Spice Route Andover in Test Valley

Dinner was incredible, service was fantastic and the atmosphere was joyous. But again… the food was stunning. Different to what you might be used to at most Indian restaurants. Will come again.

This is an amazing restaurant of authentic southern Indian cuisine. Each dish is carefully prepared using a wonderful array of varied spices. I'm a foodie and I find many Indian restaurant dishes jaded and lack lustre. This restaurant is an utterly wonderful experience. You will be wowed by the freshly cooked delicious fare, very different to the average. Thank you to all the team at Spice Route.

This place is hot , and flavourful , it’s definitely the real deal and if your use to the uk Indian style dishes you may be shocked with the quality and spice / heat used here. It’s delicious though but definitely took a few orders to get use to it :)

We were visiting the area and based on the reviews thought we would try Spice Route. One of the best restaurants we’ve visited. From the friendly welcome, the knowledgeable staff and especially the food, everything was excellent. Although you can find most common Indian dishes on the menu there are also some absolute delights. We asked for recommendations from our waiter and were not disappointed. The Pani puri starter is fantastic and the lamb shank was delicious. We will definitely return in the future. Lastly to the lovely gentleman who was sat at the next table to us who we were talking to, thank you so much for your kind gesture in paying our bill when you found out it was our ruby anniversary. Hopefully you will see this, as you had left the restaurant before we knew. Your kindness has restored our faith in humanity, so much so that we will now do the same for someone else ourselves 💙

Discovered this fairly recent place in Andover with 2 friends and we were delighted in all respects. Nice table and ambiance, low noise level so quiet enough for us to enjoy the conversation during a wonderfully paced meal. Very professional service: waiter patiently guided us through the extensive menu. We ordered 3 starters and 3 mains & rice and bread. Everything was shareable and shared. All of it was delicious, fairly spicy as we like that but still full of unique and complex flavor combinations. Extremely reasonable prices for the quality of the food and the overall experience! We will definitely be coming back.
