Great family atmosphere, staff cant do enough for you and food was really good value for money.

Had a very nice impromptu dinner here last week. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Service was quick and the food was all good quality. Will definitely be returning

Went for food this Tuesday arrived at 4pm only to be told the chef didn't start until 5pm.

Lunch Tuesday 22 October 2024 Sirloin Steak at £14.49 was inedible, just a plate of gristle. The waitress said "yes sometimes they are like that" Should have been marketed as The Gristle Special!

Had a lovely meal here while staying in Hastings for the weekend. The mixed grill was lovely (very filling). The atmosphere was great but the noise level did go up a notch when the karaoke started 😆. But still not too over powering (the singing was a bit questionable though 😆😆). I would recommend the Rose and Crown and I would come back again 😁👍

Was disappointed that we ordered a steak with a salad and it came with chips, when we queried it thar waitress said that was what was ordered so basically tough..... very bad customer service, I thought... also the steak that was ordered as med rare and was definitely more like well done......would definitely think hard about going back there.....

Had a wonderful family meal, our server called Charlie was absolutely delightful and kept checking in with us to make sure everything was all alright! Food was delicious so many options. And music was nice touch to the atmosphere.

Had amazing service by Erica today, really stood out and made the atmosphere really nice. Food was up to standard but main thing which stood out was the service given.

Food was good and reasonable. Had the "chick-n-mix" meal. And id reccomend this. . Great idea to get here for a Sunday roast with family or watch football with friends

Peroni was fantastic, I had a wonderful meal wife my family, the staff were outstanding and very helpful, in particular James and Charlie, food and drink served with a smile 😃

I popped in with a friend for some lunch, nice atmosphere, good quality food and served by a lovely gentleman named Paul, who had a super sense of humour and is clearly well experienced! We will be back

Very nice, comfortable, wheelchair or walkers no problem, food was great ( we had 9 meals ranging from Gammon, steak, chicken, slow cooked beef which was top class...) Came here for a quick bit to eat and was served my Charlie. She greeted us with a big smile and made us all feel at home. 10 out of 10 service from her. Would highly recommend

Always a pleasure coming here for food, food is generally served pretty quick, staff are always friendly and helpful.

I recently revisited the Rose and Crown after my last visit and I have to say how happy I was not to have to be greeted with someone’s awful rendition of sitting on the dock on the bay by Otis Redding. The bar staff were prompt and responsive, especially Charley who was alert and quick to serve. The food we ordered also arrived complete to order and this seems to be fast becoming a novelty. 5 stars.

Regular quiz attendee, always have a meal beforehand. Prices very reasonable and Anna (who usually conducts the quiz as well as pouring a most professional pint!) is entertaining, funny and welcoming. What more could we want, really? Recommended. There's a photo of the remnants of a Choc Trio Bar. You can draw your own conclusions about how tasty it was.

Always a warm welcome and a great atmosphere. Good food and drink that is great value for money. The charity quiz on a Thursday night is brilliant fun and Anna who hosts always makes it a great evening out

Visited twice on our holiday and hands down the BEST Ribeye I've had in years and it's the only thing I order when out for dinner. Fantastic staff too!

I visited The rose and Crown for lunch with a friend and we were not disappointed. The restaurant area was clean and tidy with a good selection of meals on the menu to choose from. I went for the Hunters chicken. The waitress was friendly who even came over to check if we were happy with everything. Wouldn't hesitate to visit again!

Wouldn't go back for the food. I had fish n chips. Fish batter was very dark brown which I took straight off. Looked and Smelt like the oil in fryer needs a good clean. Was never asked if our food was ok and could clearly see that food had been left on the plates.

Best steak in Bexhill! Not overcrowded, not overpowering music, friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. Pet friendly.

It’s ok , pub grub , had sirloin steak but was served on bed of onions which took away the taste of steak , which wasn’t the best. Tables very sticky

This is our second time back here! We always visit when we are nearby. Service is always efficient and food is always good. Will be back.

What a great pub and the staff were so welcoming. Everyone enjoyed the food and said we will certainly come back here again.

