Worst pub I’ve ever been in! The bar was sticky, not cleaned properly. Don’t think the floor had been swept for some time - we went in 12 o’clock Sunday lunchtime and under our table was chips that were obviously left from the day before. My partner went into the gents toilet and both cubicles were out of order, he said the urinal trough was filthy. Hand dryer didn’t work. My friend said the ladies toilet wasn’t much better, no toilet roll in one cubicle and in the other one the roll was hanging on string. No cask beers at all and only one bottle of Abbot ale as there had been a cruise ship the day before so they had sold out. Half the food on the menu wasn’t available, only 2 portions of rice were available, no homemade quiche. No packets of crisps at all behind the bar. Ordered jacket potato, and it was clearly heated too long in the microwave, 2 small hard barely edible potatoes arrived, our friends chips appear to have been reheated. Tables weren’t cleared till we were leaving and when talking to a member of staff she didn’t appear to be interested- her actual words were “I’m just a number” !!

Make your own mind up as we were a bit sceptical before trying as the reviews were mixed. We agree the menu is limited, but the food was very nice and cooked to order. The staff were very friendly and the prices were reasonably set as I say try and you decide.

Well I met a potential client here for lunch and wish u didn’t !!! What a mistake. I entered and was awaiting the client the pub appeared nice and tidy to be honest. As I was waiting I was greeted by a very friendly lady(mixed race ) very helpful. She got me a drink and then I caught sight of a gentleman who I could only describe as very unkept scruffy and as he walked closer to talk to the barmaid the smell of body odour was shocking he was running his hands through his hair he then walked to the kitchen and came Back with a plate of food to my disbelief he appeared to be the chef. He then stood in the door scratching his private areas. This is not my first visit to here but shocked at the difference.

One of the main reasons for the visit was due to the iconic name, made famous by the film of the same name.. of which my boys are huge fans Visited after a cold visit from Suffolk with my 2 teen boys after a cold visit to the Fort, wanting to warm up with some food. We definitely saw a local that we thought of as 'Blank'. 🤣 For a Saturday afternoon it was extremely quiet, which concerned me a bit. (Usually strikes me as not a good location if this quiet) Ordered drinks and food for 3 of us and food from a very limited menu. One thing was immediately noted... How damn cold it was in there, a fire, or should I say, hot coals, was in the fireplace but it was freezing on a winter day, even the staff were bundled up in winter coats. We sat at the back of the pub in the Samuel Pepys room where we were quickly joined by the local 'village council' having their meeting and glaring at us as we chatted! (Sorry.. pubs are for chatting) Our food arrived swiftly and to our delight and I have to say suprise, it was really tasty and of large portions... Fish was a tad on the greasy side, but was still edible. So, 10/10 for that. Overall. A welcome stop off after a visit to the Fort and yes, I would visit again.... It wasn't terrible.. but it really lacked the love and attention it dearly needs in order to attract more clients.

All closed up, looks like it's another pub gone. Went for little stroll with friends along the waterfront and decided on making pub our lunchtime stopover, as we have before. No signage outside for menu, or the usual sky tv/ football banners, and all the chairs stacked up inside. Shame possibly another landmark going.

Admittedly we arrived at 1pm on a sunny Friday, however, we were not told of a long wait for food. There was no bitter on pump, only bottles. I ordered a sandwich and waited an hour before I chased it up. When it arrived, the side salad was drenched in water, soaking the brown bread. I tried to pick up the sandwich, but the bread was too soggy and collapsed. I started to put the contents into the top slices and noticed that instead of chicken & bacon, I only had bacon. My friend’s wrap was in a pool of water, she asked for a serviette to dry the plate, the waitress offered no apology and just brought cutlery in a serviette, missing the point completely. We were due to have crisps as well as a side salad, however these were missing. When we asked for them, we were told they would follow. When they didn’t, my friend went to the bar and was reluctantly given some bags, but only flavoured packs. I am sure if we were locals we would have been treated better, but we were ‘tourists’ as identified by the man behind the bar.

