Place never fails to impress me and my mates, food is always cooked fresh, chicken is always tender and delicious, and the staff very attentive and friendly, would definitely recommend bringing yourself or a big group of people here.

Went out for family meal was lovely food .was lovely and hot loverly people make u feel welcome get ya money worth if eny think to much was full up would go there for another meal xx

Eat here and get deliveries all the time, always great service and great food

Just had a £70 order delivered. Was missing 1 item. I rang up didn’t really seemed fussed. Just said “ok”. They then called me back and offered me a refund on the item but I paid cash so wasn’t an option. After finally getting them to agree to deliver my item it took them 20 minutes for it to arrive. The food we did receive was cold so I rang them back up to cancel the extra item as the rest of the food was in the bin at this point. I didn’t get any apology just an “ok”. I also told the man who did deliver my missing item. He also just smiled and said “ok” Shocking customer service and food.

Prices much higher than it states on the website. When I called to question how much I’d been charged I was told that I had looked at the wrong website! Awful service and food not great - Korma sauce very watery. Very disappointing overall

Hour and a half late on delivery ETA. When phoning to chase get lied to that it's just leaving multiple times then eventually find out it hasn't left yet. Won't be using again

We had a meal here recently, our fourth visit. The food was excellent and the staff were gracious and welcoming. Its always a nice touch when the chef comes out at end of the evening to talk with customers, and he was charming. We are both vegetarians and found we had plenty to choose from. There was a large party of sportsmen in when we arrived, so very lively and our food took longer as a result, but the staff apologised later for this. I gather they have regular large groups of this kind, which is a good sign of regular customers. The decor is maybe not as plush as other places, but dont let this put you off. Would definitely recommend.

Ordered a takeaway for 8 people, all various dishes, Biryani, Vindaloo, Korma, Naan etc. There were no complaints from anyone! Probs one of the best currys I've eaten. Highly recommended

What a fantastic discovery! Walking to Tesco we were drawn to the Curry Inn by the mouth-watering aromas wafting across the car park. Being a Sunday, the restaurant was quiet and we had our pick of tables. The menu was very interesting and we both selected dishes we'd never heard of before - both of which turned out to be delicious. The poppadoms, various breads, rice and veg dishes we had were all freshly prepared and presented beautifully. The staff were very welcoming and efficient, adding to the whole experience. We will definitely be going back!

I visited the curry inn last night with a few of my friends, this is very normal as it is the local curry house and again they did not disappoint. Me and my friends had two young servers, a lad called Jack and the other called Seth. The service was absolutely impeccable. It was fast, cheerful and welcoming. The young lad called Jack was amazing and made me feel very very welcome, the other young lad Seth was the same very very good and even got in with the laughs and jokes, even popping a few himself. The owner Rita was amazing like always very talkative as normal. The curries were absolutely amazing props to the chefs! We got free nans and even a free pint, this is pretty much unheard of nowadays but the curry inn like to keep loyal customers happy. Infant when ever I call to get a takeaway Rita answers the phone with a lovely hello and how was your day. A lovely woman over all and infant absolutely gorgeous.

Ordered takeaway Starter, two mains,one Keema one Pershwri Starter ok nothing to write home about Tikka Marsala: gravy like water. So sweet it was hard to eat taste nothing like Tikka Mixed Biryani: souch a really strange taste rice not authentic taste veg curry ok cooked better at home. Keema naan: no meat in it naan rubbery. Peshwari naan: could find the any coconut or almond paste So I called back told a woman on the end of the phone what was wrong , she said sorry and that she would tell the chef ? I said I’ve just spent nearly £40 and that’s it, “well what do you want me to do” I said well I’ve just spent this money and can’t eat any of it, she started getting angry🤬 with me I pushed the point as I had nothing to loose. Someone spoke to her and she then said ok bring it back I make you new one. So now I thought this will prove one way ir the other, either it was just a mistake or this is the quality of the food. They replaced everything so can’t knock them for that and no argument in the restaurant. Got it home and yes you’ve guessed it it was exactly the same. The gravy was slightly thicker the keema naan did have some meat in this time. But still not able to eat any of it. We had food from here before it changed hands and it was lovely really nice hence why we returned. Never going back could have had fish and chips from next door at a 1/3rd or the price I will always praise good service and product when I receive it and give constructive criticism when it not and this unfortunately falls into the latter. Shame another lost customer. One less place in a small town to get a takeaway

Amazing way to celebrate daughters 18th birthday! Staff were so attentive- food was delicious. We were a table of 16 and everyone was left happy! My daughter loved the desert on the house and the staff and everyone in the house singing happy birthday. Thank you so much Curry Inn for making my daughters birthday a special. Twice now, I've been overcharged by £8 from here but when I questioned why it was so expensive, the reply was that they charge extra to encourage people to collect the food rather than get it delivered. Nowhere on the website does it say it's an £8 delivery charge to Heathfield!

