Decent happy staff .. good choice of drinks ... Has the usual town divvys but we're doesn't now a days 🤣.

We love it in there every Monday do our horse racing on the table the staff are fantastic always give us the remote to turn over class

Too busy, absolutely boiling. The staff weren't that polite, they all looked sick of working there. And the bloke who served us. Was the worst. Just dropped change in my hand and walked off. Didn't even look what he was doing and change went everywhere. He didn't say sorry, just went and served someone else. Has a free electronic dart board which was good. The amount of people behind us getting served first because they know the barstaff wasn't good.

Good for sports and a good craic

On I was there for an away game for watford popped in for a pint nice enough place

Always a good atmosphere with music playing and a pool table and dartboards, and the beer is cheap as well, what more do you need

Great place for a pint, dj plays your music requests, and karaoke selection is really good, if he doesn't have the song you want to sing he tries to get it there and then, failing that he has it the next time you go in, prices for beer are really cheap especially during the weekdays some of if not the cheapest prices in the area, it's a little quiet at the moment because it used to have a dark reputation, but now it's brilliant new management been in for a little while and its friendly and welcoming 😊

Saturday lunchtime, place was heaving because of football. Great prices. Good selection of beers and credit to Boro fans for a good atmosphere. Top day out even though we got beat later on.

Never have we had Any trouble here, but the night of the 28th May I was out celebrating my birthday and the glass collector had taken mine and my partners drink away, when going to the bar to speak to someone and getting told she would look at the cameras. To then come back and say she had seen the glass collector take the pint of larger but not my partners gin was a joke both drinks were on the same table. We were asked to leave by the bar supervisor who got us escorted of the premises like criminals. Her attitude was disgusting zero customer care skills. We are genuine customers that use this pub on a regular basis. Not the type you see in the toilets taking the drugs, which a blind eye is turned. I will never use these facilities again and I hope that the drug problem is addressed and there loyal customers are treated with a bit more respect. And the bar staff need alot more training in customer care as the lady I dealt with had zero customer care skills. I have a picture and I will name and shame this person.

Never been in here either, even though it was on the go when we used to hit the town 40 years ago. Was taken by surprise at how clean it was and big! They are obviously competing with wetherspoons on drink prices, which is great, but it doesn't do any food, which is a shame, haven't a clue what it would be like on a night time. Definitely for the nostalgia hit, which is great if you just want a decent pint with no thrills.

Haf a really good time pre football match drink or two in there last week. Nive pint and really cheap. Friendly too

Called in for sunday karaoke and what a big let down, sorry to say but we won't be coming back, surely when one is being paid to do a job and attract customers into a venue the last thing you expect is having to go searching for the person who is doing the karaoke, where was he? either outside smoking and carrying on or behind the bar, again carrying on with the bar staff looking at his mobile phone. When he was actually doing his job, he appeared to have no interest in what he was being paid to do and treat customers with disrespect.

I absolutely loved this pub when I went I brought my kid and it was a very nice and clean atmosphere. The drinks were cheap and they let my kid have one even though he’s 12 which is great as he needs to learn how to handle a hangover. Overall a great pub and the staff were incredibly nice.

Rubbish pub. Advertises Karaoke on a Monday at 14:00. If it happens it is at least an hour late. Sometimes never happens at all. False advertising.

Awful, underage, rude kids, rough and not a nice atmosphere would not recommend going in here.

Went on a Pip Market / Boro match Saturday, Place was full beyond capacity, very warm inside and difficult to get served. All in all an uncomfortable experience…

There’s so much wrong with this pub. Firstly the pub is an absolute mess there was smashed glass left around, the floor was so sticky and the whole place looked like a pig sty. The toilets were also a right mess and reeked of urine and I found empty drug packets on the floor. When I told staff they weren’t arsed and told me to stop complaining. Speaking of the staff most the staff were rude as and they couldn’t even pour a decent pint and they don’t even have the correct glasses for most their draughts. Felt like I was in Whitby with the size of the head on my drink. And the big lady behind the bar is the laziest person ever surprised she’s even employed. And the worst part of it all is the little old lady who is apparently the manager was sat drinking and when I tried to have a word with her about the staff I got told to go away and stop causing a fuss. She then had the audacity to jump on the karaoke right after. Completely unprofessional and a joke of a manager. There was a young lad who was actually nice but all the women he was on with were awful. Would definitely not recommend and will definitely not be going here again rather go in the Pig Iron than this sorry excuse of a pub.

1/5 worst pub I’ve been in, very rude bouncers at the door, which I seen taking bribes. Also the facilities in the pub are a joke you can smell the mens toilets from the front door, the cleaner clearly isn’t very good. The music was way too loud and couldn’t sit and drink my overpriced coz there was no room as there was about 100 16 year olds sat drinking and doing drugs in plain sight. The dJ was very rude to a friend of mine that was trying to overcome a fever of being in public by going in the karaoke and then the (Shaun) then mocked her in front of the entire pub which caused my friend to leave early. Nearly lost a shoe walking to the bar because the floor was that sticky. I confronted the boss the little old lady which thinks she’s above everyone about the DJ and she said “just go enjoy ya self ma wee lad” completely disregarding anything I said. Frankly my experience with the boss the staff the pub and the lack of cleaner was terrible(with the exception of a couple of young lads behind the bar who were quite pleasant and understanding) I don’t mean to be rude but i wouldn’t blame her husband for sleeping about because she is horrid

The place may be nice, but the guards at the gate are aggressive and very spoiled. They are treating people very badly. Nothing recommended.

Good service and excellent prices. A mate was in Middlesbrough on a course so I took him in there and he was shocked at how cheap a Fosters was compared to Macclesfield.