12 of us booked for my sons 21st birthday and can not fault the place. They were happy with me bringing in balloons, banners and a cake. Was very busy and a few things weren't available but we were always made to feel welcome and nothing was to much for the staff.

This is local to us. Popped up for a Sunday dinner but they were sold out. Had Lasagne instead, which was not great 😕

Visited for a cut price sirloin and boy i should have known what to expect. Extremely chewy, quite a bit of fat. Brought it home for the dog who enjoyed it! Was asked how my food was and said steak was very chewy and fatty, but the reaction was sort of oh well! Service, well the bar staff had to finish their conversation before one turned to serve me, ok so only a matter of 10 seconds but its the impression it leave you with! Would rather have paid more for better quality. Wont be going back unless desperate! Compared to The Star at Pevensey, The Star is miles ahead and brilliant quality food, compared to this place!

Didn't go for food this time, but went for food here back in 2019 & it was amazing. Been meaning to go back since but due to health hasn't happened. Brilliant venue, disabled friendly. Great atmosphere especially on a karaoke night, to the point you might have to stand as it so full.

Staff here are the nicest staff I’ve encountered. They are very polite, but one, he’s not so friendly. The 2 downsides is no heating and no kettle! (You can ask for one and if remembered they will send one up). We came In march, so it’s cold and in need of heating. My disabled mum had to be moved from level 2 to 1 to have heating. But i being on level 2 had none the whole duration of my stay . They promised for it to be looked at and gave me a blow heater for the time being but it never got sorted. Bar prices weren’t too bad and there’s plenty of space to sit. Also rooms are ok could do with an update but I was satisfied especially the bed it was comfy. The parking is extremely expensive 48€ per day. But we found one which was around an 8 minute walk way from the hotel for 112€ for the week

Not a bad little pub. Part or a big chain, so the menu is familiar with lots to choose from and all at great prices. We were hoping to play darts after out meal, but the dartboard is placed right in front of a large TV which would have disrupted those watching.

We have not been to this Restaurant/Pub for about 6 years. But been to their sister pub called the Rodmill in Eastbourne and compared from there to here. I would 100% Highly recommend The Rose and Crown in Bexhill, The Atmosphere is Brillant, and Funny. Josh and James behind the Bar, They both Funny and helpful and have a laugh. Instead of the Rodmill being Sad and miserable.

Food average not all home made some frozen food like roasted potatoes meat not cooked on premises taste like its been in a bag and heated in water but just ok wouldn't recommend

Jim and his team are brilliant - welcoming, professional and friendly. The place is clean and inviting with a cosy atmosphere. Food and drinks are great value for money. We love going to our ‘local’ for quiz nights, dinner as a family and drinks with neighbours. Karaoke at Christmas not normally my thing but we loved singing along! Well done team Rose and Crown!!

Came for an evening meal with a large group of friends and have to say we wasn’t disappointed. Everyone received their food around the same time, portion sizes were great and the food was great especially for the price they were charging. Staff were very friendly and attentive will definitely be returning.

This place is always consistent. It’s a Greene king menu with plenty of variety. We are a family of four, all ordered just mains, it was great value for money and delicious. The service I could not fault. Thanks guys, see you when we visit Bexhill again.

Unbelievable, had main meal which was very nice then @ 8.40 went up to buy desserts for all 7 of us to be told kitchen shut,never been to a place before that doesn't expect you to have a dessert after your meal , when looking at opening times on line it says kitchen shuts at 9pm , should have been told it was shutting at 8.30 when we order our main meals , very disappointed

Excellent service and attentive staff, food served exceptionally quick and the best steak eaten in a long time no gristle or fat at all and cooked exactly as requested, brilliant value for the price along with the other three meals ordered, also the beer was A1 and we will return. A credit to the landlord and staff.

All round a good experience certainly go again if in the area.

We booked the Festive Feast for 16 people one week before Christmas. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The welcome and the service was exemplary, the food was brought to the table in good time and we didn't feel at all rushed. We will certainly do this again in the future.

The restaurant is wheelchair friendly, with a ramp at the front of the building, there is a disabled toilet, and access to the rear garden. There is plenty of room to manoeuvre wheelchairs and to store wheelchairs if required.
