My whole family have always gone to kao wah for Chinese. Never had any issues, always lovely and hot and would never go anywhere else! Very friendly people too .

Amazing lemon chicken and warm fried rice. Service was amazing, would recommend.

If you advertise you open at 7am then open at 7am. Drive miles to get here to get a coffee. Only to find still closed by 7.30

Will not use again. Slow, rude and then tried to give my order to someone else. Supposed to be fast food turned into a 40 minute wait!!

Lovely for a Sunday roast in front of an open fire. We were staying for a night in the village on a Sunday and walked up to this pub, the roast was huge and great value for £12, would cost £22 where we live!

Foods absolutely disgusting the roughest chicken shop going very poor manners no gloves used no hair nets gave me a dodgy stomach banned if you tell them about them self's delivery times are a joke definitely miss this place people

Came here with family for Sunday roast …. Food was really good and reasonable. As someone who has visited and ate here a few times, I have never had poor service or meals. The kids had deserts and loved the chocolate brownies ☺️. Would fully recommend as it is also a Harvey’s brewery pub too. 👍

Just want to thank Amy, Erin and team for all their hard work to ensure my party ran smoothly last Saturday. From the start of planning to the night of the event, nothing was too much trouble and all my questions were answered promptly. We were able to set up from 5pm on the night of the party and no one rushed us out of the door at the other end . We had the dining room set up for dancing and used the nearest bar. It was the perfect size for a party of 65. As the evening went on and the other side of the pub was quieter we were able to spill out. I choose to have the cold buffet option and everyone commented on how good the food was. They also cut up the cake (@sugarand slices) for me and gave out to guests. I have had so many messages from my guests complimenting the venue.! Thank you again😁

We booked a table for Thursday Pizza night yesterday evening which according to the barman, was any pizza or burger for £10, which is a good deal and indeed, the pizza's were very nice and cooked to order, great. However, paying the bill was a bit of a shock. A pint of Moretti beer was £6 but worst of all, a small glass of white wine was £9.50 and with a dash of soda water brought it up to £9.90!! This, in my view, is a total rip off. The automatic service charge of 12.5% which they added brought the total bill for just two pizzas and two drinks to over £40!! There are ways of increasing your customer base and encouraging new customers but in my view this isn't one of them. A pizza/burger night for just £10 each is great but to then serve rip off priced drinks and automatically add, not just 10% service charge which is acceptable though I think should always be discretionary, but 12.5% automatically, is not the way to increase your customer base. Would I recommend this pub to anybody, NO, I wouldn't.

Normally ok but this is a small chicken kebab £8 no sauce no salad. What a joke there are other options in Uckfield which I will now be going too

Just had a great Sunday roast, fab food, price and atmosphere will return very soon, previously have had a lunch also, great service all round
