Food good but quite expensive considering it is only a supermarket cafe. Extremely noisy when moving chairs. Please put pads on the bottom of the legs. Simple remedy and will cut the noise when moving chairs.

Great Food nice portion sizes and small queue, polite service, Just a little expensive for what it was, it was more of a cafe than a restaurant

Thought I might have a bite to eat but the prices are extravagant considering it is just a cafe in a supermarket. A slice of cake can be nearly £4 . The starf are lovely . However every thing else in not . For instance the noise when anyone moves a chair in deafening as it scrapes along the floor. Put soft pads on the bottom of each leg - simple remedy!

My husband had a ham and cheese toastie, very big (he was happy) and I had jacket potato with cheese. Both meals came with coleslaw and salad. The staff are always smilie and friendly and the service is great. We love the place, always have a wander round after lunch or tea n cake to pick up what we need.

Visited during breakfast hours. Different menu and prices from online so be prepared. Full English was good and they will cook eggs the way you like them. Fried egg was very lightly cooked only. Poached was good though. The veggie breakfast is an odd selection of foods. Spinach and courgette is not everyone's first choice so read the ingredients carefully. Tomato also very lightly cooked so coupled with a cold plate can be off putting. Back to meat for one of us after this. Will return to try lunch but probably will not have breakfast again.

Locally on holiday for shopping, they have everything and more. Top of the range food and local; although would describe this as a 'foodie' establishment there was basic foodstuffs as well. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Jempson's have been running a free lunch voucher if you spend over £40 in store. We had 2 vouchers and these were accepted without hesitation. I assume that the restaurant was busy because of the offer and there was about a 20 minute wait for the food to be served. The portions were very generous and the food well cooked and presented. The vouchers were valid between 1pm and 5pm and have an expiry date. The lunches are all £8 and without the voucher this is a good price.

We were a group of 7, one of whom was in a wheelchair so needed an accessible restaurant for our morning coffee. The access was good and we found enough chairs but that's all I can say that's positive. For the teas and coffees, there is a "make your own machine" but when making 7 hot drinks this wasn't very easy. It would have been so much nicer if someone would make the drink and bring it to the table. I think DIY is suitable in some locations but we didn't think it was a very nice experience at this coffee shop.

The dining area needed a good clean. Absolutely filthy floor, tables covered in spilt condiments some tables adorned with food (baked beans) and the service was slow. If the restaurant was busy this still would have been unacceptable but the place was virtually empty. A real shame because I was expecting more from Jempson’s for some reason.

Had to wait nearly an hour for one scrambled eggs on toast and ‘one’ not two ‘one’ poached egg pretty terrible really. Microwaved scrambled eggs, all spongy and dry. Being a chef myself and waiting nearly and hour for a very over cooked poached egg and dry scrambled eggs with no seasoning is a joke. And to top it all of I even got burnt toast. Well done chef. Also the woman throwing the food in the all you can eat breakfast was funny to watch.

Visited on saturday for all you can eat breakfast. What a mistake! It was all dried up and looked like it had been there for hours. The coffee is out of a machine and was warm. Definitely room for improvement!

Visited the cafe today to try their all day breakfast and the whole experience was terrible. Ordered two breakfasts that arrived after 20 & 40 minutes after they forgot one. Scrambled eggs were served in a pool of water on a chipped plate. The chips were dried and crunchy, the eggs bland, the sausages were over cooked and the place is filthy.

This cafe is friendly and handy for coffee and lunch while shopping ,.however the coffee and tea comes from a machine and the temperature is not that hot so you have to drink it quickly. Room for improvement. The cakes appear to be rather expensive.

I have visited Jempsons many times and have always been very satisfied with the service and quality of food. We were with a large group of elderly people on our way back from a trip to Eastbourne and wanted to stop for a short break for a snack and coffee etc. Out of the blue I contacted Jempsons the day before and asked if they could accommodate our group. They were happy to do so and had set aside a space for us. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the group were thankful for a short stop. It was also great to be able to do a bit of shopping there too. Thank you to the team in the cafe and I will continue to shop there when I can.

Its a café, nothing special, just convenient to take a break and have a bite and a drink. Coffee is from a machine and very average, food was reasonable quality but service was a little slow although friendly enough.

Coffee was real coffee but from a machine where you press a button, so not exceptional quality but ok. Cakes all seemed to be prewrapped and a bit cluttered and uninspiring. The girl serving was pleasant It was quite nice to sit outside

As a family we have used Jempsons at peasmarsh for years. We used to love doing our holiday shopping in there on our way to our caravan at Winchelsea. This was before the superstore was built and when the cafe was in the little cottage. You couldn't fault either.

The staff are so rude I was standing there waiting for my drink today and the lady behind the counter was moaning about living here and saying the water and the food are terrible. Quite loudly - how rude. If she doesn’t want to live and work I t his country perhaps she could give the job to my son who lives locally and would like a job. Disgusting behaviour Costa!!!!!

Were visiting Rye after spending a couple of days in Hastings. Found Globe Inn Marsh when searching for gluten free menus. Really varied menu and the food was absolutely delicious. Our waitress was really knowledgeable about gluten free options and was very friendly. The decor was really quirky and it was really relaxing inside. It is clearly a very popular restaurant, such a shame we live so far away!

Impolite staff. Refused us to charge our phone. So we couldn’t use our e-card payment method.

Very disappointed with the food and the service. Worst moules marinieres I ever had with no cream garlic sauce either. We wanted to buy a bottle of wine and were told that it was not possible and that the wine had to be bought in a carafe! Never heard his before!? Service was really bad, they really need to train the staff. The bill was £150 for 2 really not worth it. Will not visit again sadly.
