Very well positioned, it is a nice place to stop for a meal and to admire the views. Food is good, but is not cheap and service can be hit and miss depending on how busy they are, but overall pleasant. Toilets were clean and they do accommodate children pretty well.

we managed to catch the last event off summer last year so we were excited when they finally started this year! A lovely afternoon full off music with a David Bowie tribute, I even got up and had a little dance. Drink reasonably priced... staff very friendly and polite making conversation even though they looked very rushed, while I was waiting in line collecting my drinks. The only downfall is that the music is only 1 hour now instead off 2. Can't wait for next Sunday

I was pleasantly surprised when we visited this morning for breakfast, to find that the Colonnade had been completely refurbished (following the pandemic). I liked the turquoise and grey colour scheme and the facilities appeared to be very clean. A waitress was cleaning our table as we approached. I wanted to review the very colourful and well presented breakfast I had. I chose the smashed avocado and beetroot hummus with two poached eggs on sourdough toast. When it arrived it looked too good to eat. The seasoning was just right and the yolks on the eggs were the richest yellow I had ever seen. I complimented the two chefs who happened to be front of house and they thanked me saying this was their most popular dish. They said they rarely had any compliments passed on to them by the front of house, so I was happy to make their day.

I have been to the collenade on many occasions and I must say the bar service is one of the worst I have experienced.As soon as there is any music event the queue to get a drink flows out of the door as there is only one till being used,so you pay and then wait for your drink to be poured.I don’t think 20 minutes is acceptable to wait for a drink.Please get your act together and make this venue a place that everybody wants to come to as it is a very nice setting and not a place that everybody moans about the service.

I have came in here a few times in the past couple off month, however today has unfortunately made me not want to come again. First off all it took a while for anyone to acknowledge me to be served as staff seemed to be having there own conversation and on there phone. I give credit to the young lad who seemed to be taking aggressive orders from one off the girls, he was out cleaning tables and actually doing his job my 3 stars go to him and the cake ! The girls at bar was Extremely rude. No chat and not welcoming. Coffee and cake are good so I will give them that. I really hope good customer service gets taught. Not all my visits have been like this. Shame really as such a lovely venue.

I haven’t been here for a few months due to the pandemic. However i returned as it was my favourite spot for a morning coffee as the views are lovely and is dog friendly. I can see that they have had all new staff since not the same friendly girls and boy that used to greet me and used to go out there way to have a conversation with me. Now I don’t even get a smile. Young girl who served me was very rude and quite frankly looked like she didn’t want to be there. The atmosphere isn’t the same and Coffee not as nice as it used to be either. Will not be coming back.

We stopped here for a coffee. This is a pleasant sea front location, and is a good place to sit and watch the world go by. However, when I went to order the coffees, the girl who served me was a bit snappish. Coffee was nice, but I’m not sure I’d rush back to this location due to the service.

Good old Macca Ds clean hand sanitiser, they know there stuff ..food freshly cooked and we felt safe eating in here re the Covid

Good service, very quick, coffee could have been a little warmer, but it was really nice and creamy. Liked the milk alternatives. Cakes still looked a bit processed, I wish they would make them themselves, but it saves me a few calories. Breakfast options are really good.

I like to stop here when I’m out for a walk with the dogs as it’s dog friendly. They do nice coffee with milk alternatives, a good selection of cakes but they are all a bit processed looking still. One day I hope they start making them, themselves. Breakfast options on the other hand are lovely.

We popped in for some hot chocolates en route to our beach walk. Young girl serving looked like she’d rather be somewhere else and it took 15 minutes for three hot chocolates. It wasn’t busy in there. Asked if we wanted a slice of cake under a cake protector by the till. We said yes, and paid for it. When the hot chocolates were given to us,I asked where the cake was and she said it had already been taken to a customer at a table!! Confused! I asked for my money back and we left. We decided to give the place another go the next day, and we decided to sit down this time. It wasn’t that busy, and they had food from previous customers stacked on a spare table. My boyfriend ordered a toastie which took 20 minutes!!!! I went to the till and they said that they had too many orders. Staff quite rude about it too. Bought over a piece of cake today sorry, but again young girl looked like she just didn’t want to be there. Not a nice vibe in there. A young lad clearing tables was nice, but he’s the star in this shambles. Won’t be going back. Such a shame. They could make this place amazing.

1st visit on 22st October and again 22nd of November. Really impressed on both visits. Food was very well presented, great flavours and a very good menu to chose from! Service was excellent and terrific value for money.