Interesting location near the Tudor fort and the Thames ferry to Gravesend. Stopped for a couple of drinks and sat outside. Looks quaint from the front but nothing special inside and at the rear and not a very extensive or interesting selection when it comes to real ale. Shame it doesn’t have a view over the river as it’s too low down. I can’t comment on the food as I didn’t eat here.

If I could give a higher rating I would do! There is not one bad thing about this place! The food is really good quality, never had anything bad at all and reasonably priced too plus it's quick service which is always with a smile. The staff are genuinely amazing and a credit to the place, always friendly and professional! They make you feel welcomed every time you step in, there's a pool table and dart board too which is all you need in a pub. You get a very diverse group of people going in and out but everyone is always courteous of one another e.g when people are playing pool/darts. Also it's a lot better in the summer out in the beer garden and taking in all of the scenery. To summarize I would definitely recommend anyone going there whether it's for a drink, entertainment, socializing, business or some food it's the perfect place to do it.

We went for Sunday lunch. The building itself oozes history. We had read the reviews so were not expecting great food or service but actually the waitress was very friendly, polite and helpful. Food took a little while to come but not too long. There was plenty of it but that's about all we could say. My fish pie had been microwaved to within an inch of its life. Mum in law (90) asked what the funny grey stuff was on her plate. We laughed when we realised it had once been red cabbage. The rest of the food - normal Sunday lunch was average. All that said, we didn't go away hungry and the bill for 5 of us came to £60 including drinks. Worth going just to see the pub itself though.

Our friends asked if we’d ever been to the pub next to Tilbury Fort? We hadn’t, so on a beautifully sunny day we set off along the A13 and followed the signs to the “cruise terminal”. We were pleasantly surprised at the location, setting and...

Finally caught the ferry from Gravesend, as curiosity eventually got to me. The pub is lovely, very spacious, friendly service. Only dropped by for a pint, so can't comment on the food other than it was flying out of the kitchen. Pretty standard choices of...

Worlds end pub is situated right next to the Thames close to Tilbury/Gravesend Ferry the London Cruise terminal (but it is 20 miles from London) and Tilbury Fort. It has a restaurant area but its more pub than restaurant. Having said that its got quite...

I had a meal and a drink at this pub, it was the all day breakfast, it was good and plentiful. The pub has good atmosphere, being of the traditional design. Recommended.

This pub is fantastic. Great beer garden, good selection of real ale, but don't try to bring a bloke in on a Saturday night if it's ladies' night, because there are male strippers and drag queens performing so... Also, you might get slightly fleeced by...

Lovely looking pub in fab location, plenty of car parking. However the lists of dos and donuts before you enter the building can be off putting. Thought we would give it a try, nice little garden for small children and patio area. On ordering, the...

Leavers of Woodside County Primary School 1986-1989 met yesterday for a delicious and plentiful reunion buffet in North Stifford. Shout out to Bobby and staff at the pub for making our event run so smoothly…nothing was too much for them and everyone enjoyed their drinks and the wide range of foods: Crispy Prawns Nachos (V) Onion Rings with BBQ Sauce (V) BBQ-Glazed Chicken Wings Garlic Bread (V) Beer-Battered Salt and Pepper Mushrooms* with Blue Cheese Sauce (V) Salt and Chilli Chicken Fries with Spicy Salsa Sauce Mozzarella and Jalapeño Sticks* with Sweet Chilli Sauce (V) Vegetable Samosas with Mango Chutney (VE) Cheese and Tomato Wrap (V) BLT Wrap Southern-Fried Chicken Wrap They set up the area with our buffet so beautifully and I would recommend it as an ideal place for a get-together.

This place has gone down hill and wouldn’t recommend to anyone eating here. We waited 20 minutes for drinks and food. The Pepsi was flat, the kids chicken nugget meal you only get 3 nuggets and a small portion of chips. Wasn’t aloud to order the big brekki and could only order the all day breakfast. The food was awful and refused to pay for it and sent it back. Will never eat here again. And is well over priced for food that isn’t even enjoyable! The rating for this place should be 0
