1066 Bakery Cafe Kitchen in Rother

Myself and my son had lunch , I had a coffee which lacked coffee! not nice and expensive! Sandwiches were good but also expensive , they definitely need to change the coffee it's wishy washy and lacking in body and taste.

Although the sandwiches and rolls etc are very tasty,the coffee isn't the best,which is such a shame as it really lets the business down. Four of us went for coffee and a light snack,we all thought the cappuccino was lacking in coffee content and very weak in flavour. Interestingly enough I mentioned this to a colleague that works at the conquest hospital and she said it's exactly the same in the 1066 cafe there. Think in future we'll stick with Costa.

My mum and I recently visited The 1066 Bakery Café Kitchen. Feeling swayed by the good reviews left by other visitors. The saying ‘each to their own’ comes to mind. Upon walking into The 1066.. there was something a bit lacking. My mum had a Cappuccino and for myself, an Americano. Once the coffees were served we both looked at each other. The cups were huge, which typically in our opinion, isn’t always a good sign. A few sips down and my mum stated that hers was “un-drinkable” and “tasted like nothing”. In all fairness my brown dish-water Americano tasted exactly the same- like nothing. Rarely does this happen, but we spoke with our feet and left within 10 minutes of entering to find another café that was worth going to and most importantly, one that we enjoyed. Each to their own. However, The 1066 Bakery Café Kitchen was definitely not our cup of tea..or brown dish-water if you’re opting for an Americano.

Tonight: Bexhill Festivities centred outside the Post Office; lots of bodies milling around until 19:00hrs, tried to get a coffee etc at 16:50, SORRY - CLOSING. Some firms just don't deserve to be in business.

1066, your coffee is so weak and lacking flavour. A flat white is supposed to be on the stronger side however yours is so weak and disappointing. I occasionally come in hoping that your coffee has improved but l kick myself for giving you one more try. again. Grrr!

Devonshire Square café Radio was so loud that I had to raise my voice to be heard. Staff stated they had complained to management several times about it on behalf of customers, but ignored. Menu board flashing constantly making reading it almost impossible. Oat milk has an extortionate supplementary charge while ecologically disastrous soya is free, thereby actively promoting the destruction of the Amazon! Staff clearly not particularly happy. Highly recommend to avoid! Especially as there are loads of terrific alternatives where oat milk is not charged for.

Thought this would be a good place for lunch, dissapointing though. So called "Toasties" with really thick dry bread and very little filling. Won't go there again. Coffee was passable. Staff friendly.

I have a caramel latte and an iced Danish The atmoshere is positive and the decor attractive I'm talking about Bigger 1066,there's 2 in Bexhill The staff are very good,friendly just right.

Delicious coffee, very friendly and welcoming. New to the area for work but think this will be my new go to place from now on.

Stopped on a busy Saturday lunchtime for coffee and hot chocolate. The drinks were good and though we didn’t eat anything, the food and cakes looked good. The staff were friendly and helpful. Will return!

One of a few 1066s it has 2 in Devonshire Road(why?) Nicely decorated the hot chocolate is just the correct temperature as is the cappuccino Staff are well trained Food offer looks very average,have not tried any and do not intend to,thank you very much
