The best restaurants serving Default food in Wealden South East

We visited your cafe for tea and cake and the customer service we received was appalling, the tables were dirty and not being cleared or cleaned. We won’t be back.

Just superb! have been in the evening but never in the daytime - would hightly recommend this to anyone in the area! I had a buddha bowl style salad and we shared a sticky chicken/satay as a starter, my colleague had the fish gujons - all freshly made and really really tasty. A lovely young lady called Hayley looked after us. Staff were all working hard but didnt appear stressed and they atmosphere was lovely. Cant wait to try one of the 'jazz sundays' many thanks.

What a disappointment. The chips were clearly recooked from the lunch time batch. No where to complain other than taking them back, but we just had to bin 60% of it. Salad was stale, nuggets and chips burnt. Awful

A pesar de que el café era relativamente tranquilo, nos sentimos completamente pasados por alto e ignorados. Llegamos y estábamos sentados, solo para encontrar que todos a nuestro alrededor fueron atendidos rápidamente mientras estábamos sentados allí esperando. Tuvimos que esperar unos 20 minutos solo para tomar unas copas, y durante ese tiempo, la camarera nos pasó varias veces, pero nunca una vez tomó nuestro pedido. De hecho, la única vez que se acercó a nuestra mesa fue para tomar los menús para otra mesa. Lo que lo empeoró fue el comportamiento de un joven que trabajaba allí, que claramente estaba bastante ocupado, pero aún así logró servir a todas las demás mesas excepto a la nuestra. Era como si no existiéramos. A las personas que llegaron después de nosotros se les pidieron sus órdenes y sirvieron en poco tiempo, mientras seguíamos sentados, completamente ignorados. Tampoco pudimos evitar notar que éramos las únicas personas étnicas en el café, lo que hizo que la falta de servicio se sintiera aún más incómoda e inquietante. Parecía que nos estaban tratando de manera diferente en función de quiénes éramos. Nos fuimos sintiéndonos extremadamente frustrados y decepcionados por la clara falta de atención al cliente y la sensación de exclusión. Hay un problema serio con la forma en que se trata a los clientes aquí, y espero que la dirección tome nota de cómo crear un ambiente acogedor para todos los clientes. Hay un montón de cafeterías en la zona con mucho mejor servicio y respeto por sus huéspedes - por desgracia, Wake Cup no es uno de ellos.

Food is fantastic, home made chicken lie was brilliantly tasty and filling. Rooms are beautiful and even though I was in a sofa bed, it was very comfy and a great night sleep. Service was amazing. Building is beautiful.

best kebab, not greasy, lovely staff, highly recommend

This pub is my local and the ales are fantastic but just a word of warning that there is no longer lunch or dinner served except for special events....

pretty lovely pub for drinking pints of beer after hiking around the surrey hill, and chips are delicious. really enjoy my time with my friends singing songs here, all guys are good, and look forward to coming back again

We love this pub, the team are always friendly & welcoming. The food is excellent, I would highly recommend a Sunday Roast which comes with lots of vegetables, excellent gravy & very generous portions. The pub is warm & welcoming with a lovely large garden at the back which is gorgeous in the summer time.

This is now the catering facility for the Premier Inn next door and it is terrible. We had dinner the first night and breakfast for 3 mornings. Very limited dinner menu with some items still unable. Running on minimal staff so slow service. Overpriced for quality and quantity of food. Breakfast wasn’t too bad but again very limited menu with items not being available. No eggs for 2 days. Running on minimal staff so continental items soon ran out. Not the best customer service and felt like they didn’t want us there despite not really being that busy.

We had a very special afternoon tea for a birthday celebration and the food and service was wonderful. Thank you We even left with take away boxes which was a real treat for later!

Really enjoyed the Valentines Night meal in the restaurant. Lovely atmosphere with the new dark grey and gold wall panelling. Friendly pub too

Steak night! We never order steak when we are out for dinner! - This was epic! We shared a starter, Salt & Peppers Squid, steak for 2 (rump - rare), have the garlic mushrooms and roasted cherry tomatoes, and shared a dessert ( Apple Tart and cream) These guys know how to deliver! The steak was totally on point, lovely sear, and so tasty. Hats off to the dessert, I don’t have a sweet-tooth, but this was so good, to finish off an incredible dinner. Thanks, will be back again, and again! To add to this the service was amazing, Thank you. Almost forgot, the recommended French Merlot, £25 a bottle is a must! 5*’s
