Food average not all home made some frozen food like roasted potatoes meat not cooked on premises taste like its been in a bag and heated in water but just ok wouldn't recommend

Had a lovely family meal, service was great, nice friendly bar staff. Catered to all our needs . Food was absolutely lovely and great value for money.

Came for an evening meal with a large group of friends and have to say we wasn’t disappointed. Everyone received their food around the same time, portion sizes were great and the food was great especially for the price they were charging. Staff were very friendly and attentive will definitely be returning.

Jim and his team are brilliant - welcoming, professional and friendly. The place is clean and inviting with a cosy atmosphere. Food and drinks are great value for money. We love going to our ‘local’ for quiz nights, dinner as a family and drinks with neighbours. Karaoke at Christmas not normally my thing but we loved singing along! Well done team Rose and Crown!!

This place is always consistent. It’s a Greene king menu with plenty of variety. We are a family of four, all ordered just mains, it was great value for money and delicious. The service I could not fault. Thanks guys, see you when we visit Bexhill again.

Slow service and wrong order to table

Unbelievable, had main meal which was very nice then @ 8.40 went up to buy desserts for all 7 of us to be told kitchen shut,never been to a place before that doesn't expect you to have a dessert after your meal , when looking at opening times on line it says kitchen shuts at 9pm , should have been told it was shutting at 8.30 when we order our main meals , very disappointed

Excellent service and attentive staff, food served exceptionally quick and the best steak eaten in a long time no gristle or fat at all and cooked exactly as requested, brilliant value for the price along with the other three meals ordered, also the beer was A1 and we will return. A credit to the landlord and staff.

All round a good experience certainly go again if in the area.

We booked the Festive Feast for 16 people one week before Christmas. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The welcome and the service was exemplary, the food was brought to the table in good time and we didn't feel at all rushed. We will certainly do this again in the future.

We took several of our residents to the Rose and Crown for a Christmas dinner. There were 17 in our party. We could not have been happier with the experience that we all had. The food was all hot, presented well and tasted lovely. The staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout. The restaurant was very Christmassy and had a lovely feel. I would definitely recommend the Rose and Crown to all :) We will surely be returning. The restaurant is wheelchair friendly, with a ramp at the front of the building, there is a disabled toilet, and access to the rear garden. There is plenty of room to manoeuvre wheelchairs and to store wheelchairs if required.

A very welcoming venue, great food and impeccable service. Fantastic options on the menu which made it easier with the little ones. They also had the football on which was a bonus for me and the boy. Appears to be a garden out the back which would be awesome in the summer, definitely a venue to explore once again.

Went into the pub after a few drinks and a bit of food with family, when we arrived it was jam packed and full of people, the staff were rushing around accommodating to everyone as best they could. Fortunately, they managed to find us a table for us to enjoy our meal without being rushed to get off the table. 10/10 would recommend visiting for a lovely meal in a bustling, family pub.

Myself and my work colleagues all went here for our Christmas works do and we all had a brilliant time! We had a mixture of the festive menu and their normal menu and both menus and the food was impeccable and very tasty! Would highly recommend a visit to this lovely establishment. The staff were friendly, excellent management and the chef was brilliant and took pride in his work! Great atmosphere and we will definitely be back again

One of my favorite places to visit for food and drinks. Meals are always great, and they're really good value for money. Drinks are reasonably priced. Staff are all really friendly and helpful, and the landlord is lovely. Always a nice, relaxing atmosphere. Dog friendly too!

Good place. Good food great staff only downsize was a rowdy group of young men which didn't care about other people sitting around enjoying their meals.

Took some time to get here due to lack of a car, but food was great came out quick, nice birds working on the day.

Lovely pub with nice garden, kids and dogs welcome. Food was really good considering the prices. We will be returning when next in the area.

You don't expect cordon bleu fare at the prices they charge but you do expect to be served what it says on the menu. Two of our party ordered vegan flatbreads and were brought a mixture of vegetables on a naan bread. We were also asked, but refused, to move tables during our meal as we were told we had been seated at the wrong table. I think that says it all.

Haven't been to this pub for a few years and changed brand since was last here but we decided to see what it was like and I'm glad we did. Staff were great and although only saw one waiter she never stopped. I had the mixed grill skillet, my partner had the hunter chicken skillet and both very impressed with the taste and quantity. Not excessive, just right. And was also pleased how quick it arrived. Definitely no complaints about the food. Or how attentive the waiter was. Followed by the biscoff cheesecake and one of her favourites apple pie and custard which did look amazing. So all in all we had a great evening and looking at the menu, and the offers, we will soon be going back. If you are a family visiting the area I'd highly recommend it. Family friendly. And looking at the menu probably be cheaper than well known burger chains. And

Very nice, comfortable, wheelchair or walkers no problem, food was great ( we had 9 meals ranging from Gammon, steak, chicken, slow cooked beef which was top class...) Drinks and food served quickly no fuss.... Thank you!! We will be back

A nice restaurant and bar. There's a range of tables in the restaurant and quite a good beer garden for when the weather is nicer. Usual range of food and drinks as expected from Greene King. Staff were friendly and the service was quick. A few parking spots out the front.

