Food was stone cold, pizza wasn’t even cut, barely anything on the pizza itself. for paying such a large sum of money i expected something better but this was just disappointing, will not be returning.

Had a lovely lunch, and was served by Connell, who was brilliant and looked after my family amazingly. Thanks Donnell 😁

Donnell was fantastic, top quality service and really made the effort with us customers. Absolutely deserves a raise he really made our day and food was delicious!

I recently visited Pizza Express Lakeside with my 2-year-old daughter and was extremely disappointed. They had no suitable food options for her, so I had to get a portion of chips from outside. When we tried to place our order, the waiter sternly told us that outside food was not allowed. I asked about baby pouches or food from home, which was also rejected. This was absolutely shocking, as no other Pizza Express has ever caused such an issue. The manager's instructions genuinely need to be addressed. Additionally, the hygiene and table cleanliness were poor. Our table was sticky and had visible crumbs, and it took a while for the staff to acknowledge us. I had to go and ask to place our order. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Our family always have at pizza express restaurant every month gathering together. The restaurant's decoration looks great and the waiters and waitresses have same uniform with great smile. They look warm a lot and are very helpful with their menu. The Foods are really good with lots of flavours and ingredients are fresh. The last time,we ordered a cheese pizza, was very tasty. The prices are very reasonnable.Restaurant is tidy and toilets 🚻 is much better.5 starts for cleaness. We had a good time together at the restaurant.

Our gluten free pizza had no toppings on because they had all fallen off the side. Otherwise nice food and good gluten free options

Ordered the garlic bread cost nearly £7 was the size of of a small slice of bread would not order this again was not value for money

Looked as though they had squeezed in too many tables, had too few staff that looked too stressed to worry about giving good service. Waiting times for service were a joke.

Went for a lunch here mid-week. It was fairly quiet, food arrived quickly and the service was good. I had a gluten free pizza and I did feel I made a mistake as it was quite soggy although I'm sure I've had GF pizza at pizza express that have been fine I definitely wouldn't order this one again.

So this was my first time trying this restaurant and I was very surprised it was delicious came in a good temperature so it wasn’t cold the Doug balls was surprisingly delicious with just the garlic butter so definitely will buy them again and for the pizza it was nice but u feel like a but hard as the pizza cooled down I was eating mostly the cheese and pepperoni which was nice but kinda too much I think the cheese should be a little lesser along with the amount off pepperoni that was added it

I ordered a takeaway pizza. it wasn't done right…..half raw. lack of staff. Never go back there………..I do not recommend!

The food was cooked perfectly and presented very well, we were checked in during our meal and it was genuinely a lovely way to end our family night. Order took over two hours and food was stone cold.... very poor

5th January 2024 update. I called LOGAN to serve us. He even remembered me from my previous visit to that restaurant. He was very curtious and helpful, accommodating my special requests. He got us hot water to drink as requested. He then took my wife's and my order. Chef CLAUDIO took on the mantle to create the dish for me. I am talking about the Calzone Nduja. What was presented to me was perfection. It was made extra spicy for me with generous Nduja sauce. Logan remembered my conversation with him on my previous visit about the lack of variation in the salad and this time salad included halved baby plum tomatoes. This was undoubtedly the BEST Calzone I have ever eaten at any Pizza Express, it fact it is the best one I have ever had from any restaurant. My wife's Duo Romana was cooked to perfection. She thoroughly enjoyed all the favours. I will definitely be looking to be served by Logan on our next visit and have my Calzone cooked by Claudio. BRAVO to you both. I sincerely hope both of your get high recognition from your management for your excellent customer service today. Thank you for a memorable treat

Workers was extremely welcoming when we arrived, really quick service and food was too an amazing standard, provided colouring for the kids and interacted in their activities.

I would give no stars if I could. We supposed to be a nice girly shopping day lunch out but the service and food made it horrible. Signed up to get free dough balls did that but because we have Tescos voucher we didn’t get them for free even though that’s not stated so i had to pay out for the dough balls even though they could of done it for free especially with the bad experience toke a hour the waitress didn’t know what a Bailey’s was the pizza was covered in pepper and just taste like tomato paste the salad had no potato in it the dips are served in plastic pot the waitress then told me not to stressed to tell her four times they we wanted the bill and kept getting told she had to serve other people they were so rude never again in any pizza express we shall be be emailing head office never had such a bad experience. Thank for ruining a nice day out.