Have been having takeaway from this curry house for about 10 years and food has always been great and we have been happy with it. However, last night our takeaway was £76, which I thought was hugely more expensive than usual and although I know there has been a cost of living rise the most we have paid in the past has been about £60. You decide if you think it is expensive we had four mains (nothing special so no tandoorimixed grill or anything), two lots of onion bahjis, three rice, a mushroom bahji, a cucumber raitha, a peshwari naan and two chapatis. That is no longer a quick Friday night curry and in fact will now be relegated to special occasions. Shame.

So disappointing. Had a takeaway - very sloppy sag paneer, very chewy/ gristly and chopped up king prawns in gravy with few veg (was a balti), bland and chewy chicken tikka massala. Used to be so good. Won’t be ordering again.

Ordered a take away ad usually eat in. Very disappointed and won’t bother again. Onion bhaji - hard and cold. Sag bhaji side - tiny portion. 2 spoonfuls in bottom of container. Mains - ok but nothing special. Will try somewhere else next time.

This Curry house has been through some changes. 4 years ago i posted this 'Good curry in Heathfield. Better than the others as of 2019. Has recently changed hands and is now not as good. Rating dropped from 4 stars to 3 stars as of Jan 2020'. However, under new management the food is now very good, thoroughly enjoyed the meal and would now return regularly. Hopefully, they will now see custom come back.

Food was amazing, very attentive staff. Just a shame it took 40 minutes from order to it being on the table. There were only a couple of other people in the restaurant. The food got cold very quickly as they sat us near the door, despite getting up and closing the door, it was soon propped open again.

Really terrible curry we had a take away and it was far below average. Would avoid here if you want an actual curry. Really bad tikka masala basically water with poor meat also didn’t get some of the order missing naan bread and bhaje.

once again a superb meal. i had booked a special event for our bridge club from eastbourne yacht club. i asked chef if i brought enough people, would he be kind enough to make an authentic biriani like we have in india. he excelled in making a huge pot of chicken and another of lamb. my friends were amazed at what they had. they had never had a curry dish like it. me on the other hand, it was just like what i have on the beaches of goa. i appreciate the amount of work involved in doing these dishes right. the evening was a huge success, and the others have said they will be driving past the restaurants in eastbourne where they live, just to eat here again. well done chef and rita! a great evening.....thank you

For many years was a visitor to this restaurant, was always great, super great! I placed an order Sunday jist gone, one person at home, ticket was 40 odd quid. Not struggling with the ticket. However….. despite my best efforts couldn’t eat it! Straight away called to express my dissatisfaction. “Sorry sir, just closing, will talk to chef and call you back” Fair enough. Well, I’ve tried now for another two days….. can not get anyone. I couldn’t eat it…. Really could not eat it. Was laced with more oil than you could imagine in. Kuwait burning oil field…. and truly tasted vile. I’m told new owners. Sad because I remember the days when it really was nice, tasty… great. PS Hate leaving poor reviews?

Upgraded my rating from 2 stars a few years ago to 4 stars now. Very good quality food. Decor is still a bit stark but much improved. Service can be a tad slow but lovely people. Like most restaurants now - atmosphere spoilt by delivery drivers in and out all the time.

Ordered a takeaway, the food was 30 mins late. The madras was very mild as was my son's curry which was supposed to be hot. There was no vegetable curry with the Biriani & no salad & mint sauce with the chicken tikka. Will not use again.

Should of gone with my gut after the first time we used them. Telephoned ordered after picking up leaflet in the afternoon when hubby went to collect £10 more when i phoned they said sorry have to go with website prices & not from leaflet !!! Decided to give it another go, pre- ordered online for collection but then changed our mind. Website states can collect from 5 but we chose 7. Couldn't work out how to cancel online so sent email some 4 hrs before opening time but didn't get acknowledgement so rang dead on 5pm & lady on phone said order was sitting waiting for us !!! Explained we had cancelled & didn't want it ! No customer service skills what so ever all about the money

Had a curry with friends in here on a Saturday evening. The Curry Inn was pretty busy - doing a lot of collections whilst also mostly full seating wise. All the food was tasty and fresh. The service was great with personality - it added to the atmosphere. It felt like there was a family run vibe. Overall the experience was really good at a mid price point.

Another fabulous takeaway tonight. The food was delicious...i wanted to lick my plate afterwards. Simply the best. Yummy 😋

We invited friends round. Paid quite a lot at 6.06pm to be delivered at 7pm. Rang with politeness after 8pm to enquire whereabouts. The person was too busy to speak with me, constantly talking with others, then cut me off. Food came at 9pm. When...

