Some of the tastiest tapas I’ve ever had. Such a great menu and delicious food. The mushroom croquettes, mushrooms in manchego sauce and goats cheese with baked goats cheese were particularly tasty. The group also loved the garlic prawns and tuna and potato salad. The service can be a little slow (it’s a small team and often busy), with a 20 minute delay sharing the menu. But once you order food it arrives really quickly. The only downside is the tree in the middle of the restaurant - it’s fun and pretty - but you have to bend down to get past it! Tricky if you have back or mobility issues.

Delicious tapas! Visited a few times now and the food has never disappointed. It feels like the waitresses could do with another pair of hands tho.

We visited Las Chicas last night (Saturday) with our three children for our first visit. The service was superb from the moment we arrived and the staff were incredible - thank you so much. The food was absolutely amazing and the best tapas we have had. We sampled some of the cocktails and our children loved the alcohol free cocktails. We will certainly be returning and highly recommend a visit.

We had a lovely time at Las Chicas, the staff were friendly, the food was great and the atmosphere was good... I recommend the Gambas, Bravas, Pork Belly and cheese cake..

After reading good reviews, I decided to book Las Chicas for my girlfriends birthday. It proved to be an inspired choice. The food was amazing, particularly the flat iron Steak and the Prawns, everything was so flavoursome and well presented. Portion sizes were ample too. The service was great, with just enough space between dishes and we never felt rushed at all. The prices are reasonable as well. Highly recommen this restaurant!!

Part of the festival this evening but won't allow paying customers access to the loo. Was told no toilet available. Putting a strain on one establishment to provide the facilities.

My husband and I booked a table for today, Valentine’s Day. The restaurant was very busy on our arrival. The waitresses were very busy and took a while to take our order, but they were very nice and we were not in a rush. My Piña colada was delicious. We ordered the food that also took a while to come but was very good. I liked the environment and I will defo go back during a less busy time.

I’ve travelled to almost every part of Spain, and this place serves the best tapas I’ve ever had outside of Spain. We absolutely loved it there. It was our first time visiting, and we will definitely be back time and time again. The quality of the food was so noticeably fresh and well prepared. No cheap olive oil or meats, and even the bread tasted very fresh. Between two people, I’d say maybe go for five dishes. Some are quite big and you’ll definitely leave with a happy full stomach. I can’t even pinpoint what the highlight dish was as they were all amazing. The photo shows CROQUETAS DE JAMÓN (left) and COCA DE JAMÓN, QUESO BRIE, MEMBRILLO Y AJO CONFITADO (right), only sorry I didn’t get more photos. The atmosphere of the place was extremely lively. We went downstairs to the bar first and had some cocktails before heading up in time for our reservation. Drinks are as authentic as the food. Highly, highly recommend. Great quality fresh delishes tasting food with an exceptional service by Sabrina and wonderful atmosphere. I do love the tree as it brings you closer to nature. I cannot wait for my visit next week. Staff polite and helpful. Manager even came and ask how was my meal. Niggle I had to fight for a good seat and only 1 hour I was allowed so did not have time to take any photos 😂eat fast and leave!

We came on a Wednesday night via a late booking. The style and atmosphere of the restaurant is wonderful. The service was excellent and the food was great. You can park very near by in the local car park for free after 1800.

The menu sounded great. The ideas of the food - brilliant apart from nothing is cooked fresh. We had a meal with errors, from hair in food, to 3 out of the 4 dishes not warm - waitress said they should be hot as they already had 7 minutes in the microwave!. The waitresses are pleasant young people doing their very best. Expensive food for freezer to plate tapas. Not much of an atmosphere to speak of with a very irritating fake Olive tree in the middle of an indoor eatery???.

Had a great experience overall. Pros: food was delicious, portion sizes were good, food came out quickly, restaurant had a nice vibe, tapas prices were reasonable, we were given about 2hrs 15 mins for our meal which is more than the 1hr 30mins that is set for table bookings. Cons: limited parking outside the restaurant (however, there are 2 very close car parks that are free in the evening), should be told at the start of the meal what time you need to vacate the table (when we were told we had 15 mins left we hadn’t actually ordered our deserts yet), the separate bar (underneath the restaurant) is a very different vibe to the restaurant. It would be better if the bar was more chilled and sophisticated (like the restaurant) rather than the ‘party’ type bar with loud music that it currently is. Thoroughly recommend Las Chicas! A great local business.