One of the pizzas was not what I ordered.. they also both came without cheese.. both pizzas cold and also the bottom burnt. I know char is good on pizza but the base was actually burnt. Cold dough balls just to top it off. £35 down the drain, won’t be ordering again

Had a lovely meal this evening , food was great and the service was excellent! The waiter was really attentive and great with my son , he was chatting away to him and bought over the crayons so he could fill in his kids sheet.I asked his name as I was so pleased, his name was Logan , only a young man but it was evident that he takes pride in his work. Great service is hard to come by so when it does it should be praised! Well done pizza express lakeside .

We came to Pizza express at Lakeside Shopping at 15:20 and been sitting at table 5 We had the worse experience ever, terrible service and food... As we arrived we had ours table straight away, drinks order and the first round really quickly, food after 10 minutes, which is not bad... But the food was disgusting, and all waiters soon after they served ours table disappeared, nobody ask if was good or bad. Melazane and meat lasagne absolutely rubbish... we went to bar to ask for drinks and to clean ours table after nearly 1 hour after, no one show their faces, even i asked if is a self service. Pizza express used to be for a long time one of my favourite restaurants but now i definitely changed my mind, hopefully this message will reach the management to get it back to a reasonable standard. I do not recommend this pizza express at lakeside shopping to nobody.

Our goto place when we visit thr local cinema. Great range of food, hot (or cold). Freindly staff and fair prices.

It takes a lot to take a call to feed over 70 people on a Tuesday night without prior warning. It takes a brave restaurant to take that order so close to their closing time. But take it they did, and within the hour, Brook and Robert from Pizza Express Lakeside had delivered the goods. Not only with exceptional speed but with accuracy to order and high quality, resulting in some very full happy people. Review care of Ollie, an Assistant Director from the film crew, who was very satisfied with his pizza. 10/10 would recommend this restaurant.

Good food. Really not busy but slow serves. We ended up leaving the money on the table and walking out. Visited again. Food is great, but service was worse then last time. Waited 15 mins after asking for the bill. Could not pay on the app as we had vouchers.

I took my grandson, his choice of restuarante. Left to myself I would have left, but ... teenagers! First of all we were told there was a plumbing fault so no jugs of fresh water available, moreover, the toilets were out of action, so we were advised to use the facilities in the main concourse. At which point I am questioning is this even legal? We ordered drinks - Fanta - not available. Asked for one diet one standard Coke, received 2 diet cokes. Then we ordered our meals, to be fair my grandson's pizza was good, however, the salad nicoise I ordered was a total car crash. Looked so gross and unappetising I could not eat it. It was taken away with no question as to any problem with it. Desert - my grandson ordered something - unavailable as there was no gelato. Same for his second choice. I simply wanted a cup of tea by this time, but, no hot drinks available. I asked the waiter would it have been better to simply close until the problems were resolved, but like everything else - no answer was available! It will be a long long time before I return.

Our waiter Anthony was great! He accommodated to my friends dietary needs and he went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience - very polite young man and would definitely come again :)

I never complain about food but there is always that first time. We went to Pizza Express for lunch today. 2 adults, 3 kids. The girl that was serving us was not customer service focused. Not happy, abrupt. That's fine. Maybe bad day. Ordered food. Took ages to get it on the table. Kids food was fine. I ordered lasagna. I am not fussy, I never complain but what I got was not lasagna. Between 3 sheets of pasta was some kind of mixture and there was no beef in sight. It looked like half digested slurry that to taste better was covered in enormous amount of cheese. When I was asked is everything OK, I told the girl that no, its not, that there is no beef in the dish and it does not look like lasagna. She shrugged her shoulders and said do you want a new one, but just to let you know that it will be same as thats how we get them from producer, frozen. I politely suggested to pass feedback to kitchen but she said kitchen can't do nothing about it as it comes like that from provider. She asked do I want anything else and when I said no, because I lost appetite, she shrugged her shoulders and went off. I am not Gordon Ramsey, but that was not lasagna. I doubt if I ever go back. Sorry.

