History Pizzeria in Brighton and Hove

Im giving it less than 5 stars due to finding a metal screw in my pizza, I did get a fresh one, however they did not even give us our pizza for free, not even a slight discount which I thought was unbelievable seeing as this could have led to a painful surprise! Unfortunately I won't be returning.

Great pizza, arguably the best in Brighton and Hove. Great, polite service too, a nice cozy unrushed atmosphere, and reasonable prices!

Just left a super disappointing experience at History Pizza, which is so surprising considering the amazing reviews! We booked ahead and had to sit in the window seats which had absolutely no room for us to move, totally jammed in, couldn't even turn the plates around without hitting the window. We both got Margheritas, and both were incredibly oily? Had to pat them down with napkins. Don't know if that's a one off experience because some of the pictures on here look nice, but ours definitely was not. They had next to no sauce on them, with patches of just oily bread with no sauce. The floor was super dirty and had food all over it, didn't even want to put my bag down on it. To top it off there was a £1.50 per person service charge which seemed a bit nuts? Would not go back, super confused at the hype

We sat in this fab wee restaurant to have arguably the best pizza I've ever had. Service and atmosphere were both excellent.

I am Italian so trust me this is the best Italian real spot in uk. Test it

The owner and chef was so incredibly friendly and welcoming - the pizza was outstanding, the focaccia was amazing. The atmosphere was bubbly with an authentic Italian feel. You can’t go wrong!!

Great pizza and lovely owner. I tried the one with anchovies - delicious. Large enough to share (but I didn't...). Pizza arrives quickly, yay. Diners were gifted a red rose on paying the bill during Valentines Day. Very cute. A little random that £1.50 is added to the bill for each pizza ordered. Why not just add it on to the pizza on the menu?!

The best pizza I have had! Crispy, well seasoned base with fresh toppings. Great Tiramisu and cocktails. Service was also perfect, we will be back!!

Pizza was awesome - I thought my pepperoni was one of the best I've had. Whether you'll think it's the best you've had will depend on what you've had before, but it was very good. Sauce might be what really made it. Service was impeccable, polite, courteous and friendly without being overbearing. It's very small - but if they can keep it up and make a success of it surely a larger space will be needed.

Smashing fresh Roman pizzas, thin crispy and tasty. Nice selection of beers and the tiramisu was fantastic. Swift, polite and attentive service. Highly recommended.

Have eaten here a few times now, and this is by far the best authentic Italian pizza in Brighton. The service is an immaculate balance of polite, friendly and professional. Pizza, calzone, drinks, tiramisu - it’s all incredible!

Simply put, the best authentic Italian pizza in Brighton and Hove and probably the entire BN post code. Even the soft drinks were sourced from Italy and served with the perfect accompaniments to compliment them. To top it all off, our server Micael Costa went the extra mile to make our evening enjoyable. Very impressive and professional service - thank you. You are guaranteed good food and top service in a warm and friendly environment. Highly recommend :)

Fantastic pizza, brilliant dough, quality toppings, super authentic. Amazing service, the young waiter was seriously good, definitely a future hospitality super star. Can’t wait to come again. Not sure there’s a better pizza in Brighton/Hove!

I’ve eaten pizza in Pompeii, Milan and Rome, neither come close to the quality of the pizza I had at History Pizzeria yesterday. Not only was the food incredible, the staff are friendly and efficient and the atmosphere is lovely. This will be the only pizza restaurant I’ll use from now on. Amazing!

Popped in unexpectedly as my son was desperate for pizza and this place surpassed all my expectations. The service was fantastic, nice relaxed vibe and the pizza was absolutely delicious, the best we've had in a very long time! Well done to them, we will most definitely be back, you are now my sons favourite place!

Fantastic pizza, exceptional, even. Service was great, as was the tiramisu and the Sicilian soft drinks with their unique flavour.

Incredible pizza, the perfect base and tomato base, since trying this place in hove i compare every single pizza I have as it as a 10/10!! The man running the shop runs it with love and loves each customer that comes in. I couldn’t recommend it enough!!

I rarely bother with reviews....However, when you're greeted with such kindness and humility its hard not acknowledge the people who have come together to create this atmosphere. And I haven't even started on the food! If love and gratitude were ingredients then let me tell you, History pizza put handfuls of it into everything they serve. My partner is Sicilian and you should have seen her face...it was like she'd been transported back home! They're not just making pizzas! - They're making History

I came in with a request to eat in and get food fast as I had an evening meeting. The gentleman at the front of house was super accommodating and made me feel very welcome. The pizza came really quickly with delicious fresh ingredients. Will definitely come back to this place!

