Food is ready quickly and tastes great. I don't live in Uckfield anymore but if I did, I'd order here again.

Really nice food, with a wide variety of choice at reasonable prices and large portion sizes, and was ready 20min after ordering on a Friday evening. Would definitely recommend and will be getting food from here again.

Brilliant takeaway, really good food but be warned gets very busy. Took me 20 minutes to get through to place order, then 90 minutes for it to be ready to collect. Worth it though one of the best chinese takeaways i have ever had.

Ordered food on a busy Saturday night. Lovely girl on the phone took the order. Told to pick up in 45 minutes. On arrival, first class service. Food was ready. Hot and delicious. Best Chinese in Uckfield.

Take away only here. It's been here for years which says a lot. Always popular because it serves great food and good value for money. Allow plenty of time for your order to be cooked at busy times. I always telephone my order.

Best Chinese in the area by far and decent portions and good prices, definitely a community favourite. Ignore the negativity post from a couple of people who are ultra picky. The staff are awesome and very polite and the chefs are happy to make arrangements. I highly recommend this place. If they had a delivery driver this place would skyrocket in sales.

Have lived in Uckfield for years but only just tried the Golden Dragon. Delighted to have a great tasting meal, reasonable price. Only problem was a long wait, 1hr 20 for a takeaway is a lot! Food though was well prepared and tasty . Will be trying again to see if the long wait was a one-time though

First time going there and was amazed at how cheap it all came out to be. £34 for 7 dishes with some freebies added in? Amazing food as well! So full, I think the food will last a couple of days lol. The young lady in front of house was great, took the order really fast, and was very personable and professional, answering my daft questions with great detail. Definitely my new go-to takeaway.

Ordered £40 worth of takeaway and it all was consistently poor.greasy and taste less it’s a real shame as it use to be one of the better takeaways.will not be recommending or returning

Asked for “Extra hot with extra chillis please. One, …. I repeat I got ONE slice of chilli in my “salt and chilli prawn” dish. King prawn fried rice has never tasted so bland, I guess the spices took a night off. The “owner” was rude from the off when I rang to subtly discuss the lack of chilli and he just laughed at me then told me I’d get ill if I ate chillis. I asked to speak with the manager he laughed and said “NO-I’m the owner”. I said why aren’t you taking my complaint seriously if you own the business, he told me they did nothing wrong. I argued politely he remained defensive&rude, he told me to collect my money, I did, all the while he shouted at me repeatedly that I was to never return . This photo is the hair in my food. The young man was rude shouted and aggressive.

I chose you because of your ratings. But was dis disappointed Chinese . Chicken curry always comes with mushroom’s ,no mushrooms in the dish.. Hot sour soup disappointing . Chrissy duck very good . Feed back is good . Many thanks

Great food and service, definitely worth a go

After waiting 2 hours we were expecting something spectacular instead we could barely eat our food my beef tasted like egg and smelled odd. I have been up through the night vomiting and now have diarrhoea as does my partner!!! Most annoying I would never eat here again or recommend anyone to eat here. Especially not when they are busy maybe the standards slip I wish I had ordered from Thai Terre

Ordered from here a few times now, everything is prepared quickly and nice and hot when I get it home. Food has always been really well done and plenty of it. Will definitely be using Golden Dragon every time we feel like Chinese!

We have been ordering take away from the Golden Dragon for well over 30 years and it has never been anything but excellent. On odd occasions we have tried other takeaways locally but nothing compares in quality value and good service

Had mushroom noodles last night, it was swimming in oil and really horrible. My husband had chicken curry, that wasn't nice either. Cheap meat, will not be returning.

Boiled beef, no sauce and generally tasteless. The worst Chinese we’ve ever had. Why people use frozen cheap aged meats is beyond me. The margins are very good but they are greedy and not interested in people returning.

I thought that not being able to have gluten or msg would mean no Chinese for me. Other local Chinese takeaways couldn't help me but the Golden Dragon couldn't help me enough. They talked me through what I could and couldn't have and adapted my favourite dishes. The food was delicious. Not greasy and great flavour. Thank you so much! We'll be back.

