6 of us stopped for a fish and chip lunch, costing £111, we should have kept walking.
£15.95 for a box of poorly cooked fish and chips, £2 for a tiny pot of mushy peas and 50p for a sachet of ketchup.
The food was greasy, the fish had not been prepared properly, nobody finished their meal.
The food took 15 minutes to arrive, so we had the opportunity to sit around and soak up the ambience, in a rubbish strewn picnic area whilst Katy Perry blasted out at full volume.
On a more positive note, the customer service was at least in keeping with the food and surroundings. The staff were rude, when we picked up 2 of our boxes from the counter, we were told to “wait until we I’ve finished putting them all out”.
I would eat literally anywhere before I went here again.
What a terrible mistake I made getting a takeaway from here. Was staying down the road at camber sands and ordered 2 kids meals, fish and chips. It was really poor. The mushy peas and gravy were removed from a coffee cup in the fridge and chucked in a microwave. Tasted horrific. Never again.
Went out for a family dinner there was 14 of us and what a service we had, the waiter called Leo wow what a very polite young man and nothing was to much for him getting anything we asked for.. couldn't thank him enough.
My family and I celebrated my brother in law’s, and his partner’s, birthdays following a day of chilling in the beach. We went back a couple of times. The staff are extremely friendly and worked hard to look after our big group. The food was great, big pizzas / lovely fish n chips and great selection of ice creams. Vanessa and her team really did look after us. We had a lovely time and grateful for welcoming us.
This people should be out of business and the community . never met anyone unsocial and uneducated like them in hospitality industry.
Food exactly like their mouth .
Sorrow who visited them
Very well positioned, it is a nice place to stop for a meal and to admire the views. Food is good, but is not cheap and service can be hit and miss depending on how busy they are, but overall pleasant. Toilets were clean and they do accommodate children pretty well.
The staff were brilliant, they accommodated my mum who has dementia, and went out of their way to help me. We had the afternoon tea, which was very nice and good value, we couldn't eat it all so they wrapped it up for us so we could take it home.
Thank you Bexhill staff :-)
good food and lovely staff.we have had brekfast and lunch there on different occasions and i have to say we have never had any reason to not be happy with there food
We ordered pizza. It was quite expensive but thoroughly enjoyable. Only problem we had was collecting. We got there at the time stated and our order hadn’t even been started. However my wife’s pizza was upgraded to a large which I can only assume was a way of apology from them.
Had battered sausage and chips ... battered sausage was awful ... batter was soggy and tore off ... more squelchy than crunchy. Fella behind counter seemed surly like he had had a bad day.
Not in a rush to go back to be fair. Shame used the place on and off for years. Will have to be desperate to want to go there again. Like I say shame as it was always good. Might have just been a bad day buy it was what it was on the day.
