Draft and wines always good. It's not ponsey, a traditional pub which is a rarity in this part of the world.

I had lunch here. I was not particularly impressed by the food. The service was pleasant and the place was clean.

Popped in for lunch from a hotel break just up the road. Was greeted and offered a nice table where we enjoyed a well prepared lunch, good local ale and a good selection of wines so we will be back on our travels

Highly recommended by all the locals. We have been back a few times now. A welcoming atmosphere, whether you are stopping over for a drink or eating. The food is consistently good, traditional Italian food and the wine complements the food. Desserts and coffee are very nice.

Stopped here during a stay in Ticehurst for a quick pint. Resembled someone's front room! The landlord was showing the football to what seemed like his group of friends??? Not sure this is a place to spend the evening but ok to pop in for a pint.

Oh dear... Was passing the village looking for somewhere to stop for a drink. These days grotty Kent pubs are few & far between as many have had to raise their game in order to survive. Sadly this one has not. Walked in to an almost empty bar area with a tv playing sports and a few people staring gormlessly - hardly welcoming! The place generally felt like it needed some TLC and any thoughts of staying for food were out of he window. We instead went up the road to The Bell, which was a hive of activity due to the wedding reception they were hosting. Despite this it was a superb place which I would certainly recommend visiting instead - what a shame this pub doesn’t aspire to be equally as good!

Unfriendly, hostile atmosphere. Unaccommodating to requests. Grumpy service. Under their breath comments between staff and locals - doesn't make for a pleasant visit!! Wouldn't return.

If you're looking for food then this pub is not for you, but if you're looking for a great pint of Harveys then look no further. Just be careful ordering whilst the rugby is on, Proper rugby loving LandLord who will have you lining your real ale up to last until half time...

Limited opening times and days of the week. Scruffy bar area. Visited for a "wake" food selection very poor, tea & coffee undrinkable. Rip off prices charged to the widow.

Were visiting Rye after spending a couple of days in Hastings. Found Globe Inn Marsh when searching for gluten free menus. Really varied menu and the food was absolutely delicious. Our waitress was really knowledgeable about gluten free options and was very friendly. The decor was really quirky and it was really relaxing inside. It is clearly a very popular restaurant, such a shame we live so far away!

Very disappointed with the food and the service. Worst moules marinieres I ever had with no cream garlic sauce either. We wanted to buy a bottle of wine and were told that it was not possible and that the wine had to be bought in a carafe! Never heard his before!? Service was really bad, they really need to train the staff. The bill was £150 for 2 really not worth it. Will not visit again sadly.
