Côte Wokingham in Wokingham

Everyone was friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my meal, and in particular the confit pork belly. They had a nice selection of wine. Everything was well priced for the quality.

A disappointing visit celebrating a birthday with family. We had possibly the worst table in the restaurant, right by the kitchen, so lots of people walking past all the time. Service was very slow with lots of different people coming to take orders etc. Two burger orders were muddled up, so mine came completely plain, despite just ordering no bun or truffle mayonnaise. Normally the food and attentive service in this restaurant are excellent, but sadly not on this occasion. Staff didn't seem to know who was doing what, and no one seemed to be in control.

We visited Cote for our 16th wedding anniversary. Was welcomed and shown to table where there was an anniversary banner. Service and food was amazing, very well priced Definitely recommend visiting

Ordered from the set menu? Value for money. Sadly the mushroom/pepper sauce should have been with beef, it drowned my chicken .... which was a tad tough 😞 - dessert was disappointing. Would I go back- probably. To see if it improves. Staff lovely.

Had a lovely brunch at Cote this morning for my sisters birthday. Food was lovely and service was excellent - they even put a birthday banner up and gave us free mimosas which was a lovely surprise. Thank you we will be back 😊

We like Côte because it is consistently good. The menu changes according to the season and sometimes there is a free drink offer, alcoholic or non - alcoholic. To be fair, the prices have gone up but for the quality it is still value for money.

Really off hand, couldn't care less attitude. It's a lovely venue, but the staff aren't attentive, which makes a visit less than perfect.

A really enjoyable time. We were 3 generations and everyone found more than enough on the menu. The team were friendly and helpful. We were not rushed, there was absolutely nothing to be negative about!

Me and my boyfriend came here for our Valentines dinner. The service was amazing and a lovely atmosphere, however… The food was okay when we had it but we both came home and were severely ill. This is not the first time this has happened when eating here. I am very disappointed as we like it here but are now put off from coming again!

Had a lovely brunch at Cote on Saturday with my friend Sharon, and we both went for the Break Deal (Hot Breakfast, Juice, Tea or Coffee). The food was fantastic, and the service was great too. If I had to pick one thing to improve, it would be that after we'd finished our meal and drinks, no one was proactive in offering us another tea or coffee. Overall, though, a really enjoyable experience, and I’d definitely return!

Excellent food prepared to perfection. Perfect steak tartare and duck mouthwatering. All seasoned well and served with a smile by lovely staff.

Always a nice menu that changes a few times in the year. Nice decor and atmosphere, but mostly very competent and friendly staff who always go above and beyond.

We had a very tasty meal - all 7 of us enjoyed their food and the drinks. The service was attentive without being intrusive, the food delicious and served promptly. We were allowed to relax between each course, but not to an extent where we wondered when the next course was coming.

One of the worst meals I have ever had along with terrible service. 45 minutes from sitting down before our starters even arrived and we'd pre-ordered! Food was bland and cold. As for the vegetarian butternut squash tart, this looked like something the cat threw up and was completely inedible. I can't believe people actually go here to eat. I for one certainly won't again! There should be the ability to have negative stars! Update: They replied below with their stock response so I contacted them but absolutely nothing came of it. Seriously, don't waste your money there.

Food is good here however I find the Eton location makes more effort with their dishes so given 3 stars. Staff and atmosphere are good and will continue to come.

Lovely fresh, tasty food from the sensibly priced set menu with friendly service. Portion sizes were good - quality over quantity. Not been for quite some time and fed up with paying over the odds for very mediocre food, so really pleasantly surprised so will definitely go back.

We go here as a large group for a Christmas lunch every year and they never disappoint. The staff were perfect, even calling out people's names when they arrived with dishes. The food was beautifully presented, well cooked, tasty and in good portions. If they can handle a group of 20 so we'll a table of four is going to be a doddle! Certainly worth visiting if you haven't already done so.

I recently enjoyed a delightful vegetarian breakfast at Côte in Wokingham. The breakfast was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The perfectly cooked mushrooms and cherry tomatoes, combined with the creamy avocado and perfectly seasoned spinach, created a truly satisfying meal. The toast was the perfect accompaniment, providing a satisfying crunch. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff. I would highly recommend this vegetarian breakfast to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying start to their day at Côte.

Lovely evening with good food and friendly attentive staff

We like it and keep going back when we want something a bit more splendid but fair priced. Staff seem to be well trained. Portions of main might feel small to people wanting to overeat whike missing the starter / pudding. We tend to do healthy portions so all good. Want too much, get a side or too.

My hubby took me away for my Birthday a couple of weeks ago. He booked Cotes in Wokingham for our Saturday evening meal. All I can say is amazing, the table was all made up especially for my memorable day and we were served by Michelle who was so lovely and made my birthday so special. A truly lovely girl and Elliot also helped serve us and was also lovely. They both sang happy birthday with a surprise candle in my dessert - it was lovely and the food was just gorgeous and also the wine. If we are ever planning to visit that vicinity again, we will be sure to book a table here and hope both Michelle and Elliot are still working there to greet us with their genuine smile and professionalism. 10 out of 10!!

I despair with Côte. I keep giving it a try and am disappointed every time. There is always some glaring issue with food or service or communication. Bookings go missing, food is uncooked, staff are extremely inattentive to their customers. Today was the final straw for me, didn’t even eat there after another total muck up with the reservation. Never again! There are so many better places in Wokingham where service is top notch and food is consistently good. Give this a wide berth.

