I would of gave it 5 stars but a human looking sasquatch put his filthy fingers all over my food. Didn't eat it

I’m truly disheartened by my recent takeaway experience with Chaiiwala in Middlesbrough. I ordered three parathas and chole channa, but unfortunately, the quality was well below acceptable standards. The parathas were completely burnt—charred and drenched in excess ghee, making them unfit to eat. It was shocking to encounter such poor preparation, especially from a place I’ve frequented regularly. Regarding the chole channa, even after reheating, they remained cold and mushy, lacking both texture and flavour. In the past, whenever I’ve ordered biryani, it’s been rich in authentic flavour and well-prepared, making this experience feel like a total letdown. Regrettably, I had to discard everything—it was that appalling. Waste of Money. To the kitchen staff and management: would you genuinely serve burnt parathas and cold, soggy channa to your own family? This issue goes beyond taste—it’s about basic food hygiene, which was evidently missing. I sincerely hope the restaurant takes this feedback to heart. I would love to see Chaiiwala restore the quality that once made it a favourite.

We came from out of town for a comedy night and wasn't sure where to eat. We came across dirty burgers and it was delicious. Very clean and friendly staff.

Friendly staff that allowed me to modify my drinks order, there was a little bit of a wait but not bad for a vegan royale meal. The sandwich came with too much mayo for my taste but that's a personal preference. It's relatively clean and has gender neutral bathrooms. I had no issue getting a seat.

Terrible customer service. No communication. Ordered delivery & paid, waited and waited but it never came. Ring to find out they have cancelled my order but couldn't be bother to tell me. Turns out they don't deliver 5 mile only 3 mile radius so not sure why they took the order or my money... (which I still haven't got back yet) waited an hour before I called them and found this out, if I hadn't we would of probably still been waiting as they had no intention of telling us. Absolute joke of a restaurant and My 6 year old is now starving

I’m a regular customer at Sweet Treats and usually enjoy visiting, but today’s experience was disappointing. The staff member serving us was quite rude and seemed irritated for no clear reason. She was speaking to us in a harsh tone and appeared to be throwing things around while preparing the order, which made the experience very uncomfortable. I’m not sure what the issue was, but the attitude towards customers was completely unacceptable.

Lots of low scoring reviews but I can only go off my experience today I received a Nice full size pizza with plenty of toppings... It's a Half and half Special offer £12.99 inc stuffed crust. I got Fast service and a polite member of staff. Maybe they've had a change of management ? Job well done today !!

honestly the delivery guys do them a dis-service, apparently impossible to ever get your order correct and like to deliver other peoples orders instead. Probably happened 3/4 times over the years. Clowns

Absolute waste of time and money. The girl put my soup through as tomato instead of chicken. Took it back after waiting 25 mins to return with the correct soup. This was cold so had to return it again the whole process took 40 mins to deliver the correct soup and the cafe wasn’t even full. Over £20 for soup a sandwich and 2 drinks. We will never dine here again the service is slow and the food mediocre.

After swearing not to eat here again I ended up doing so the other day as my university friends insisted the food was nice. I should have trusted my gut after the last time I was there and received a bland dry veggie burger with no salad or sauce. They ordered a full English and the bacon was undercooked, they said their sausages were poor quality and the ‘toast’ was basically warm bread. One friend ordered a cappuccino which was lumpy and undrinkable. I ordered a tuna panini which was actually a disgusting tuna baguette which the baguette was soggy and warm not even crispy and it was covered in a thick layer of cheap minging cheese. The only good side was my pint was a good pour. Safe to say I’m 100% not wasting my money they on food again and I doubt my friends will either

Visited on Saturday 14th September and what a blast we all had. The bar staff had mint banter. Tony the DJ was fantastic from the minute we walked in until the minute we left. The bar lad I think his name was Tom recommended the black cherry kraken and wow what a drink. He recommended I also visit legends during the week so that’s on the to do list! Keep up the great work lads