I've been looking forward to visiting here for a while, heard good things and was excited when my friends and I where free to go. On booking you receive a long message informing you of the rules.. table only your for 90 minutes, if you are more than 15 min late it's given away or the time is taken off your time slot. It also has some advice on pre dinner drinks. I'm not from faringdon so thought it may be a super busy restaurant. We arrive at 1755. The "please wait here" sign is placed 2 steps in front of the door so it's a weird squeeze to stand there. The member of staff is then a further 3-4 steps away asking for your details whilst people are walking between you. You are told (not asked) to spray your hands. The decor is beautiful and we were seated in a restaurant with only 2 other tables occupied. These left around 1845 so we had the place to ourselves. We had to order drinks first before being allowed the food menu. We ordered fresh lemonade and received small bottles of Schweppes at £3 each. We ordered 13 dishes between us and it was all very lovely except for the Olives which tasted weird and coated our teeth with a squeaky film. It's all well presented, taste is varied. Some dishes exceptional some middle of the road. We ordered burnt cheese cake and churros for dessert. Cheese cake I highly recommend. At 2000 we were asked to leave as the booking for our table had arrived.. ever so strange as we were the only people in the restaurant, they could of seated them elsewhere. As stated this was my first visit they could of said please feel free to go downstairs to our cocktail bar but thru didn't. We stood outside wandering where to go so we walked down the street and found their bar and had a few drinks in there. I would recommend here for the food and decor ( except for weirdly placed empty beer bottles) but you won't get a warm invitation or feel wanted. Bill was £140. 6 soft drinks no alcohol

Lovely Spanish restaurant with an excellent choice of Tapas dishes with something for everyone.

Such a lovely night! We ordered and the food was so good we ordered a whole second round before pudding. Really gorgeous Spanish cuisine. Would highly recommend!

Amazing venue, we celebrate my friends birthday, and it was really good, we went to the cocktail bar first and I asked for a cocktail that wasn't in the menu and they had no problem with making it for me. In the restaurant food wase very tasty, and they accommodate for allergies and intolerances very well. Service was great, manager was helpful and nice, and the waitresses were lovely too. I can't wait to come back for my birthday, I really recommend it.

Really good vegetarian selection and lovely wine too

This is an awkward review to write because there’s much that is really good about this restaurant. Food is great, really tasty and well presented. The decor is stunning, the lighting is ambient and it creates a generally nice atmosphere. The table staff are also friendly and efficient. However, there are a few really odd aspects that have coloured my view of the restaurant and all of which have been mentioned in other reviews below. On arrival, you are instructed to spray your hands which post covid is perfectly reasonable, BUT the way in which you and your party are robustly instructed to use it is a bit much but sets the tone, really. The welcome from the owner is not a friendly one and there are no smiles or warm welcomes. You really feel like your arrival is a necessary evil. Secondly, again the table staff are friendly enough but you’re not allowed the food menu at the same time as the drinks menu. I think this is to stagger orders into the kitchen but does make it awkward to decide whether you want red, white or rose wine because you don’t know what food you’ll be eating. The owner is occasionally seen, glaring or scowling at you and your table. Finally, this is a small town with limited choice for eating out. You are not allowed to book a table unless you pay £5 deposit per head at the time of booking. Your table isn’t confirmed until they can see the deposit in their account which may not even be the same day you book. I personally wouldn’t have an objection to providing card details in case we don’t turn up (for a similar deposit too) but given I’ve been here many times, ordered food and drink a plenty, and have never not turned up, I feel offended by this as the assumption seems to be that this is an upfront insurance claim for something that hasn’t actually happened. In defence of the owner, not everyone has a sunny friendly disposition but be aware that you are coming across as brusque, rude and dismissive of paying customers. You’re not making people feel welcome. On the plus side, the food is very good though, if you don’t mind the bizarre management approach.