The order is marked as delivered and the after waiting for 2 hours, the food didn't even arrive! Pathetic service by Just Eat. Instead of running YouTube ads, spend some money on fixing your supply chain.

Slow service from kitchen side few of the menu items not available which we found out after staff take order wait for the pizza almost 18 minutes again staff come back and mention one item is not available that’s why we have to choice mushrooms. Over all bad experience

We have been going to Pizza Express for as long as I can remember. But today deserved a review. Excellent food and fast service as usual. Special mention to Maddie the waitress who was the most helpful and considerate waitress my wife and I have ever encountered. A lovely person and nothing was too much trouble, she even saved us money by advising on a shared starter. If only all service was as good as this. One of the best Pizzas we have had at a Pizza express so kudos to the chef also.

I’m giving you one star, simply because I was told I had to pay with card even though I want to pay with cash, and that I had to go to find change in order to pay for my food which is absolutely ridiculous. We are not a Cashless society yet.

My friend and I visited Pizza Express for the first time. The atmosphere was relaxing. The employees are friendly. We were served by Gabija. We tasted the food until we ate! We will definitely coming again!

One of the worst pizzas I've had, unfortunately. Next time I'll just choose any of the other restaurants next door. I'd just compare it to a badly cooked frozen pizza from Tesco's. For £17 a pizza I would expect quality ingredients and a capable chef! Pizza Express, you failed miserably this time. The doughballs are to dieee for oh my GOD. I get the pepperoni pizza so goooood and the parmesian makes me want to buss. I can't forget about the millllk and brownie so warm and fudgey and moist the milk is creamy and thiccc best milk I will ever indulge in

We had booked a table for 10 people on Tuesday 18th April 7.30 sitting We were rushed and asked to order our deserts with our mains as they were closing at 9pm Our waitress was lovely But the manageress not so We were given our bill of £300 With deserts which tea missing as advertised and charged Just told they had run outa d kitchen closed no offer of refund Our waitress felt terrible and offered to pay from ner own pocket She was confronted by the manageress and reduced to tears Shocking

Sat here for over ten minutes. Restaurant wasn't busy at all, but I was ignored!

Always tasty with good portion sizes. Colleagues were helpful, supplying an extra dip at no cost. Only disappointment was that several items were out of stock. Still recommended though.

Me and my partner came here because we had a gift voucher for pizza express. The food was good but the first problem was there were fly's all around us. I have added a picture of a fly on my partners drink. When we went to pay we told them we was going to use a gift card what was fine. After 5 minutes or so the server came back saying the card wasn't working and he was going to get a manager. The manager told us gift cards ain't working since the morning. I told them no one had told us about gift cards not being able to be used and there is no signs. If they had known since the morning why not let people know. Other restaurants in lakeside always have signs up if there is problems with payment or food missing from the menu. If we couldn't use the vouchers then we would have gone somewhere else. What would of happened if we didn't have any other form of payment on us ? Really poor from the management. They said we could complain to head office and get a voucher as compensation... What's the point of getting another voucher, I already have one. Won't be coming back here. Shocking.

Hadn't been to Pizza Express for a while so wasn't sure what to expect. I took my parents and we were pleasantly surprised as our pizzas were fantastic. Service was a little slow but the dough balls tied us over just about. We were put in the kids area so the wall had been drawn on (not the chalk wall) so we kinda felt stuck out of the way.

The worst 10 minutes I’ve ever experienced in a restaurant. Was rudely greeted by a small blonde girl who sat me down and acted like I wasn’t there :) We asked for a menu a number of times but it was almost as if we were wearing invisibility cloaks… What makes this experience worse is the fact it was pretty much empty and the second we stood up to leave the cloak must have come off!!! Too little too late. I NEVER leave reviews, but I just had to.

Living in the US means no pizza express, so we make sure we went while back in the UK. the pizza is great and the staff very attentive. My only criticism would be the noise level because there are too many seats. But I understand the restaurant is a business. Anyway, it's our fav place to go for pizza

The waiter decived us and made us pay 26£ extra + 2£ for each pizza for a romana and we had fiorentina . It was very bad. In Stratford shopping. We don't go back there.
