My sister and I took our Mum for her 91st birthday. Staff were so kind and afternoon tea excellent. All made her a very special birthday. The memorabilia brought back many memories for her. Thankyou so much.

Great selection of fish to choose from. Young friendly and engaging front of house team. Had a very enjoyable lunch and look forward to returning. Many thanks ‘Tim’
Sotirios is an absolute must visit - everything about it was 5star! The place has a lovely vibe, the staff were absolutely faultless, and the food was to die for. Cannot wait to go back.
Had the most delicious sausage and caramelised onion roll here with a very delicious salad. Very cosy inside, lovely coffee. The sausage roll was warmed with delicious flaky pastry and a really nice generous amount of caramelised onion on the top so you could really taste it. Very festive feeling and we couldn’t resist sharing a Malteser brownie which was unctuously delicious! What a delightful place on a wet and miserable Monday!
I recently had the distinct pleasure of dining at the esteemed History Pizzeria, an establishment renowned for its exceptional service and delectable cuisine. My experience, shared with a close companion, was marked by an air of refined elegance, which the pizzeria's ambiance and staff both enhanced and reflected.
Upon entering, we were graciously greeted by the staff, and we were promptly led to our table. The atmosphere within the pizzeria was undeniably warm and inviting, exuding an old-world charm that subtly echoed through the modern decor. The rustic yet contemporary setting provided a comfortable and intimate environment for a leisurely meal.
Our service was impeccable from the moment we were seated. The waitress who attended to us, whose name was Val, was an epitome of professionalism and courtesy. With poise and efficiency, Val took our orders with an attentive ear to our preferences, displaying an admirable balance of attentiveness without encroaching upon our dining experience. It was clear from her demeanor that she was well-versed in the menu, offering insightful recommendations when necessary.
For my friend, who exhibited a taste for the finer aspects of Italian cuisine, a portion of câpres was ordered. The câpres arrived promptly and was presented with the grace one would expect from a fine dining establishment. The dish was served with precision, each caper displaying a vibrant hue and a distinct burst of flavor that only the most carefully sourced ingredients could provide. The capers were fresh, briny, and offered a delightful tang that paired beautifully with the other elements of the meal.
As for myself, I opted for the simplest of selections—a glass of water. While such a choice may seem unassuming, it was, in its own way, indicative of the restaurant's commitment to perfection in all aspects of dining. The water was crisp and served at an ideal temperature, showcasing the establishment’s attention to detail even in the most modest of orders. A small, yet essential detail, the glass was impeccably clean, with no residue or smudges, which further exemplified the restaurant's high standards.
Throughout the meal, Val’s service remained outstanding. She demonstrated a keen ability to anticipate our needs, refilling our glasses with promptness and ensuring that all our requests were met without delay. Her professionalism was further underscored by her demeanor, which was warm yet refined, never overly familiar yet wholly approachable.
In addition to the quality of service, the ambiance of History Pizzeria played a significant role in enhancing our dining experience. The soft lighting, coupled with a subtle background of classical music, created a serene and sophisticated atmosphere, ideal for conversation. The blend of modern touches and historical undertones made the pizzeria not only a place to eat but an experience to be savored.
In conclusion, History Pizzeria offers a dining experience that is at once elegant and understated, with service that exemplifies the highest standards of hospitality. Val, our waitress, contributed greatly to this experience with her impeccable service, attentiveness, and knowledge of the menu. The câpres and water, though modest in their nature, were presented with a level of care and professionalism that truly elevated the meal. It is an establishment that I wholeheartedly recommend to those seeking a refined, pleasurable dining experience.
All the dishes we had were delicious. The homemade garlic mayonnaise was amazing! Really enjoyed the mushroom croquettes and the calamari. Great service too!

Marley’s ambience is that of a hug, warm and welcoming. The food lives up to that promise - cajun-salted corn on the cob done rib-style, lime and chilli squid, succulent tuna steak and the creamiest cheesiest risotto you could ask for. The local beer and wine were delicious, too.
Such a lovely evening. Really nice atmosphere, great food! Order the PKFC, you won’t be disappointed. Robbie our waiter was brilliant, super friendly and really attentive. Thank you! Little gem.
On the 19th January we arrived at Lamingtons tea rooms for a pre booked afternoon tea for myself, my Dad, brother, sister in law and sister. It was a difficult day for us being a year to date our mum had suddenly passed away.
We wanted to remember her and knew she always loved a cream tea.
After hearing such good reviews about Lamingtons we decided to take the plunge and book on a Sunday afternoon.
Well from start to finish our experience was absolutely fantastic, we were met by the lovely Mark who introduced himself to us, so welcoming we were greated like old friends.
We were sat at a large round table at the front, where we could admire the beautiful decor of the tea room.
We were offered a non alcoholic
Prosecco which was absolutely delicious and you would never have known it was alcohol free!
Well when the afternoon tea came out we were taken back how delicious it looked so much variety , one of us had a gluten free version and you would not have known the difference it was so nice to see the gluten free person wasn’t missing out with limited choice.
Well the food was so delicious so fresh and so plentiful, the teapot was kept filled up by Mark too and he kept an eye on us making sure everything was ok and popping over to talk to us.
I cannot say how fantastic this place is, such a gem and we cannot wait to come back, oh and a big shout out to whoever was in the kitchen preparing all the delicious food.