So very disappointing. I ordered our food at 7:05 and was told it would take 1 hour and 15 minutes. This is already a very long wait, but we thought it would be worth it. Unfortunately, 1 hour and 40 minutes later, the food still hadn’t arrived. When I finally got through to the restaurant, the man taking orders said that my order wasn’t in the kitchen “so it must be on its way”. No sense of urgency, no reassuring words and absolutely no sense of being apologetic in any way. I decided to put some veggie burgers in the oven after waiting for 1 hour and 50 mins. I then had to call the restaurant 5 or 6 times to cancel my order for which I had been waiting 2 hours. Once again, no apologies were offered. Really disappointed in the service but more than anything, the lack of an apology. It is quite unbelievable. It totally spoiled our Saturday night and I’m astonished at attitude of the person taking the orders. How can you run a local business in a small town like that?

We were staying near Heathfield on a big family weekend and needed to order a takeaway for 24 people. We chose The Curry Inn and we were so pleased we did. To a person, everyone agreed their food was amazing. It was one of the most delicious Indian meals I have ever eaten. It was a big order and the quality was consistent through every dish and everyone got exactly what they ordered, well labelled and with free poppadoms! I would like to thank Ruhel and the team for helping to make our weekend even more enjoyable. We will definitely be using The Curry Inn again when we’re in the area. In fact we will use The Curry Inn as an excuse to come back. Thank you!

Really lovely family restaurant! Despite having a power cut earlier in the area restaurant was open and ready for the day! Food and service was exceptionally good! We used to eat here a lot before Covid but have not been back for a while, when we returned last week Amin and Rita welcomed us back like old friends. They couldn’t do enough for us, the food was delicious and when I couldn’t make up my mind what to order they made something up for me, which tasted amazing. I haven’t been to the other Indian in Heathfield since it changed hands but would highly recommend the Curry Inn. They also have a loyalty card scheme which makes take away better value, you can get a main course free.

Ordered food online via the website which never arrived. No call or email was received with any information as to why.

Called at 5pm this evening to place an order to be delivered at 8pm. At 8.30 my wife called to ask if it was on its way, they said “6 minutes” … we explained that we have children who are very hungry and have an early start the next morning due to a trip away.. that’s why we called early and booked a delivery slot! The guy I spoke to assured me it would be delivered by 8 if not before… my wife called again at 5 to 9 only to be told it would be another 10 minutes.. she cancelled the order and the lady hung up on her.. children had some toast, and went to bed, my wife walked to Waitrose to grab an Indian meal deal for our selves… the manner in which the delay was handled was very unprofessional. Since talking to friends, many have experience similar problems. Will never use again … the Waitrose curry was delicious and under a tenner.. AVOID. ( delivery anyway )

I have come to Heathfield from E2;London, near Brick Lane. Read good reviews so dropped in with a friend on a Tuesday evening. Wasn’t disappointed.Service fantastic, lovely and friendly, food was excellent, chicken tikka masala and lamb tikka masala both lovely. Lamb was nice and tender. All the meal was served hot with warm non greasy popadoms, hot Nan bread, nice choice of relishes. A great experience. We will definitely be back.

The Curry Inn is without doubt our favourite Indian restaurant. Rita and Amin are the most friendly, generous and natural hosts and in the kitchen the chefs are virtually alchemists with their ability to blend beautiful spices in to wonderful dishes. Amongst the chefs is one who specialises in using a traditional tandoori oven. We recommend it without hesitation and eagerly look forward to our next visit.

We ordered a takeaway on Saturday from here as it had great recommendations.We ordered at 6.30 and it didn't arrive until after 9pm. Whilst I appreciate Saturdays are busy the online form said delivery would take 45 minutes and it was only after I called them an hour and a half after ordering that they said it would be late.When the food arrived it was luke warm and we were missing our onion bhajis - I phoned straight away but as it was after 9 (2 and a half hours after ordering) they were closed so no answer. I sent a Facebook message which nobody bothered replying to (having read it) and called the following day to request refund for the bhajis and ideally delivery and was told that I would have to call back on Wednesday when a manager would be in. Just called them and was told noone could help again.I am not usually one to complain but honestly how hard is it just to give me the money back for something we didn't even receive?!

Takeaways are sometimes good and sometimes not so good. Last one the order was wrong, the lamb was overcooked and dry, the King prawns were rubbery, popadoms were soft and the rice was dry. Onion bhajees were good though. It was as if most of the meal had been re-heated.... Shame.

Very very delicious and such lovely service, best curry I’ve had in a long time, definitely coming back soon!