Sunday evening is our treat for the week always hot and plenty have used this place a few years now won't go anywhere else so so happy with this place chef was so good when I had to get order for care staff in a home on the forest they loved it so much thank you for fantastic food chef

Have used the takeaway several times, always great food and service, always a smile. Called in very late to place an order on a Sunday evening just before they were due to close. Absolutely no problem at all. Would definitely recommend them.

Very average, bland dishes which took me back to the Chinese takeaways I had growing up in the 1980s.

This is the review worth believing: Chicken balls: not greasy but crisp and juicy. Customer service: warm and friendly and decent turn around time. Quality: consistently perfect in over 30 orders Complaints: don't offer salt and chilli/ honey ribs as full size.....yet!! Hint hints. Extras: talking to staff in person and on phone is a treat. They often remember you and make you feel like part of the community. Conclusion: if I didn't live within walking distance of this takeaway I would drive past many alternatives to get here. No exaggeration!

Eaten here now a dozen times having previously frequented another Chinese on the high street. Originally suggested this place by a couple of friends and so thought I’d try it. Glad we did as this is by far the best Chinese in offer in the town and now our go too for our Saturday takeaway. They also do an awesome lunchtime meal at circa £5 with generous portion sizes.

Anyone who tells you that this isn't the best Chinese in Uckfield is completely mental. This place is absolutely excellent. Always with free Prawn Crackers as well.

I was living nearby and warned it was not the best. It specializes in American 1960s style Chinese food which as a Canadian we haven't seen for at least two decades but I remember liking as a teenager. Anyway I ordered the set menu for 1 which was Chop Suey, Fried Rice and I ordered the King Prawns option and an order of two egg rolls. It is a take-out place. I took it home to find the King Prawns were actually small breaded shrimp. The Chop Suey and Fried Rice were not very good and most of this dinner ended up in the garbage. I did eat the egg rolls which were okay and actually quite large. Will not go back.

I consider myself someone whom takes the reviews of Chinese food seriously. I have been to China as a delegate and have eaten from many takeaways. I have sampled rice that unintentional contained bugs from lesser establishments and have experienced the most amazing sweet and sour duck (horsham). However when I moved to Uckfield, not fifty yards from the Golden Dragon I did not expect to be so lucky. The food is literally amazing. Not greasy, not cold, not short on portions. After many years of scouring the land for the perfect takeaway I may have found it. Okay, I wish the salt and pepper ribs weren't those pointless short things but everything else has been perfect. I do not use such language lightly. Thank you Golden Dragon for being excellent but when I lose all my limbs through diabetes I may rethink my gratuitous appreciation. If you are the last meal I ever have I will have died happy. James

Nos recomendaron este lugar cuando alguien dijo que no había tenido un chino, ya que mover a la zona de los alrededores hace 4 años. Fuimos a pedir de una joven muy agradable. Teníamos carne, pollo y champiñones crujientes, langostinos con fideos, un plato de carne y arroz. Muy buen servicio. Fue un muy sabroso y llevar a un precio razonable. Sin duda volveremos.

Ordered from our local Chinese take away, has always been reasonable, but on this occasion it was bad ordered chicken curry, might as well have been onion curry with large chunks of under cooked onion being the main ingredient, also had prawn sweet and sour the prawns were dry and like rubber all I can say is it just have changed ownership or chef very very disappointed shameful

I have only recently discovered this one because of the road works. I used to use the one in the high street but this one is equally as good. Nice food, nice people !

We've ordered from 3 or 4 times and it's always been excellent quality food and ready at the stated time. We're new to the area but I have no plans to try any other Chinese takeaway as this is so good!

Told to wait 30 minutes, ended up waiting an extra 30 minuits only to be given the wrong order. Food was tastleless, was thoroughly dissapointed with both the service and the food. I will not be ordering again.
