The best restaurants serving Spanish food in South East

My fourth visit, this time with my eldest son for his first visit . My youngest son(23 yo) loves it here and is always quick to put forward a tapas night. Eldest son was very impressed . We had about 10 dishes between three of us with the deep fried aubergine being the stand out. How was that even aubergine !? . Of course Spanish beer on draft ( not your usual ones) added to the experience . Finished off with the obligatory churros . I've a feeling we will be returning for my 5th visit very soon

first time their atmosphere was brilliant We had a lovely buffet lunch which was most excellent Staff friendly and very helpful Lovely setting

Favourite restaurant in Haywards Heath. Miguel and his staff always make you feel welcome and the food is always great. Personal favourites are the octopus and anchovies .They also do a cracking bottle of house Rioja !. Cannot fault this place at all.

Always a good place to eat and on my doorstep

We went for the bottomless brunch but definitely found the bottom… staff never came over to check if we needed more drinks therefore we were sat there with empty glasses for a long time before one of us had to keep getting up asking the staff for drinks. When doing so we found the staff were just messing around at the bar doing nothing, one trying to balance an ice pole on his face, the other rolling a cigarette. The waitress was also just stood in the kitchen on her phone most of time to the point I had to ask her to serve us. We had to ask for drinks repeatedly after waiting ages. This wasn’t due to them being busy because we were one of two groups there. Even when asking for the bill we then were sat there ages waiting for it. Definitely wouldn’t go again, ever. We also felt the cocktails were really weak and were just juice at the best of times. Very disappointing

El 26 de abril teníamos una reserva para las 8. 15 pm en La Regata para la cena. Llegamos temprano así que pedimos una margarita y una sangría y esperamos a que nuestra mesa estuviera lista. La señora del bar no estaba entusiasmada con servirnos las bebidas. La sangría era buena pero la margarita era horrible, muy amarga. Mientras esperábamos nuestras bebidas, llegaron nuevos clientes y la camarera del bar en lugar de caminar hacia los clientes y hablarles, gritaba al otro lado del bar para preguntar por qué estaban allí. Tendrían una conversación sobre nosotros sin respetar nuestro espacio. Luego fuimos a nuestra mesa a las 8. 15 pm y no teníamos el menú. Cuando le preguntamos si podíamos tener el menú, la camarera que creíamos que se llamaba Joanna fue grosera y respondió abruptamente “¿quieres el menú, te traeré el menú”. Nunca nos preguntó si queríamos bebidas o agua, cuando pedimos una ginebra para reemplazar a la mala margarita, de nuevo dijo “quieres una ginebra, te traeré una ginebra” y tuvimos que pedir un tónico ya que nos iba a dar una ginebra recta. Ella continuó así durante toda la noche nunca agradable en nuestras interacciones. Esperamos unos 50 minutos para nuestra comida que era de 5 tapas. La comida no era lo que se esperaba de un restaurante español. No había frescura en la comida, todas las salsas parecían salsas compradas en la tienda. A nuestro alrededor vimos a la misma persona cometiendo los mismos errores con otros clientes. Una pareja a nuestro lado pidió un postre y dos tés en su lugar les dieron tres postres. Finalmente pedimos la factura y en este momento Joanna vino corriendo con la máquina para tomar el pago, que incluía un cargo de propina del 10% que no queríamos pagar ya que el servicio era terrible y no se lo merecía.

Highly recommend Mango. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful experience dining with mango this evening for the first time. The service was top notch, couldn't have been better, Jack our server and bartender was fantastic and made the evening feel extra special, especially with the custom cocktail! The food and drinks were delicious and the restaurant had a great atmosphere, thank you very much and we will be back again soon :)

This is a nice spot for date nights! Good selection of tapas, particularly the seafood paella and Vieiras. To top it off, very friendly service. Thank you Aleksandra and Claudia!

The restaurant has fantastic food and service. The portion was quite generous. We had a great time. The restaurant is quite spacious so I did not have to wait for a table.

Fabulous lunch with friends on Bank Holiday Monday. They have a good menu of Pinchos and Tapas as well as a specials board. All the food was freshly cooked and very tasty. There is also an excellent choice of drinks including cocktails. Susannah and the team made it a great experience. We will be back ! Highly Recommended !

Odd place, serving bottles of beer, but it has a cool vibe and a friendly barman. I could imagine chilling here for a few hours. In good weather plenty of seating outside.

Went for breakfast last Sunday, walked past a couple waiting to pay at the bar area and sat at a table to wait for a server that was nowhere to be seen. After, no exaggeration 10 minutes, we got up from the table, walked past the same couple still waiting to pay and just left with the owners non the wiser customers had left. There are two things 29 needs to know. One, first impressions count and two, there are many other places to go in East Grinstead for breakfast/lunch etc. I do hope that you rectify the staffing issues and this review is useful to you?

We called in here late afternoon and took advantage of the 3 tapas and a drink for £22 offer, which is very good value. We had the tortilla, squid, pumpkin, chicken, patatas bravas, manchego and crackers. All really tasty and authentic. My only criticism would be the background music was too loud and not Spanish.