Popped in on our dog walk, nice coffee, and a warm friendly service. A bit more pricey than other places, but it’s very nice and they have alternatives to milk.

The food in this place was so so so so good! We later learned the chef is called Daniel and I just feel I need to mention his name here because it was truly fantastic food. The whole staff were super kind and helpful as well, the place itself is awesome as you can have a nice meal literally just by the sea. Everything was perfect, it was the highlight of our day. Also great value for money.

Didn't have a meal there, just had coffee and cake. Didn't get the cake I ordered as it had sold out, but the substitute was delicious and I wasn't charged which was a bonus. Coffee was fine. View was lovely, nice to sit and watch the world go by.

The visit was fine until 5.30 PM staff started to remove the outside tables although not closing till 7 PM. No where to sit outside in the sun and the reason given for removing tables was 'there is only two of us and we want to clear the tables early' they refused to replace a table on the sundial but said I could remain there whilst the other people, already there, remained. Definitely not customer focused and the place looked as if it was closed ( or closing) from 5.30pm. Really sad to see this as wanting to promote this venture in bexhill

Popped down with friends to listen to some local music only one till to order food and drink long wait started with table service which was ok ordered food very limited menu.Burger turned up bun was black burger was so dry and tasteless sent it back comments back was chef said nothing wrong chips had been refried very crunchy.then we ended up with plastic glasses.Would not go there again

Really good brekkie at this place and nice to be inside when the rain lashed down and still have a lively View! Good full English for one and one avocado toast for the other... Go try it, very nice indeed. (I do agree with another reviewer though - not overly keen on the metal tray/plates it's all served upon - not my thing)

Service is good, prices not too bad, you do have to have wine decanted into a plastic jug if you are outside when music is playing. Not a major issue but it doesn’t keep as cool.

After sitting at a table and choosing our food I went to the counter to order,I was ignored for a while by all the members of staff at the counter then when I was eventually served I was told the kitchen was closed because they were doing interviews.I hope the new employees are given training in customer service.

Lovely food but the brekkie served on an aluminium tray was an epic fail. We were eating outside so food went cold very quickly. I would return if I could have it served on a hot China plate. I felt as if I was eating a prison meal

Lovely place sit and chat with friends. Not our first visit. Girl who served was really pleasant at the till but disappointingly rude when waiting on our table. She asked us to clear up our rubbish along with clearing the plates when we had not finished. We then felt we had to go. 5 mummies with babies and children we will make mess!!. Being adults we dont need to be told to clear it up, as we had cleared up moat of the mess already!!!

Nice to sit and watch the world go by. Service by the girls was great, food was ok not exceptional but nice enough. Coffee was good, love the fact they have milk alternatives. Dog friendly.

Splendid location, great waitress, she was busy but kept everything going with a smile. Good quality breakfast in the sun with a view of the sea.

Those who suggest there aren't enough eateries/coffee houses in Bexhill may well be right. This one overlooks the sea front / Promenade. Given that in others cafes most tables were occupied by 1 person we ended up here and placed an order for 2 hot chocolates. Given the price I had expected something really special - not cold! It should be a gem should this, but if you are going - don't bother with the hot chocolate, try something else. Im unlikely to try this particular place again and so far as I know dogs have to remain outside.

Myself and my wife with her parents visited here over Easter. It was very busy with all the tables taken outside. We sat inside in a very spacious booth that was clean as was the rest of the restaurant even know it was busy as I said.

We have visited this venue several times, but only for coffee and sometimes cake.

Sunday morning stroll along the front rewarded by a pit stop and this great, newly opened, well run and very friendly restaurant. Spacious and comfortable, inside or out, a perfectly served cup of tea with a lovely sausage brioche roll ! Well worth a stop and we’ll be back to try lunch from the short but good looking menu.

Freezing cold walk along the beautiful Bexhill seafront with family and 2 well behaved dogs. Was about to head into town for a coffee when we spotted this beautifully placed historical sea front Colonnade. They are dog friendly. Yay! Having only been opened 2 weeks the decor is new and fresh with coastal colours, comfy retro seating and a very warm welcome. There were 2 vegans in our group and we were well catered for in both the cakes and savoury sections. We had a lovely coffee some scones, tea cakes and a falafel wrap. Just lovely. Quality food and service will ensure that this happy group will return. The Colonnade we predict will be buzzing come summer. Keep up the good work guys. You’re doing a jolly good job!
