We had an excellent meal at this restaurant. The food was excellent, full of flavour, good quality and in plentiful quantity. The service was very good and our waiter was very attentive without being intrusive. The decor is quaint with a homely atmosphere. Not too large, but large enough. There is not a large vegetarian menu, but the chef adapted meat dishes for us by substituting paneer. The cost is reasonable for the quality. Overall a lovely dining experience.

Our order was 45 minutes late with no update until we had to call twice.

I had to reheated the food in the microwave as it was barely warm

Ordered a takeaway lamb shashlik that was super salty ( and I love salt) ; tried using ketchup to see if that would work - which helped only a little - will not be ordering that again!

We've used this restaurant many times over the years, sometimes it has been delicious. But recently, the quality, and quantity took a nosedive. We decided to give it a little distance, but tonight, fancied a curry and thought why not try it again. I am so disappointed that I wasted my money on it. Not only did it arrive cold, needing to be reheated, despite only being a couple of miles away, but the portion size was abysmal, and the food tasteless and poor quality. We ordered our usual Balti, requesting it to be on the sweeter side as it has been too spicy before. (We have done this many times, so I know how it should taste and look). Tonight though, we did not receive anything remotely similar. It was a golden yellow sauce with only 3 chunks of tough lamb in and to top it off, the container was not even half full!! Shocking! The tandoori chicken was dry and had no tandoori flavour at all. One piece was comparible to unmarinated barbecued chicken and the other tasted of salt. Barely any rice was in our pot too and the mushroom bhaji consisted of only 2 tablespoons of wilted mushroom and no sauce. For over £32 this was a complete mess and I will not be bothering with here again. Daylight robbery from an establishment that has clearly decided to take no pride in their preparation. I advise to go elsewhere if you intend to have enough food to feed two people for dinner.

Abysmal portions, missing the mango chutney I bought. Meal was cold and nearly empty containers, tasteless chicken, not the balti I ordered either, this was something else entirely. More like butter sauce. Wasted money, won't buy here again.

Haven't been here for a few years. Although the decor is the same. Things have changed. Service was ok, but the waiter couldn't even cracker a smile. Food was extremely salty, which actually wasn't very pleasant.

Great food and friendly staff. We were staying nearby for the weekend and couldn't find a taxi back to our cottage, so the boss actually gave us a lift home. Lovely people. Lovely food. We'll definitely be coming back.

Great pity, this is our local go to for Indian food esp as they deliver. Unfortunately, the quality of food is variable, sometimes over spiced and over salty for the same dishes. Also, the delivery times have increased which is fine as long as the food comes hot which is often not the case. Chinghri Juhl only with 4 prawns this time, maybe because it’s Sunday, but they are not cheap so it should be better. Will look elsewhere I think.

I have moved several times and travelled the country and this is THE BEST, food is amazing as are the staff. The tastes and quality are amazing!!!!

Fantastic meal. Very quick service, very good price, and absolutely delicious food. Portions are generous, and all freshly cooked. Very easy to find, and park. The perfect restaurant experience.

We had lunch so we didn’t expect the restaurant to be full. My husband and I were on a date lunch so it was perfect being quiet. The food was lovely … we had hot papadums and chutney with a delicious mint sauce. The chilli lamb shank and Murgh Jhul, both delicious and perfectly hot without being uncomfortable; Naan and rice was equally yummy.

Hi there, We are regular customers at the Blue Asia and love their food however last night we ordered 3 curries of different varieties all which we have had before and are usually very hot and spicy. Last night they were bland and all tasted the same! Very disappointing and out of character for the blue Asia

Best curry in Uckfield. We dropped in Sunday evening without a booking. Great service and food. Loads of parking!

We’ve just moved to the area and are delighted to find really good curries at our local Indian restaurant. Great service in house but also does take aways.

Good food but was missing part of my order. First time this has ever happened though.

I have ordered from here a few times recently, and the food the first time round was much better. Several people I know rant and rave about how amazing this place is when you eat in, the service is very good and I suspect the quality of the food is much better when you eat in the restaurant. I went for a takeaway the other night and although it came straight out by the time we got the very short distance home and plated up all the chicken was very over cooked and like rubber. I suspect it was already over cooked before it went into the takeaway boxes. The side dishes were lovely and we really enjoyed them, breads also cooked a very nicely and were tasty as well, however with chicken being the main ingredient of the curry I can only give it an average. It was unfortunately so bad my sister couldn’t eat it. I’d give it another go, because it is very reasonably priced and maybe the chef was having an off day. However our experience wasn’t great this time round.

2 of the 3 Currys we ordered were so oily that I couldn't finish either. I had to do my teeth after eating to try and get rid of the taste of oil. I would not recommend it to anyone.

The meat quality is pretty poor, we had one dish that was "breast of chicken" and it was like the slices of cooked chicken breast in a supermarket. Also hardly taste the garlic on the naan bread.

One of my favourite restaurants in the area, 25 minute walk from town centre, however its worth the walk as the staff make you feel very welcome as soon as you step in the door, nice and clean with some of the best dishes on the menu at very reasonable prices.

Wonderful food time after time. Friendly staff. If you haven't eaten here you're missing a real treat. The Blue Asia is a hidden gem.

Was recommended this place from our hotel, so decided to give it a go. From the outside and the interior it does look a bit dated but don’t let that put you off. The food was delicious. The staff was really friendly the portions are on the other small side. I would definitely come here again.

Tasty, the Saag Paneer chunks were huge and amazing. Lovely flavours and decent portion sizes.

