nice pub, extremely friendly & polite staff but I personally found my meal quite bland & expensive for what it was, the rest of my party enjoyed their roasts but I was underwhelmed so maybe it was just what I had?

This is the 4th time we have been to The Odd Wheel- we live 30 mins away in the middle of nowhere and so shows the reason why we keep coming back.. the food and the staff! Today was the first time we’d had the roast.. oh my days, it’s incredible. My husband had the roast beef and I had the crispy pork belly and it was amazing- cooked to perfection with all the beautiful veg. We then treated ourselves to the Malteser cheesecake and the infamous sticky toffee pudding… yum! What I also need to mention was the staff. We had Luke and Olivia look after us and nothing was too much trouble, so helpful, friendly & so lovely. All in all, a wonderful meal and we’d brought my best friend who was visiting from Oz and I’m so glad we did and with my family, we had a great lunch- thank you x

Fabulous pub! We’ve been to Wembury 7 times over the years and have always eaten there at least twice each time. The prices are maybe slightly towards the higher side of average but the ample portions and food quality make up for it. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, with several outdoor tables under cover. Extremely friendly staff.

Friendly bar staff, a good variety of craft beers and my friends assured me the food is very good. Nice atmosphere inside and a beautiful outdoor setting with lovely flower baskets and large potted olive trees. The picnic benches are made from recycled plastic and the place is well presented all round... Well worth a visit.

An absolutely lovely place to stop after a long walk for a pint and some food, dog friendly too. Staff are wonderful the food is delicious, music is a good vibe too! Will absolutely be back

Came here for the first time last night and we will definitely be returning. Due to traffic and getting lost on the way we were quite late for our table but the staff were so kind about it and still kept our table available. The food is amazing, lots of choice and massive portion sizes. The staff are friendly, speak to you like they care and that your not just a customer and they recommend choices based on what they've had etc.. the whole feel of the place is lovely, very welcoming, music on but not too loud but not too quiet. Dogs are welcome but also if you don't have a dog or don't want to be around them there is a separate area. I highly recommend the cheesecake! It's homemade and comes in different flavours, I had white chocolate and biscoff but my dad had mint chocolate both were amazing 😍

Lovely country pub , plenty of parking, great décor, really nice pub, nicely busy Bar staff helpful and pleasant, good repore, good choice of beer and drinks Not huge menu , but fine Our fish&chips and burgers were lovely , really tasty and well priced Only downside for us the portions were large , just to big for us Missed half the tennis due to nap Would definitely visit again .

What a lovely night at The Odd wheel our first visit there and we will go again. lovely friendly staff, A nice atmosphere, the food was excellent and good value. Ten of us had starters and main and everybody thoroughly enjoyed their food. Highly recommended

Lovely Sunday lunch, quiet if you get in early for lunch. Definitely a one to remember.

Excellent food, friendly staff a lovely little pub-restaurant. If you want to wat in the restaurant do call to book, but even just turning up, you should be able to eat in the pub.

A little disappointed with sunday beef lunch, plate was only warm, the veg was luke warm, meat placed on potatoes so no crispy spuds, and not enough gravy, if you want cauliflower cheese that extra, really, 1887 so much better

Had dinner here with my partner. Service was friendly and prompt. The food was really good! The scallops were perfectly cooked and the brisket topped Mac and cheese was creamy and thick! Portion size was great - had to ask for a box to take some of it home as we were both stuffed. Overall a great evening and I would recommend the Odd Wheel to friends and family.

I'd say I was lost for words after spending an evening at The Odd Wheel, but Ive been raving about it ever since! 25 years of eating in some of the worlds best restaurants and I have some of the best experiences in hospitality at this pub!! The welcome was Incredible. A young lady, beaming and receiving of a family of 4 with 2 feral children! She made us feel at home, which is so important when you're in a local pub. We were also greeted by some other friendly bar staff, a couple of lads.. really professional and there for the love of it. The food was well executed, the children's portions would have filled most adults! Very generous, but didn't lack in flavour.. the Mac and cheese was delicious, topped with a great cheesy crunch. The fish and chips was superb, an ample goujon, battered to perfection. My wife and I love seafood and to see a massive platter on the menu, we weren't missing out. The only downside to the whole meal were that there were a couple dead mussels in the bowl and the scallops could have done with a rinse as they were a bit gritty. Not really a complaint.. I'm an understanding chef just feeding back as others may jump at the chance to whinge for compensation! The seafood platter was a sight to behold. A tree, felled by Popeye himself, covered in well executed tapas bowls, battered goujons, prawn cocktail, mussels, king prawns, scallops with bacon, bread.. well worth the 60 quid and beautifully presented team! The pub itself is looking stunning, the range of beers on tap is fabulous. The garden was glowing. Make sure this is the next drive you take.. it's a must.. cheers team.. see you soon ✌️

Came for Sunday lunch on the 30/06 and left stuffed and happy! Would have been a 5 star if the wine prices were a little more affordable...but will be back nonetheless just for the amazing roast dinners!