We were served tonight by the stunning Michelle. As someone who worked in the industry since she was 16, I can confidently say that she is an asset to your team and a real gem. Don’t let her go. The service was beyond phenomenal, the food was fantastic and the vibe was soothing. All in all a wonderful time and we will be returning!

Had a really good experience here with a waitor and sadly I cant remember his name! We were here for my mum's 70th birthday meal and they couldnt have made it more special. We have never tried one of the Cote chains before but honesty this has made us want to come back more. Thank you for an amazing birthday meal!

I was disappointed with the food. I ordered an expensive cheese soufflé, but it was overcooked. My dessert was a yuzu macaron, but it was impossible to eat. It was hard as a rock; even a knife couldn't cut through it. When I spoke to the manager about it, he laughed and made a joke. Despite having a 3-course meal, we still had some space left in our stomachs for more food.

So happy the two of us were able to slip in without a reservation. The restaurant was busy but the service was fantastic! We had a wonderful filet mignon dinner (meat cooked to perfection—medium rare) complemented with a well dressed green salad and green beans almondine. We also had a half carafe of fabulous French Cabernet Sauvignon. We wrapped up dinner sharing a crème brûlée topped with macerated strawberries & basil!!

Truly lovely from start to finish. We went celebrating my partner's birthday, they had a little banner up for him and treated us to a dessert with a little candle. The food was delicious, french onion soup, chicken liver parfait, beef cheek bourguignon and duck l'orange I'd all recommend - so tender and flavourful!

The food at Cote is always amazing. We love going here. This time we went for our anniversary, they surprised us by putting up a ‘happy anniversary’ banner which was a great little touch. The service was welcoming, warm and friendly as always. The steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned along with the dauphinoise. We highly recommend Cote and can’t wait to go back there.

The staff here are brilliant - made us feel relaxed and welcome even though our toddler was not wanting to play ball. With a less friendly set of staff we would have given up and gone home but ended up having a lovely meal

First time visiting a cote resturant , food was really lovely, pleasant service, staff all welcoming and friendly only thing that stung slightly was she asked if we would like water at the table, we did but then realised we would be charged when they bought a bottle of mineral water, the family that came in after us asked for tap water, which we should have done, just didn't think, I think the staff should give customers that option rather than catch you out with nearly £5 a bottle for water. They also add a service charge to the bill so I didn't tip, as we personally don't tip when there's a high charge for the service. That aside, food was incredible and staff attentive and helpful. We would definatley return.

Amazing food and service. Team work so hard led by Andrew who is a real gentleman and went out of his way to make my dining experience the best! Andrew was very friendly and made sure every customer's food was the best it can be in terms of temperature and presentation. Great customer interactions and you can tell he is well respected by the team he has. Great to see this! I really like this Cote and will always try and come here for my food. The Pork belly was cooked to perfection along with veg so they have great chefs here too. The restaurant is very clean and with a lovely ambience. Thanks Gary (Guy sat on the table of 4 in corner next to the bar doing his expenses) ;o)

I took my daughter here for lunch on her birthday, we ordered the Tartiflette Luxe, a sharing platter for 2. When it arrived at the table we were both disappointed and underwhelmed, there was no Truffle saucisson, the sour dough baguette was sliced into 4 of the thinnest slices I have ever seen, almost splinters of bread , and the 6” tartiflette( no way was that enough for 2 @ £29) was missing the Reblochon cheese.

It was the first time the 3 of us had been to Côte. We booked for the Champagne breakfast of course. There was a vast amount of food to choose from which was great, the food was delicious, the team were lovely and welcoming. Safe to say will be returning.

We had a lovely dinner for our wedding anniversary. I'd indicated it in our reservation and when we arrived there was anniversary bunting at our table - a nice touch. Wine was nice, starter and mains were great and we both had a really nice Apple and Pear cake(?) desert. Staff were friendly and there was an overall warm buzz about the restaurant. A good evening out.

Very quiet at the time we were there (mid afternoon) but I'm sure would be livelier at more common times. Friendly helpful staff. Good food. Has reignited my like of Cote following a negative experience years ago. I would return now.

We booked a table for 10 in advance for a family Christmas meal. We travelled from all over the South to be there, we had a lovely relaxing time with good food and company. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit again!

Lovely food. Staff not so great. Sat with small child keeping her entertained, Waitress looking down her nose at me as if I were committing a crime. Using a toothpick after dinner, again absolute look of disgust from same Waitress when approached the table, asked me I would like a tooth pick to which I replied I had one but proceeded to go and get one anyway. Usual nonsense of adding a 10% service charge to the bill which was promptly removed.

There was a good selection of gluten-free dishes. Prices were reasonable for the quality of the dishes. The food was delicious and well presented. The staff were friendly and polite. Lovely restaurant with a good atmosphere.

Meet several friends for lunch, we all ordered off the set menu which was very good value. The service was very good, staff were polite and efficient A pleasant atmosphere, clean facilities. Accessable for wheelchair users, ramp from street pavement to the front door, although help with opening doors may be needed.

Spent a lovely, pre-baby, date night here with my wife. Gorgeous food, for a reasonable date night price. Only downside is the 10% service charge automatically added to the bill that seems to be of fashion lately.
