Green Chilli Indian Takeaway in Wealden

Curry was delicious until I found what looked like a pubic hair in my madras so disappointing we have been ordering from them for years . So unless you’re after free dental floss I wouldn’t order from this takeaway .

Me and my wife rung close to closing times the clearly inexperienced lad was very very rood and refused to take our order very disappointed as I’ve heard that the food is nice what a shame to have someone like this let your business down

I like to give feedback hoping it is reviewed by the restaurant and acted upon. The main dishes had a lovely complex sauce but to add to them barely cooked onion and peppers is not appreciated, not to mention the soggy garlic naan.

2nd time ordering from here this month, shame the chicken was so dry and chewy. I also forgot to mention on my last review that the potatoes were under cooked and hard. I only try a place a few times if they can't get it right!

Great curry, great delivery but the onion bhajis were not on point this time, greasy and floppy. Usually great, won’t let it put me off though, will be reordering!

We last used this restaurant back in 2020 and at the time were very disappointed, poor quality and a Madras that tasted more like tomato soup. What a turn around, congratulations to the chef for providing such tasty meal. it was a good portion and was full of spices. LOVELY!

Food was great. .. i no the delivery takes u to the back of the house (weve only been here 2 weeks) but the delivery drive asked where to go to next time i.e it is a walk to the front door and if you dont no you dont no but asked anyway so 10 outa 10

The Korma in my opinion was a little too sweet, but overall I did like this. The naan was delicious and the portion sizes were great, too much food for just me though 😂 Definitely give it a try!

Just dropped in as working local, I'm someone who eats a lot of indian food all around the country. This is by far the best I've eaten in a long time. Quick service, polite man serving, and great food. The Indian chilli chicken is just perfect.

Firstly I must apologise for my review on 6th April, it was not the fault of the restaurant. My food was stolen from my property. The food delivered last night 8th April was of the usual top quality but Green chilli restaurant. This is definitely one of the highest quality Indian restaurants in East Sussex. Thank you to the team for truly excellent food.

The food was not very good. The aloo gobi was severely undercooked and had to be put in the microwave to make it edible. The chicken was dry, the keema naan was overly salty and the pilau rice was very bland. The Poppadums however were excellent. Sorry for a bad review but overall we were very disappointed.

Food had not arrived by 0045. Restaurant would not answer the phone. I am £27 out of pocket. Absolutely disgraceful 😤

Missing item from takeaway. Not impressed with the meal. Naan bread missed from order and by the time it arrives there is little that can be done about it. The meal did arrive on time, which was good. As a curry lover of about 40 years, I can honestly say that my meal was bland. The rice and onion bhaji were ok, but the samosa was very small looking as if it came out of a packet and was simply deep fried. My curry, and my wife’s were not what we expected having looked at the reviews before ordering. Mine was very dark, almost had the look of being overcooked - possibly why it lacked taste. I started eating curry in my teens and have been through just about the entire menu an Indian restaurant/takeaway has offered over the years, hence; I think I know a great curry for a poor or bland one. Needless to say, we won’t be ordering from here again.

Sent very very spicy dhansak and bhuna. It was inedible and then were so rude on the phone and put it down. Spent £40 will not use again. Everywhere I've ordered dhasak and bhuna in Eastbourne have been mild to medium. I was shocked by the food and the customer service. Awful.

Generally good but forgot my Naan that comes with the Balti.

General run of the mill takeaway curry house. Reasonable prices. Quick delivery. Not going to win any awards but if you fancy a good takeaway without blowing your bank balance a good choice.

Amazing staff and the food is something else, I ordered food from just eat to find when I paid it said your food is ready to collect, before I had even found the phone number my phone rung, the manager asked me if I realised it was collection and when I said no, he offered to deliver my food, not only was this very generous of him as it was obviously an error by just eat, the food was delicious and had some extra treats included. Great staff, great food, brilliant service, would 100% recommend.

Good portions. Loads of flavour. Absolutely stunning naan breads. I asked the owner what his favourite curry was that they made. He said the korai. I fully agree that their best curry is a lamb korai. Definitely try it!

Bland food. Poor vegatable curry side. Samosa x 2 was the size of a large crisp. Average main meal hence 3 Stars. Won't be going there again

I order from here a fair amount, it's my favourite indian locally but last nights was the worst i've ever had, my korma was really pale compared to normal, it didn't taste anywhere near as good as it normally does, my boyfriends also wasn't very nice, we ended up chucking it. unfortunately won't be ordering from here again

Always fantastic food from the Green Chilli. Good portions. Naans are to die for. Loads of meat and not over cooked. Try the korai, absolutely delicious. Delivery was extremely quick as well.

Would use again! Curries seemed well spiced, well cooked and made without the dubious amount of food colorings normally used , however a couple of issues. Ordered Lamb Buna, but delivered Chicken Buna. After a phone call, to their credit, they delivered corrected Lamb Buna within 30 minutes, GOOD and WELL DONE for correcting mistake (Although the delivery girl, very nice,, said her 'boss wanted the chicken Buna back', as if I was trying to pull a fast one! - I wasn't. Frist time using this restaurant, food was good, better than others in the area. Ordered Mint sauce in addition to Onion bhaji, just incase it didn't come with it (bhaji's normally come with sauce, but this restaurant doesn't) not an issue, now I know that mint sauce is extra. All in all, a slightly bizarre experience but willing to try again.

Honestly it arrived fast, but the taste was fricking nasty, I know we are in a cost of living crisis but it was nasty, people of hailsham must have no taste buds or be used to crap food

I recently ordered a take away. Specifically I ordered a Lamb Dansak. Was disappointed that there was so little lamb pieces - counted 5 small pieces and the rest was just sauce. I did provide feedback on Messanger but did not receive a response. Have therefore gone elsewhere for future takeaways.

Vegetable curry /biryani absolutely swimming in oil, literally could pour it. Delivery was longer than stated and unfortunately some of it was cold. Was bought on a Saturday. Revuew put on a Tuesday.
