I have been to The New Bengal multiple times and each time has been phenomenal. I have ordered different dishes which have all been piping hot, fresh and delicious, even when it has been delivered ! Would not go anywhere else for an Indian takeaway. Customer service is always spot on, all the staff are helpful and friendly 😁 I have attached a photo of garlic butter chicken, special fried rice and naan bread (halved with my husband as portions are big!)

The food itself was very tasty; however, there were no condiments for the popadoms and considering this is a set meal for four people, there was only 1 small piece of chicken and 2 small bits of lamb in the mix starter. Also thought the rice would be large containers, not enough for 4 people for what you pay, doesn’t feel like good value

for the price poor quality yes it was delivered quick and hot but the quality of food was poor for example chicken tika byranni is not meant to blow Yr head off far to much hot spice the amount of food colouring is unreal the veg curry swimming in oil probably explains why so much food colouring.nice gesture with free poppadoms but sadly they were stale and to serve side salad in plastic white bags is horrible Just my opinion but very disappointed to spendso much for poor quality

Ordered tonight looking for a great tasting hot curry , ordered a set menu but modified to hotter curry which was no hassle at all for them , very professional, when the food arrived it was hot , tasty and exactly what I ordered , the madras was simply amazing

Quite possibly the best Indian takeaway I’ve ever had in the UK. I’ve travelled the country, love Indian food and since moving here I won’t order from anywhere else!! The expansive menu isn’t lost in a lot of dishes that tase the same. Seriously happily every time I order here. Thanks guys!!

The New Bengal: The Takeaway That Outsourced My Appetite So, I tried The New Bengal tonight, and I think I’ve found the perfect excuse to retire my pots and pans. The Chicken curry was so good it made me question why I ever attempted to cook in the first place. I’m pretty sure it is made with a secret ingredient called “can’t-stop-eating.” Portion sizes? 1 curry, 1 rice, 1 naan, chips and 2 poppadoms was enough to feed me and my greedy husband. Bottom line: The New Bengal has officially put my kitchen out of business. If you’re ready to break up with cooking, this is the place to do it. Five stars, and I’ll be back—probably tomorrow.

Ordered a takeaway 5.8.24 and it was delivered by a nice delivery driver. The food was below par again however. The rice had water in the container, the popadoms were cooked in old oil and tasted bitter. The Korma was tasteless and the nan bread was crispy. Not good at all and this has been the case the last few times we've ordered. Keep giving benefit of the doubt but was poor. I may not give the new Bengal another chance. That's a shame.

Ordered from here today, we forgot things from our order, so rang up, and with no hassle, they added them. The food arrived hot and very quickly. The delivery guy was very polite, and we would highly recommend this takeaway.

1 word for this takeaway, wow! Family moved in from Salisbury and we wanted to try an Indian, I wrote on facebook whats the best indian in andover and most comments were the new bengal. We ordered over 80 pounds worth of food and there was no complaint at all it was superb well done!

Relatively new to this restaurant so this is our 4/5th order. Apart from the rogan josh always being too spicy everything has always been really good. However it fell short this time and more than likely wont be back. Lamb tikka on the starter and the massala was very very chewy. Chicken tikka was slightly funky. Had asked for the veg curry that went with the veg biryani to be madras hot and it always has been but today for some reason the extra spice went into the rice and not the veg curry! Even though it was put in the notes for the curry to be spicy. Such a shame as i thought we had finally found the best restaurant in Andover.

Very tasty curry. Had Chicken tikka balti, lamb cutlets and pilau rice. Poppadoms and mango chutney. Great portions for 2 people. Definitely order again

The food here is amazing. It’s restaurant quality in a takeaway. You need to get their Bombay potatoes in your life. I can also recommend lots of their other dishes. Don’t delay visit and try yourself

absolutely SPOT ON! We use this establishment quite a lot, every week. It just seems to get better and better, this time we ordered online via their own website which is so fantastic and easy to use. We ordered as usual loads of dishes and again it was awsome. The naan breads were fluffy like the clouds and soft. The curries were gorgeous! very reasonably price and so worth it. The delivery driver was exceptional and very polite. Thank you again.

I love The New Bengal as my choice of Indian food. I order as a takeaway to eat at home. The website is so easy to use & convenient to pay by card. The food is always delivered on time if not early. Food itself is always hot and delicious, I recommend the chicken korma and my husband has the Donner kebab. 5 star service and I will always use these as my Indian takeaway.