The place is really lovely. The server is really fluent in English and is charismatic. But most of all, the pizza was delicious! Everyone in the restaurant was really kind, it made me feel at ease considering that I was alone. You have got to try this restaurant, you won’t be disappointed! Also, they were nice enough to give me a little souvenir!

Really, really, really lovely little pizzeria! Food was incredibly good, and service of a level I have seldom - if ever - experienced in a restaurant. Bravo!!!! Top tip - the "cheesy garlic bread" is HUGE! One portion easily enough for 2 or 3 people. Is delicious, though!

Lets keep this short and simple: Best pizza in Brighton and it's not even close. Best service, they are both lovely and always find time to have a conversation with you. It's a small place with limited seating and shockingly enough I cant believe its not packed all day everyday. The crust and pizza is thin and crispy using the best ingredients around. Keep up the amazing work, I will be back again and again.

History Pizzeria is the best Italian restaurant in the area. Not only is the food exceptional, but Hicham and Michael are incredible people and create a wonderful, hospitable environment! I couldn’t recommend this place enough and when you go, you’ll know you’re at home in this cosy restaurant with fantastic pizza and vibes. 10/10!

We were greeted with a very warm welcome (even though they were closed) he insisted that we come in and he’d make us some pizzas :) My burrata, pancetta and mushroom pizza was unbelievable! We’ll definitely be back! With so many options for pizza in Brighton and Hove. This is a standout choice.

Delicious pizza! Only negative was a service charge was added with no warning on the menu so a pizza ended up costing £18! I'd understand a corkage charge but neither of us had drinks.

We had a great evening. I absolutely love this place, very nice atmosphere, spotless clean and pizzas are the best in town. I love when my pizza is crispy. You won't be disappointed. Highly recommend it 👌

I went to the pizzeria yesterday. The staff were so nice, kind, and helpful. They always had a smile on their face and very welcoming. The pizza I got was the best Italian pizza I have ever had. I had a conversation with the owner and he told me that he brings all the ingredients from Italy. That’s why their pizza is very unique. I had also a cup of cappuccino with my friend and it was delicious. I like it!! Highly recommended if you want to go out of a pizza or a coffee with friends or family.

Always come here with friends and family, it is genuinely the best pizza in Brighton (maybe even the uk). The staff have always gone above and beyond anytime I have been there. Would highly recommend the margherita pizza!!

These pizzas are just perfect every time. The base is delicious and always done just right - no soggy bottoms here. The toppings use the best quality ingredients and combinations balanced just right. It's also unexpectedly pleasant if you choose to sit in and the staff are charming.

I cannot recommend History Pizza enough! These have to be the best pizzas in Brighton and Hove, and we’ve been to enough places to stand by that! Everything on the menu is delicious. Our favorites are the Vegetarian and Salmon pizzas, and the tiramisu to finish is sublime! The finest level of customer service you’ll ever find in a pizzeria caps off a wonderful experience!

An amazing little pizzeria. We stopped in tonight on a recommendation and we weren’t disappointed. We were looked after by Michele who was delightful. He was helpful and informative and made us feel very welcome. The service was impeccable, As was the food. We both had a diavola which we were warned was spicy and it was. It was delicious, a really well made pizza. I can’t fault the experience from start to finish. Well worth a visit. This is going to be a regular stop for us from now on.

This is a local pizza restaurant run by Italians. We can confidently say that History Pizzeria's Punggi Pizza is much better than other pizza places. They only sell Italian Cola, not Coca-Cola. Please note

History is absolutely the place for anyone craving authentic Italian pizza. The dough is just perfect (and won’t leave you thirsty which means it’s well leavened) the service is excellent. im a professional chef 🧑‍🍳 i have a business in st james’s street my self in the same city as these guys, and i only say this because the words that im about to say are truly honest, this was the best pizza dough that i have ever had in brighton, i dont know who was working in the kitchen but i definitely knew that the guy was a maestro on his food, the buffalo mozzarella was fresh and delicious and the pizza dough was delicious absolutely delicious and the service was sweet and down to earth 🌍 thank you a million times

Went here last night. Staff were extremely friendly and attentive. However the pizza is definitely isn’t worth the 5 star reviews found on Google. It was soggy and the toppings slid right off. Overall we had a nice time but can find better pizza places in the area and would not return.
