The best restaurants serving Chinese food in England

Ordered a delivery last night the person took my card details and once he had taken my money he proceeds to tell me that delivery would be about an hour and twenty minutes because he only had one delivery. Surely it would be better practice for him to have given me that choice before taking my order, however it was delivered on time. Before ordering I asked if the meat apart from the pork was halal and was told it was. My sweet and sour soup unknown to me had pork in it. I rang to double check, same person asked the chef and said yes it had pork in it. My argument is when I’m asking about halal I’m a Muslim so surely he should have questioned my prefer for soup and asked “if I was aware there was pork in the soup”. His menu does not list the ingredients in any of the food so we are relying on him to inform us using his judgement, not calling back later in the evening as an after thought offering a replacement dish which fair play to him kind of redeems him to a degree as it was a kind gesture. My problem know is that I have a lot of food left over but can I trust this person who has told me “it’s halal” to eat what I haven’t yet opened for lunch today? It beggars belief how quickly trust can be broken!!

Used to be really good but has changed There net a lot of meat in the dishes used to be loads just trying to save money you don't even get free prawn crackers

We visit here a couple of times each month for coffee and sometimes also take away scones. Quality is good and the young girls are friendly and helpful.

I found Meiwei on Deliveroo. Was completely blown away by how authentic some of the dishes were and am now a devoted fan. Yes, it is expensive, but what a treat to have authentic China as close as Putney. Ignore the miserable reviews on here and order yourself a delivery. La comida aquí es increíble, vivo literalmente en el camino y siempre hago tiempo para venir aquí con amigos. Recientemente recibí la comida de tres platos para 12. 99 y tuve que llevar la mitad de mi casa principal conmigo estaba tan lleno. Las ofertas aquí son fantásticas, sin embargo, si pide platos por su cuenta, son bastante caros. Debo admitir que el ambiente era muy tranquilo a pesar de que solo había otras dos mesas comiendo. El personal, por otro lado, fue muy servicial y más que feliz de ayudar. Seguiré comiendo aquí ya que me siento bienvenido y la comida es impecable en mi opinión. Mucho mejor que cualquier otro chip barato que puedas encontrar, es la palabra que la pareja adicional quid.

Really really poor.... tasteless ..chicken was like jelly...fried rice was bland..never again!!( This was second try,as local)

Never had a bad takeaway from Po Lee and must have had dozens over the years, always piping hot and fresh. The salt and pepper chicken is a favourite.

First time and last time for jade garden soggy fried rice beef curry full of onions and pre cooked beef wasn't good never again.

Recommended by friends. FANTASTIC!! The restaurant is immaculate. We were greeted by a lovely lady, we chose our food (there is much to chose from & for the price per head?, amazing value!). The food chosen was beautiful, fresh, well presented. The mains were just as hot, beautiful flavours etc... Check this hidden gem out 👍

Ordered take away for collection for Friday evening dinner, every thing in order, no missing meals and very tasty, recommend.

I have been dining at this location since it opened and management has maintained a high standard of dining hospitality through the years. Our visit this evening was no exception. Although very busy, the service was welcoming and prompt. We ordered spicey salty shrimp in shell, Cantonese chow mein and turnip bites. Within minutes of ordering, the food started arriving. The food was nicely presented, well prepared with quality ingredients and very tasty.... and no MSG hangover. The portions are very generous! The premises, and most importantly, the washrooms are clean and well kept. If you want a high quality family dining experience, I highly recommend this Congee Queen location. There is something on the menu for everyone. There is high value in all respects in dining here.

This is normally my all time favourite. Tonight was awful. chow mein shrimp had absolutely no flavour of and had tons of noodles in 🤔 . Sweet and sour veg tasted the same as the chow mein 🤷. They were both not pleasant at all. Delivery time was good . Delivery driver very friendly. I don't think I will bother again as the food was wwwaaay bellow normal standard.

Very disappointed. Bland over cooked greasy food. Service is slow even though not busy. The takeaway has been in the village as long as I’ve been alive but unfortunately a few years ago it got taken over by a new family and has gone down hill ever since. First time we had been in about a year as it wasn’t great last time but gave the benefit of the doubt but definitely won’t bother again. Over priced over cooked slop.

Absolutely appalling service, I ordered a yuk sung and Singapore fried rice on Christmas Eve. And I got something that tasted like chicken casserole instead the yuk sung. Since when ? The fried rice tasted like there was washing up liquid in it . I Called up to complain for the bloke working there to have him put the phone down on me. FIRST TIME IVE BEEN SINCE NEW OWNERS, I miss the old food !!! I even gave the delivery driver a tip too . No wonder they only take cash, I would be asking for a refund from just eat
