Thanks Chef David it’s been pleasure
My sister booked a table for a family event and was told they couldn’t seat us at 7:30 pm and if we could book for 8pm instead.
We got there at 8pm and the place was empty.
It was poorly lit, cold and the staff were rarely seen.
The menus were dirty, and on the rare occasion when staff did make an appearance we were told that all prices were £1.50 more than what it says on the menu. Also there are no drinks on the menu and we were told to bring our own.
The cutlery, which was very slowly handed out over a 10 minute period, was not clean.
We were there for 30 minutes and no one bothered asking if we were ready to order.
We left without ordering.
If you want good food, a good atmosphere, and to be treated like a customer, then get in the car and go somewhere else.
This place is a throwback from the 70’s, with rude staff, poor facilitates, and dated look altogether.
The only people that ever go here are the “natives”, and that’s because fly never strays too far from the turd
I went here today post COVID. It was busy as they are participating in the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme in August 2020. The souvlaki was up to standard - I had the chicken in a wrap with a few chips and salad. The waiting time was good compared to other restaurants in the Food Court. The thing that let it down was the lack of sanitisation of the tables. I sat for half an hour eating my food and not one member of staff came round to clear or wipe the tables. I did my table myself with my own tissue and sanitiser. I think they should be more particular especially in these times.
20:40
Ordered for a delivery. When turned up there was a dish missing. So called to say that a dish was missing. Was told over the phone that we hadn't even asked for this. My daughter heard me order and said to the guy on the phone that she had heard her father ask for the dish. He said he was the owner. He then turned up on the doorstep 10 mins later with the missing dish and was more or less squaring up to my 20 year old daughter.
Arguing with her.
Must say my daughter never complains or argues.
So certainly did not instigate this or was rude.
Been ordering from here for a while now. And there was a missing dish last month. But just put it down to a one off. But to be confronted like this, by the owner, by his own admission, disgusting service.
Food wasn't up to standard either. Most went in the bin,
I always try and support our local businesses. This one however, will not be given another chance.
My advice, to customers, avoid. My advice to the owner, get some training in customer service.
I cannot believe what a witnessed this morning. Two ladies sat on the next table had their order messed up at the till, so when the food came and items were missing they asked for a slice of toast just to compensate. The member of staff came back clearly embarrassed and told them they had to give back half a potion of the scrambled egg in place of the toast
The manager, Simone came out, she has no customer service skills at all. She confirmed the lady had to give her half the scrambled egg, even though it was going into the bin and proceeded to take it from her plate. This is disgusting behaviour to think they would rather throw food away than to own a mistake and just give they lady a slice of toast.. her attitude was that they expect customers to pay for the food they eat.. and she just rolled her eyes. It was unbelievable to witness that kind
of behaviour towards customers
Shocking. We come in and sit down. Ask the staff what the options are for gluten free. Get told that “yes we can do almost anything and have gluten free soy”. Half the party order whilst the gluten intolerant try to work out the menu (we were told there was an allergen button on the QR code menu).
But no. No gluten free list on the app. Manager came over and said - “no, you were told wrong, we don’t have gluten free soy”. Ask how to find on the app and are told “have to open and look at allergen list for each in turn”. Manager also tells my wife that “there’s lots without gluten”. Well I beg to differ. Look at the menu. Hardly anything without gluten. Perhaps a salad and some edamame beans. That’s about it,
Really NOT at all allergen friendly. And rather rude and dismissive treatment.
Food was atrocious. Arriving leaking out of the containers, naan bread wasn't tasty and a job to chew. Main dish was nothing I had ever tasted before and not in a good way. No flavour, meat like dog food. I will never ever order from this place again. Don't waste your money like I did.
2nd time using The new Monsoon, the food was fantastic both times! And delivered HOT!
I’m happy to say I’ll be using these everytime now and dumping my regular takeaway as there is no match. 🍜
I've ordered from here a fair few times now and I've had no issues. Tonight I ordered 2 pukka C&M pies, I unwrapped the paper and the pies were wrapped in individual wrappers but was covered in salt, that weren't so much the issue except didn't expect a snow of salt. I cracked the top off and the first pie didn't taste right, but I wasn't sure... I opened up the 2nd one, cracked the top, opened it up and I got a disgusting sour smell, I moved some of the filling and the base was a dark brown sugary colour and was so solid my fork could not crack it! My fiancée sniffed it and checked the date on the wrappers.... No dates... I am beyond disgusted that they are selling 'out of date' food.. especially with them being chicken!!
I have this a rating of 3 on the pure fact that my fiancees kebab was perfect.