Pools of oil in every dish. I eat a lot of Indian food but never seen so much oil. The lamb tasted odd, I gave it to the dog. On a positive note the flavours were good and the paneer cheese was the nicest I've had.

I love the food from Blue Asia, it's always hot when you get it, not luke warm from other restaurants. I have no hesitation in recommending this Restaurant to my family and friends, good quality and very good value for your money.

1st time we have had food from here. We had a takeaway delivered, it took an hour to get to us when it got to us the rice was cold the curry’s were lukewarm and half full containers and the naan breads were cold. We live on the same road as the restaurant and definitely didn’t expect it to come cold. Such a shame as we have Recently move to uckfield and it looks like such a nice place. We will be trying a different curry’s house next time.

Fantastic food as always, perfectly cooked, pipping hot on delivery, driver on time despite there being a road traffic incident on the route, free poppadoms are always a welcome treat, best Indian in the area.

We often take away from this restaurant, as it's very close to us. The food is ok. Though they often forget things, so I always have to check when picking up, that all the dished are there and that the Nan is how we ordered it. Not the best Indian, but overall it's OK a couple times a month.

At time of writing it's 20:30pm, order was placed at 18:00pm for 19:30pm delivery. Text update to say food would be delivered at 20:10pm but it hasnt. Restaurant phone line was ringing out and no one answers. Now the line is engaged so again can't contact. Awful service. Expect full refund.

Food arrived- was only slightly warm, missing a pot of rice. I did call and they sent another one but arrived 32 minutes are my call so was pointless. Delivery driver was very friendly.

Great takeaway ready on time for pick up

Went into the restaurant on the way past as I couldn't remember if I had chosen collection or delivery, after 10 minutes of being faffed around it was "out with the driver", went home and waited ages. Phoned the restaurant to be messed around for another 5 minutes and they hung up, called back to be told there was a "mistake" and it was on it's way. Restaurant phoned and said the driver wasn't back and could we collect, I said "no" as I had children to deal with, waited another 25 minutes (we live 5 minute drive from restaurant) and gave up to go and collect it. Never, ever again!

Had a lovely meal here on a quiet Sunday evening, Being a bit of a curry lover we always try and find food as good as we'd cook at home. Asked for Chicken Chilli Chat with a puree, (not on the menu), and it was no trouble at all. Tasted delicious and would recommend for anyone that likes a little kick. Had the Chicken Jaflong, ( a spicy special),for main course and again it was very flavoursome, well balanced. The service was impeccable too. Will definitely be back as it's one of the better establishments in the area for Indian cuisine. Thank you for a lovely meal.

Service slow between ordering and food coming out, nearly an hour for any food. Priority seemed to be take away and delivery customers. Food was tasty though. Boy's loved the keema naan.

Have been using the Blue Asia for a few years and have no complaints. Easy to order, food is always very tasty, with some interesting and spicy chef's specials, and meals are delivered on time. Proved to a real asset during lockdown. Relatives from London couldn't believe the value and quality.

We tried the Blue Asia for a change. We had a lamb masala and chicken korma as a takeaway. The sauces were fine but the lamb was old, dry and tough. Chicken was over cooked and dry. Both spoilt our meal as not eaten. Will not use again.

Flavours good but DRENCHED in oil. I have never had such oily food in my life. My counter tops were covered in oil after unpacking it. I used half a roll of paper towel, about 20 kitchen wipes and then still had to use a soft cloth (wiped and folded it 5 times) before the counters were cleaned of the oil which was ever single box. First time ordering there and unfortunately won’t order from there again. Good flavours can’t rule out the amount of oil. Disappointing. I don’t usually complain but that needs sorting out.

Bad food, bad service. Have tried to give blue Asia numerous chances to get it right. But it’s finally going to be our final order with them. Each time we order the food is cold... the delivery takes plus 1 hour, and trying to find out where the order is by speaking to incompetent staff is impossible. The food is hit or miss most of the time once it’s been warmed up the chicken is chewy, and the dishes are oily. The only reason we’ve used them up until now is they are one of the only places to deliver to our area. Uckfields number 1 Indian restaurant/takeaway are far nicer and far more professional. I would recommend anyone to ditch this cowboy outfit and go to alternative takeaways.

Wrong ordered delivered, late. Finally recieved correct order nearly an hour later than originally stated.

Food was lovely, but we ordered for 6:40, had a notification at 6:00 to say it had left and arrived at 7:25 stone cold, with the driver for one a day half hours. We re heated and the food was lovely but was far later than we wanted. Will order again but definitely collecting in future.

The best Indian meal in the 5+ years we have resided in Nutley, our first delivery from Blue Asia though. Do hope you guys will deliver to Ringmer in the future too. As we are moving home. And in young Saieed you have the makings of a fine young delivery expert, many thanks for your lovely food & first class service in these difficult times .

Not the best curry don’t think we would get another meal from here! The chicken pakoras were tasteless and the bread chewy! Not nice!

Feels harsh leaving this review after 2020, but to appear with our food, almost three hours after it should have been delivered - I know it's an unusual NYE, but you knew how busy it would be, no contact, no one answering the phone (off the hook?), take our money and basically leave us hungry. Incredibly poor service, to end the year on yet another disappointment. Very local but won't be using you again. Will be chasing for a refund.

Ordered at 8. 10.30 and no sign of food. Contact number has been busy for over an hour. So poor!

We have had outstanding takeaway's for the last 4 years. Tonight was unrecognisable to the food we normally receive.. I thought I may have ordered from a different restaurant... not sure what has changed...but can say unlikely to place a future order!!!
