Prezzo - Hailsham in Wealden

Im going to say it was not that bad but I couldn't really finish it of how bad it was. First of all, they covered my chips in mayo and sweet chilli but they put so much mayo I didn't eat all of it. Second, some of the food was cold, not enjoyable. And lastly, I don't recommend getting the burger. All they do is put sauce in then put a decent size patty in it but it tasted like a McDonalds chicken nuggets and looked exactly like one. It was a bit cold too. If you want to order this place, choose your selections wisely.

We t in ordered a chicken kebab large and got this. Not what I wanted and they didn't even listen to what I wanted so unhappy.

I have had diarrhea all morning after eating a Donner Kebab. I would normally opt for a shish which is freshly cooked unlike Donna that is cooked over days/weeks/months. From my Food intake prior and post the kebab I am completely sure it is this that made me ill.

We've previously been to this particular Prezzo and it's always been good - not this time! I took my sister there for her Birthday along with my partner, booked online and mentioned it was a Birthday celebration. When we arrived only one other table was occupied and they were eating their starters. Our drinks order was taken quickly. That was the only positive. The waitress took our food order - starters and mains (big price increase since our previous visit). 4 more tables were occupied whilst we waited for our starters. They all received their food and we were still waiting. There appeared to be a discussion with the chef and what we gathered was our main course was ready but they'd forgotten our starters. Eventually the starters arrived, I only had garlic bread which was under cooked. When the mains arrived all 3 were over cooked. We told the waitress who didn't seem surprised. The food was edible but totally not up to standard. A bill of just over £100, poor service, poor food, no apology, no mention of the Birthday (even though there were presents on the table). Won't be visiting again.

We went to Prezzo today. I had beef . And my wife had pizza. Goat cheese. The staff were friendly. Nice atmosphere. Will be going back again.

The service was ok. Food ok & wouldn’t have gone if I didn’t have the tastecard. Worst of all when the bill came & I tried to pay with old fashioned cash they said NO I couldn’t. Booked online & nothing online about card only & when we got to the restaurant we where not told it was card only. Hate restaurants that insist on card only !!

We came to celebrate my late mothers birthday, and the manager was outstanding, the warmest and loveliest person who has ever served us, despite our food being delayed (new chef so understandably), she made our visit incredible. She went above and beyond and the food was amazing. She made our evening so memorable and we can’t thank her enough for her hospitality

Lovely visit with extended family and our little grandson who is 15 months. All of the staff were lovely, but a special thanks to Steph who is new to the job, but was confident, welcoming, friendly and unflappable, there were a few items unavailable, but she was efficient in letting us know and what we selected instead was lovely. We had been put off by previous reviews as we had previously been regular visitors, but the new management and staff have made a remarkable difference. No hesitation recommending to friends and family. Well done on making the place a pleasure to visit again.

like most people we have been very disappointed in the Hailsham Prezzo but what a difference last night. New Manager and Chef. From the minute we arrived service was excellent. food was hot, well prepared and well presented. Would not hesitant to return with friends and family. Thank You - a credit to your bosses

Rather mixed first of all the positives it was nice to be deated in the gallery . Maisey our waitress was lovely very attentive even though they are obviously understaffed she was clearly under pressure but served us with a smile on her face even though she was having to apologise for the slow service. The Italian guy who I would assume was the manager was also doing his best to make us feel welcome. The downside was the food for example my main dish Crab & Lobster Ravioli was very small with virtually no taste & at £17.95 was a big disappointment my wife had a chicken dish which again lacked in taste. The starters & sweets were good. My overall impressions were that the setting is excellent the staff were friendly & obliging although short in numbers but the food somewhat lacking.

This was a totally different experience here than what we had last year. The food was delicious this time. I must say Eric the manager does everything he can to make sure you have a great evening. He works so hard. We live local and after our last experience thought we would never go back, but would definitely return but only with Tesco vouchers as very expensive.

Booked a table (5) as part of my Mums Special Birthday. We have never had a bad experience when coming here but last night was very disappointing! We ordered our meals no starters straight with the mains, there was x3 pizzas, a pasta dish and a special burger, and also a Side of summer vegetables to go alongside the pasta dish and some fries for the Pizzas. This all got ordered. The restaurant wasn’t that busy and when we arrived most people had been there a while and had already eaten. We probably had ordered our food and within 40 mins one girl came up to us and asked who ordered the burger so that person answered and we was told ‘they are very sorry’ they had run out of rocket/salad for the burger so we just was like don’t worry about it like it was completely stupid!- the table beside us there was a lady and she had ordered a salad yet she had salad leaves and rocket etc in her meal? So there clearly wasn’t a shortage. Anyway we waited and we waited and it got to about 2 hours until our food eventually came out. But it didn’t all come out together there was delayed times, then we waited another 10mins for the fries and side veg to turn up. No apologies during our visit for the food wait. We had to ask the waitress to order some more drinks as we didn’t get asked! We didn’t get asked if we would like any condiments. It really ruined our meal and I felt horrible on the behalf of My Mum as this wasn’t the Birthday meal we expected her to have. I mean they were clearly short staffed as there was 2 waitresses and one waiter on duty. And for the service to be as slow as it was is just ridiculous. I visited the toilet facilities during my visit, the toilets are ridiculously small sized and the one I went in you literally had to pull the hook on the door to close it to be able to lock it. There was no soap in one of the dispensers and the other dispenser the handle was very loose. The hand dryer was useless! I think that a lot of customers would be put off coming here for a meal before they go to the pavilion to watch a film as they are probably going to miss it!! So yes very very disappointing!

Best Burgers and kebabs for miles

Very disappointed. Normally order Sanchos but decided to ordered hailsham pizza as heard it was better quality and nicer food. It took 2 hours to get here, everything was luke warm and the chips were cold. All my shish kabab meat was charcoal burnt and very grisly. I never leave a review but this was so disappointing as it wasn’t a little bit of money spent. Will not be coming back sorry.

Sorry to say I wasn't impressed with my order from here. They actually have quite a nice website so when I went to pick up my order I was surprised it wasn't more of a pizza parlour as opposed to your typical kebab takeaway business you have in the UK. I'm sure the Kebabs are good but they just have too many other items on the menu. I think they should specialise in something instead of selling highly upmarket pizza and burgers at truck stop quality. I will not be ordering from here again unless I choose to get a kebab.

It had been some times since we last visited this converted old chapel of a Prezzo in Hailsham. We found that it had not changed in the meantime and is still offering excellent food and very friendly, welcoming service.

Prezzo in Hailsham is the best Prezzo I have visited, the building is a converted chapel so it's got a nice atmosphere. The food on this occasion was really good. The children's menu is great and the kids loved it. Only downside on this visit, and always at every Prezzo I have been to is slow service. The staff were very polite, but their speed let them down. Speed matters when you're eating with kids!!

Visited with family, table of 6 so a reasonable sized party.

Booked a table for 4. Two of us (a couple) wanted the £16.95 offer which included a drink. Our friends second couple wanted the “gin” deal offer which was available for 2 days only. We were told that we all had to have the same offer only. One of the party was driving so would not want the “gin” offer but we were told again it had to be all the same. We explained we would also want two separate bills and were told this could not be done, Prezzo can only issue one bill for the entire table. Then tried to order a mocktail to be told this was not possible as they had no lemonade. When food arrived best to say it was just average and not worth the hassle we encountered.
