The best restaurants serving Default food in Wealden South East

Fantastic lovely atmosphere and a lovely meal fish and chips blinking nice 😊never had a bad meal good on all have a lovely Christmas see you soon trevxx and sue Hobbs crowbrough 🥳

Big improvements over the last year or so, food generally good, hot, fresh and tasty, 2/3rds of the staff really quite nice, the other 1/3 could do with anti grump lessons.... Overall, worth a punt.

Sadly the roast beef was very similar to a cheap very thin and chewy steak The parsnips were underdone and the food was just about warm, not hot. For the price of a roast at £22 it's should be perfect. Wish we'd chosen something else. Lots on the plate though which was nice.

Reluctantly returned after my last review. So many friends would not go back as just not good enough. Pleasantly surprised to have delicious food ( on nice hot plates). Service pleasant - to be fair waitress who served us always excellent). Will definitely recommend friends to try again!

Underwhelmed by their chips.... Fish was okay. Didn't realize that they would leave the skin on during cooking when I ordered haddock. 🤔

Wow , I occasionally pop in now and again for chicken and chips, always ask for I piece of chicken, but tonight when I got home and unwrapped what I thought was a present, 2 pieces of chicken, !! Boom, honestly you guys, happy Easter

My wife is heavily pregnant and has a craving for spring onion. She was craving Duck tonight. I called up and explained her cravings and they gave her a whole tub of spring onions. Very friendly snd great food. Thanks guys 🙂

Delivery was quoted up to 50 mins , came within 15 min , we ordered 2 rice and they only bought 1 but it was sorted pronto after a quick phone call . Check the bag when the driver hands it over

An excellent restaurant in a classic country Inn. Lovely welcome from the staff, wide range of menu choices, good value, and willing to adjust around Gluten-free needs. Highly recommended.

Great spot for a sunny lunch after the Bluebell Walk. Lovely garden with a kids’ play area, friendly staff, and fresh, tasty pub food. The Sussex Smokie was exceptional—one of the best I’ve had. Good kids menu. We’ll definitely return!

Lovely little garden centre but not suitable for unfit or disabled as very steep in places.

Had a brilliant Easter lunch at the Red Lion a few days ago. We hadn't booked anything but a lovely young lady called Ella found us a table and looked after us. The food was delicious and great portion sizes. It was a lovely atmosphere and they were setting up for a live band later. Staff were very helpful and friendly; we will definitely be going back again soon.