Had one night in town on a works trip so we decided to pop in here for the evening and we weren’t disappointed. The food was gorgeous and so was the wine (can’t claim that back though 😅) . Would definitely recommend 😊

We’ve been meaning to try Las Chicas for some time and after trying the food tonight I’m sad we haven’t been sooner! The service was good for a surprisingly busy Wednesday (we will definitely book next time!) and the restaurant has a cute quirky vibe. The margarita was impeccable. The food was excellent, so much choice for vegetarian food and the berenjenes con molases (aubergine) was out of this world! It’s great to be able to get such authentic Spanish food in Faringdon.

A brilliant evening experiencing the best tapas dishes in the area. We had the octopus, sardines, prawns, patatas bravas, lamb rump, Padron peppers, bread with aioli, goats cheese and croquettas 😋 fabulous cocktails and superb deserts. My first, but certainly not my last, visit to this restaurant in Faringdon. As eating in restaurants is getting more and more expensive, yet, often quality doesn’t follow the same pattern. We had an amazing meal and the service was impeccable. The food was fresh, tasty and seemed to have been prepared ‘a la minute’, rather than just heated up. Tapas can sometimes be a bit ‘greasy’ and heavy. This place just delivered top quality food and it was an absolute pleasure! THANK YOU!! We will be back very soon.

I do highly recommend making a reservation. There are not many tables and for our Thursday night dinner every single one was full. We moved into the restaurant for our reservation and had a wonderful time. We found that the servers were attentive, the restaurant and bathroom was clean, and the food was delicious. For the two of us we ordered seven items and we probably could’ve done with only six. We had a good combination of meat/seafood/extras. For dessert, we ordered the combination of coffee with a mini order of the churros. The churros were good and the chocolate sauce was some of the best I’ve ever had. The café con Leche was also delicious. I would definitely go again and I recommend that you go as well.

The tapas dishes were delicious! There were plenty of vegetarian options too. I was pretty disappointed with the churros as they seemed a bit stale and were a bit pale instead of golden, but the main food was great and I'd come again. With regards to the decor, the chairs were a bit too low for the tables, and there is a huge plastic tree in the middle of the restaurant that you need to duck under to get around. The staff and customers are constantly ducking under the branches to be able to walk around and near the entrance there are lots of plants hanging from the ceiling that also get in your way with the low ceilings. The staff were super friendly too.

We had a great experience in La Chicas in Faringdon recently. We had a couple of cocktails downstairs . and then asked for a table upstairs in the restaurant. It’s a nice place upstairs,got a few decorative trees as well . We had an allergy,which was addressed, ( not a problem ) Super menu , great drinks menu ,and excellent wine. We very impressed with the food ,service was first class . There is a young chef in the kitchen ,and she is fantastic. The sweets were very yummy. All in all a very good experience,.

We were delighted to be invited to your celebration! Your new sunny outdoor space is decorated beautifully and the Paella was to die for! We felt as if we were actually in Spain. Wonderful salads and olives, the hosts were friendly and efficient. The tapas is always excellent and I hear that you can hire the outdoor space for private functions....we'll definitely do that!

We arrived on time and the greeting by the owner was poor. We were required to wait (which is fine) but given no guidance for where to wait, nor offered a drink from the bar while we waited. To me this set a poor tone and it was reinforced over the evening. You shouldn't feel unwelcome at the door. We were seated under the tree which is surprisingly low and takes up a lot of room. It was nearly touching us when we were seated. Staff spent the night dodging it and passing hot food over our 2 yo cousin which didn't impress me. They were asked to stop and one did, the other server did not. Food looked good and mostly tasted good however both my wife and I had stomach issues the following day. It's the only meal we didn't share with family so I think that's the source. We had a lovely red ale but were not well attended and couldn't get a second. (Yup, they didn't seem interested in more business.) I found the prices average and portions slightly under average. Staff were clearly inexperienced and certainly tried to do a good job. Atmosphere was great except the stupid enormous tree that was absolutely in the way of staff and guests. This small town has numerous good options for restaurants/pubs and I really wish we'd gone elsewhere as at no point did I feel our business was welcomed.