Had my first ever Indian curry, asked for a vegetable one and when delivered it was basically curry sauce, my sister had the vegetable korma, again barely any veg, white sauce and it looked like sick, do not recommend. And it was this restaurant on Saturday night because I've just checked my call log and it was the Bengal takeaway in Andover on Saturday 18th May at 19.25

Normally really good service and wouldn't fault, but yesterday my delivery went missing so took over an hour to get sorted and a replacement. After two calls it was fixed by the restaurant, I'm not sure if it was an error at the restaurant or by the JustEat driver. though I now know that have an online order section so I'll try that next time. food was amazing when it arrived

Always great food and service, it was my father in laws favourite when he was alive and we have stayed with them. Tubs are full to the brim unlike other takeaways. Food it quality and if we ask to make it extra spicy 🌶️ they do! Highly recommend

Ordered a takeaway from The New Bengal as a Friday night treat, and I’m bitterly disappointed. Had to wait an hour for my food, only for it turn up with an item missing, a sorry excuse for a poppadum, burnt bhajis and overcooked, stodgy rice. I’ve ordered from the restaurant before, but this was such a bad experience. What a complete waste of money … almost £30 down the drain.

honestly WOW!! the best takeaway in andover… the service was amazing, friendly staff! i genuinely have never had a better lamb bhuna in my life, it literally melted in my mouth🤤 the service was amazing extremely polite and the food arrived still piping hot and in perfect time! my friends had a passanda and the keema and chicken bhuna and my god was it the best dishes i’ve ever tasted, and don’t even get me started on the naan! i will never be ordering from anywhere else ever again apart from here 10/10 to you the new bengal!

This Indian takeaway is the real curry-osity showstopper! I swear, the naan they serve here must be made with a touch of magic because it's as soft and warm as a hug from your grandma. The lamb tikka was so good that I seriously contemplated licking the container clean. But don't worry, I managed to maintain my dignity, just barely. If you're in the mood for some seriously spicy delights, this place will have you saying "daal-icious" with every bite! 🌶️🍛😄

We ordered from here on Thursday for the first time. We had a dopiaza with some rice and bahjis and it was amazing. The food was delivered within the allocated time slot and everything was really enjoyable. We have ordered again this evening we enjoyed it that much!

2023 UPDATE: Something has gone wrong. We got chicken in our veg Jalfrezi. Last time we ordered they told us they will be here in 10 minutes after already being an hour late. Never turned up. They used to be so good… OLD REVIEW: Excellent food, excellent service.

just had three meals delivered all stone cold by the chips. The cost has gone up , portions smaller. Am a regular customer, but last week and this week being served cold takeaway is unexceptable.

the chicken tikka masala gave extreme accelerated mouth decay aswell as the popadoms were razor sharp and cut my vital organs, i now have to recieve urgent surgury will order again however i would pass on the toenails thank you

Ordered delivery from here. Came on time and was hot. So to the taste. Ordered a lamb Madras and dry chicken tikka with sides. The madras was amazing with proper spice and heavenly flavours. The onion barges were popping with again flavour and crispy. The chicken tikka melted in your mouth and the flavour that makes you want to keep eating. Comply poper Dom's and side salads which helped with cooling the madras down a bit. Lastly the naan bread was light and fluffy. Got to be one of my favourite curries I have had in year. Keep up the great work guys.

Gradually has got worse on portion sizes. Onion bhajis now the size of golf balls, chicken vandaloo getting smaller by the meal. I'm now looking for an alternative delivery service.

I'm quite new to Indian food but got into it recently, although rarely venture further than a korma. The man behind the counter was really friendly and helpful in helping me choose something new that would be to my taste. Not disappointed with the selection either. Delicious and filling. Maybe a little more expensive than other takeaway options in the area but tastes like the ingredients are better quality, so worth the extra.

Didn't get what I ordered..got veg ,bombay potatoes and chicken kebab ..and I'm sure they just made up the price of £29. As unable to even find what they gave me on menu...very disappointed won't be using them again..

Disappointed 😞 Mains were gorgeous but sides weren't... * Rice had large uncooked lumps in it which we had to throw away. * Onion Bhajis were soggy and oily and under cooked. We couldn't eat them. * Poppadoms were limp and undercooked and again weren't edible.

I will post and repost this as many times as needs be. You cannot fault The New Bengal. Rubel always goes above and beyond for you and always has a personal touch. Food delicious as always. I will recommend these to anyone in Andover and I know they will not be disappointed :)