Had a really good evening at The Odd Wheel last night. The food was amazing, the portions were huge, I wish I could upload photos because their attention to detail in their food presentation was superb. The manager, Luke, and his staff were lovely, fun and attentive. This pub has excellent food, lovely staff, very nicely decorated and overall good vibes, we will definitely be going back and will be recommending it to our friends and family. 😀

Lovely pub! Wonderful decor, wonderful food and drinks but the staff really make it special. Our main server was Paris, she was very accommodating and helpful plus super friendly! 10/10 would recommend and hope to be served by Paris again, was. Surely lovely evening

After my wife won a Facebook competition for a meal voucher we were excited to finally come to you after seeing some of the amazing food on here. We were not disappointed, firstly big shout out too Rowenna and Ethan who were our servers tonight, they did an excellent job of looking after everyone in the restaurant and bar. really really great service from start to finish. We ordered the Summer sharing platter which was absolutely loaded with so many delicious dishes. every single dish on the platter was incredible and the portion size was more than enough for two, I have a big appetite and we were both stuffed after, we ordered a side salad and the homeslaw but we really didn't need those, the platter was more than enough. Obviously we all know you have a separate stomach for pudding so we both ordered the chocolate orange cheesecake, OMG!!! This is incredible and tastes just like Terry's. the portion size was filling and a perfect end to an amazing meal. There was also a lovely selection of drinks on the bar, I'm non alcoholic and I had the staropramen zero lager and zero Guinness and the wife had alcoholic rekorderlig passion fruit cider and she and i said they were the prefect thirst quencher. The decor inside and out of the pub is really upmarket and a perfect sunspot out on the beer garden. We sat in the restaurant and it was really chilled and relaxed and perfect for a date night. we can't thank you enough for your hospitality and the delicious food and drink we had this evening. We will definitely be back soon. For two people the price was excellent value.

Superb roast, excellent flavours and choice of meats.

We eat out often and it’s not often I’ve given five starts for everything. Staff gave a warm welcome and were prompt and efficient taking orders. The food was delicious. Everything was fresh , tasted great and presented well. We couldn’t fault it. I’d advise booking as we went on a Friday and almost all the tables were reserved. We would definitely eat here again and have now hesitation in recommending the Odd Wheel.

They are dog friendly so had food in bar as we were early and it was very quiet but lots of space outside and under cover , lovely food and service 100% would go there again and recomend

Best pub food in the local area, decent drink selection

Went for the first time since new ownership and a remarkable transformation. We had the Roast and they accommodated all of our needs and more , the burger and fish and chips were also fantastic Food was so good we had to have dessert. The sticky toffee pudding was up there with the best! You won’t be disappointed if you come plus they had a band getting ready as we left so something for everyone ! Highly recommended

What can I say, I can’t recommend the Odd Wheel enough. After going on friends recommendations we decided to go there for my daughters 18th birthday meal with family, we'd not been there before and we were all very pleased we did! The food was exquisite and the service was incredible from start to finish. The pub/restaurant had great vibes with a warm friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend and we will be returning! Good food but very slow service considering it was only 6.15pm. Food only arrived 7.35pm when one of our party needed to be in Plymouth at 8.00pm

Ordered from the attached "Stuffed" takeout van. Nice enough - no complaints, but didn't particularly inspire. Order was processed quickly (15 mins). Would order from there again if I happened to be in the area but wouldn't go out of my way for it.

Great pub! Only went for a drink, but menu looked good. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Quiet village location.

We had a lovely sunday lunch here . Only criticism was i was right next to the door and the door was in constant use. When i rebook i will make sure we dont get the same table. The food was lovely tasting and hot . The service was good .

Had a fabulous Sunday lunch. Beef was beautifully cooked and came with lovely roast potatoes. Surcumbed to the temptation of sticky toffee pudding, it was delicious. Service was friendly and if there were 6 stars I'd give that. Heartily recommended

Lovely pub seating indoor and outdoors..went to a charity event for st Luke's. Dog show and entertainment. Bought a small orange juice cost £2.80 and a coffee at £3.40..thought it was a little expensive..Great Atmosphere. Beautiful interior very clean.

First time visiting this pub didn’t know if would get a table as not booked but they fitted us in, great service and great food enjoyed so much have booked to come back the following week.

Very friendly, good size portion of good quality food. We had fish fingers in ciabatta rolls. A large roll with plenty of good quality white fish in batter. It came with a salad, coleslaw & for only £1.50 a good portion of lovely chips. Good beer choice and good service, certainly worth a visit.

Amazing food, fantastic service especially Luke who was very polite and welcoming. Top class food taste and presentation were outstanding, outdoor area clean, tidy and with relaxing music in the background, giving the relaxation vibe.

We had an amazing roast. Large portions and everything tasted completely home cooked . Just keep doing what you are doing and you can't go far wrong. Will definitely go again

An amazing roast, full of flavour a handsome portion and not overpriced. The menu choices were lovely and had to take my dessert choice home as too full. Staff there all very helpful and courteous a true delight.