I ordered my food and was informed it was very busy so it would be about 40 minutes, which I had no issue with. When the food arrived we were pleasantly surprised it had only taken 20 minutes. My wife’s was very tasty and she full enjoyed her meal. Sadly my food was cold, I told the waitress and she took it back to the kitchen when she returned it was over done and still cold. The young waitress stated they had put it under the grill to warm it up, so I asked to speak to the Manager. Then the Manager came over and said she had asked her colleague to put it under the grill to warm it up. I was not pleased the Manager did say she would remake my dinner but I was passed it at that point, and let’s be honest I had gone out with my wife to have dinner together. The Manager did say we could have a free pudding but I did not stay long enough to take up the offer. It is very unusual to have a bad meal there, so I will try again at a later date.

Cracking ribeye steak cooked beautifully as was my wife's Gammon and Sons Burger. The pub was clean the staff friendly. There was sky sports on showing the football but this wasn't invasive. We found it by fooling Marstons pubs near Bexhill-on-Sea as we were on holiday. The place had a friendly atmosphere for the passing traveller. I would go again if ever we pass that way again. Took my other half for a birthday meal treat on Friday night with some friends. Great atmosphere with a DJ and karaoke, food good value as always, servers really polite and helpful. Food came out hot and fast. Definitely recommend this little golden nugget in Bexhill. Little ones menus available good selection all round. We'll done to all, it was a fabulous night. Thank you

Brilliant choice of meals on the menu and very tasty too. The atmosphere on a Friday night with the karaoke on was very entertaining and a good laugh will definitely be coming again very soon. Well done to all the staff there!!! Top marks

Came up for a Fri night karaoke, not been here for a while. Great night, barstaff were lovely, woukd feel comfy coming on my own as a single female. Great atmosphere.

This was an excellent Greene King pub, with reasonable food prices and all the food was of an excellent quality served well and very tasty, the only thing that makes it a 4 star instead of 5 stars is the price of the drinks. But it's a solid 4 stars from me.

Would 100% recommend. We eat here weekly with the family and have never been disappointed. Good food, clean and well presented and friendly atmosphere. If they can keep my tribe happy then I’m more than impressed!

Great food and great customer service, we did have an issue with something being missed of our order but it was resolved immediately and staff very apologetic, we would definitely be going back as there’s a great atmosphere, lovely beer garden and staff very friendly

Always have excellent meals in here. Never had to send anything back for being cold or wrong. All the staff are kind and helpful. As a family we come at least once a week. As a family we go often enough that the staff that take the orders know what I have and the one of the waiters knows my extras when my meal is brought out too. 100% recommend. Well done all x

We eat at least twice a week here we are always made to feel welcome by all the staff. The food is always cooked to our liking even 3 teenage girls

My favourite place to eat!! The staff are lovely and the food is unreal. I’ve never personally had a problem with anything but if a problem occurs it is solved immediately. Me and my family eat here 24/7. It’s hands down the best place, not a bad word to say!!

Great meal greatly improved from over a yr ago assume new chef and management. Surprisingly fantastic . Had family over grandchildren etc. Will be booking again soon for my wife and I. Manager sorted out a nice table ..impressed. 4adults 2 children.

This Family friendly pub is great for a night out, weather it's with friends or family, I have never had a bad meal, staff are very friendly and welcoming, very accommodating when it comes to special diet requitements. they even host Karaoke every Friday evening and even occasional host some live music.

I don't drink but the food was good so was the service. Slightly biased as my granddaughter works there.

Went as a four and had previously booked a table. They couldn’t find our booking but got us a table (as their was space). The scampi and gammon were good however the chicken selection meal was very disappointing. The onion rings were not cooked and the smoky pulled chicken was incredibly spicy and to spicy for our table. This is more annoying as it was described as smoky and I was quite excited.

Had a pleasant meal here, table of ten. Ordered separately at the bar so food came intermittently, so not a surprise. Though they didn't quite get the right plates to the right people - don't know if numbers on receipts to make sure this happens correctly. Just brought plated round, and ask if it's yours. Helps if we know what we ordered too. Staff were pleasant though, and helpful. Had menus for gluten free and help for allergy advice. The weather was good so it was nice to be able to sit in a garden after eating. Food is of a typical chain pub, good value, cooked right and certainly good eating, and good value. Will come again.

Pretty standard pub offering, reasonably priced, we were a large booking and the staff were great. It's a shame the general vibe/atmosphere of the pub is determined by the regulars/locals

Service was good and staff pleasant. Food was very bland and very little meat in the lasagne. Chef was constantly coming out of kitchen and going to a table opposite and kissing the woman sitting there. Very unprofessional and unhygienic.

Food was what you expect, nothing special but does the job. Staff were friendly and attentive despite it being a particularly busy evening. Price is where they win, though, as me and my partner both ate and had a drink for under £50.
