Salty Olive in Wokingham

I had my baby shower at Salty Olive, Susannah and the team were so so helpful from our first meeting and throughout. The food was amazing, there wasn’t enough they could do for us and I would 100% recommend them to anyone considering an event or just to pop in for a drink! The service was exceptional and Susannah always seemed to turn up every time I was thinking about needing a new drink with great recommendations! We were a large group of over 30 people and this did not phase the team! Thank you so much for making such a special event even better! I am so grateful for everything you have done for us! Food was excellent and the service from Gwen and Kieran was friendly and helpful. We visited mid-week and were very early in the evening on a cold February night so there was no problem getting a table - what we would say is that it deserves to be busier! Well worth wandering away from the main street for.

We came for lunch at the Salty Olive after running the Wokingham half marathon, and we had such a great experience! Friendly staff that made us feel welcome, took the time to explain the dishes and the food was really outstanding. The ambience is relaxing, a great bar with many dishes on display to help you choose. So different and a more enjoyable experience than going to a restuarant chain - Salty Olive definitely have a more personal touch. Definitely recommend this place!

Lovely new bar/dining experience in Wokingham. Nice to have something a bit different, as well as authentic. A lively bar/restaurant with multiple dining options, serving Spanish Tapas meals. The range of food is very wide, enough to suit all tastes. The quality of fresh produce was very evident, and the tastes of everything we had was very enjoyable. Would recommend.

Thank you Salty Olive for another amazing night this time for a valentines evening with my husband. Fantastic service all round we are always so welcomed by the staff who are so attentive and the food was excellent. Live music was great and a fun atmosphere for couples and groups. A must try at this wonderful restaurant in the heart of Wokingham. Along with a brilliant chef thank you for the tasty food.

I’d wanted to try here for ages and we finally got round to it on our anniversary. I had booked the back room but when we arrived I preferred the bar seating so they were able to move us to here. It seems they are dog friendly in this bit as well as there was a little dog with the couple next to us. We had a lot of food - around 7 cold dishes, patatas bravas, padron peppers, chilli prawns and beef sliders, plus a couple of glasses of wine each and was around £85 including tip which I thought was very reasonable! Definitely will be coming back, excellent addition to Wokingham

I visited the Salty Olive on a whim after wanting to try somewhere new to eat amongst the vast selection of eateries in Wokingham. The food is absolutely delicious - varied and prepared fresh, and with an environment designed for socialising, this place hits the nail on the head. It is relaxed and inviting. If you want fast food where you eat and run, it's not really designed for you, and for that reason I love it! I love being able to sit for periods of time relaxing and socialising with friends and family whilst a steady flow of small plates and good wine feed the conversation. Following the meal I asked if the venue can be hired for private events...and so was born my 40th birthday party at the Salty Olive. Susannah and her team could not have been more helpful and accommodating in the creation of my party. From the planning, the budgeting, the guest list, and the play list, to the bespoke cocktail welcome drink, incredible food and my pyramid of Portuguese tarts, the event went off without a hitch. Everything was as I had expected and planned for, the staff made all my guests feel welcome and we were well attended throughout. Salty Olive is now my go to restaurant in Wokingham, whether I want a low key mid week meal out, or something more special.

What a great New Years Eve. Went for the set menu and there was more than enough food to keep us going over the 4 hours we were there. Lovely to have all the management and staff together at midnight doing a countdown and wishing everyone a happy new year while the band played. Many a year we have been in a restaurant and it would be "is it midnight now" ! Special thanks to our waiting staff who were so attentive and polite, and obviously well trained. Didn't rush us but were there when we needed something. We have been here a number of times with various family and friends and each experience has been great. We come here maybe a two or three times a month. We seem to find different atmospheres within this establishment. It’s never the same every time but after last time there is a rather interesting point. We always enjoy our time here generally however the staff always seem on edge when the older Welsh lady with red hair is on Is on shift and never are as friendly as they were before when she is not there. It really creates a different impression on the atmosphere here.

We held my husbands 50th birthday at the Salty Olive in Wokingham on Saturday evening and it was a complete triumph. From the impeccable service, the gorgeous cuisine and the electric atmosphere, in every possible way it exceeded our expectations. Susannah and her team were incredible, so attentive and my husband had the best time ever! Paul Zarb and his band were playing in the restaurant and the place was absolutely buzzing throughout the evening. I don't think one diner left until the music stopped. I would 200% recommend a visit to this delightful place. Thank you so much to the whole team for an amazing evening.

I went their with a friend after having the place during summer . However being black is not good l dragged my friend after being in leafy elephant. The music was good . However when my friend spoke to different waiter for second bottle we were treated like thiefs what he was told by one waiter was different. We was shown the door as theifs rather than customers who enjoyed the live music being played. Am sorry being BLACK is not good for you will not come whilst l did lovev your olives. Cant believe trying and talking to diffrent waiters had to get us thrown like criminals

We had the bottomless brunch and there was so much food and drinks. The food was so amazing and so tasty. The service was outstanding as well. We really enjoyed our time and will most definitely be back. Thank you.