We had an amazing lunch here. I'm gluten free and so many options, the staff were really attentive and advised if I wanted something on the menu that wasn't marked GF they would be able to adapt. The food was incredible, we sat in the beautiful outside area which played chilled music. Can't wait to come back. One of the best gluten free meals I've had!!

Went here on a glorious Friday afternoon for lunch with my husband. We decided to try the chicken sharing board whilst sitting outside in the sun. It was gorgeous, all food was piping hot, plentiful and tasty. Nice relaxed atmosphere, in a clean and tidy environment. Will definitely be returning

We attended the Quiz night after seeing it advertised on Facebook, we had diner there at the same time which was absolutely delicious!! All parties were over the moon with their food and kept commenting how tasty it all was. The staff were incredible!! They could not do enough for us and smiled the whole time they were there. The host of the quiz Luke was friendly approachable witty and kept the whole room entertained! Through out our time luke was mingling with guests and ensuring everyone was happy! He is a credit to the pub!

Warm, welcoming and a fabulous place. I have been here for food, drinks and live music and it never disappoints. Whether a refreshment break during a dog walk, or a bank holiday festival style weekend, I can totally recommend the Odd Wheel. Their qui nights are brilliant fun and their roasts are incredible. Definitely worth a visit.

From Sunday roast to take away food or a few beers in the garden while the kids play in the park or to top it off one of there awesome event days/evenings this stunning little pub is probably one of the areas best kept secrets. The food everytime we have been has been out standing and the service and the staff are always so friendly and polite they can’t do enough for you. I’d highly recommend this place for any occasion it has it covered!!! Great work by the owners and the team to bring this place up to such a high standard and make it a real country side pub!

My friend and I attended The Old Time sailors event on Sunday, I had the pulled pork loaded fries, AMAZING! The two girls were working so hard on their mobile food unit, fantastic food and would highly recommend you try, great value for money. Luke and his team worked tirelessly to ensure a great night was had by all. And then the old time sailors were absolutely on another planet, priceless watching everyone having a great evening. Well done 👏

We booked a table for something to eat for 13:45 we were still waiting at 14:30 when we approached a member of staff to inquire when we would be likely to be served our meal we were told another 45 minutes. 1 hour and 30 minutes is a long time to wait. So we requested our money back and went somewhere else. I would not recommend the odd wheel if you want to eat you may be waiting a very long long time

First time visiting today for my nieces birthday. Absolutely stunning , the Ploughman’s platter was fantastic. Real quality ingredients. Service was top class. Especially Luke. Thank you and look forward to coming back :).

Had a Sunday roast today. Was absolutely delicious! The beef was pink which we love and served with lovely veg. We also got cauliflower cheese bake as a side which was so yummy. Our vegan was very happy with the nut roast said it was delicious. Service was quick and the staff were lovely. Can't wait to come back another day and try food from the main menu! ☺️

It's our 2nd visit this month. Our first visit was on a Tuesday evening. All of our meals were superb. Good size portions and piping hot. All freshly made, and not just pinged in the microwave. So we decided to try the Sunday roast today. My partner had the roast beef and I had the nut roast which was so full of flavour. The veg was also cooked to perfection. Very impressed with both visits. Definitely will return!!

Very warm welcoming atmosphere in the bar which carried on into the restaurant .Amazing Bar ,restaurant staff and manager Luke all so very polite ,friendly attentive and helpful . Very good portions and food was so full of flavour , I do love my gravy and usually restaurants are usually a bit tight with an egg cup of gravy but that wasn't the case here ,plenty of very tasty gravy which complemented a perfect Sunday roast

Just had the most amazing delicious Sunday roast at the Odd Wheel , service from bar staff ,restaurant staff and manager Luke was first class . Have heard so much about the odd wheel since it's been took over such great reviews. Amazing. All true. The bar is friendly and comfortable staff lovely. Went to the resturant for Sunday roast .stunning . Tasty. Perfect portions. Lots of gravey which is a must for me. Luke the manager made us feel very welcome and chatted to us at our table . Sounds like lots of good things are going to be happening there in the future. Have already booked up for my mums birthday and will now be new regulars at the odd wheel . Loved it

From moment we arrived we were greeted by a very friend staff member. Our food was superb great quality and very generous portions. Waiting service staff were very helpful and informative. We will definitely be going back to try the Sunday Roast. Highly recommend this restaurant/pub.

Wonderful pub with great food and superb staff. Visited with my mum and two children (7&9yrs old). We sat in the restaurant and had a lovely table by the window. The meals we ordered we all swiftly served and were DELICIOUS! My vegan burger was excellent, and the rest of the family said their fish and chips and sausages were fab. Met the lovely Luke as we left and his kindness and friendliness was a wonderful end to a great experience. We’ll be back!

The meal from starters to main were wonderful. Staff very friendly and polite from start to end. Portions were way beyond expectations. All our dinners were well impressed by quality and prices. Woukd high recommend and do book in advance. A must visit. X
