The best restaurants serving Chinese food in England

Great food always. I personally dodge their curry I find it pasty and rich rather than spicy. Good service and standard pricing. Never any offers. Like dish of the week for example.

Ordered takeaway and arrived promptly. Food was very bland and tasteless. Chow mein was badly burnt and tasted awful, you could smell the burnt food and singed noodles as soon as the box was opened. They did make new ones and re reliever so bonus points for that. Spare ribs were extremely fatty with little to no taste and the chicken curry was not great either. We have ordered from here several times and ate inside and find it is a very hit and miss place. Either really tasty or really poor. I think that’s the last time we will order from here now as you just can’t be sure of what you are going to get. Perhaps different chefs and it’s the luck of the draw of what you will be getting. Shame as the only Chinese in Towcester who will deliver.

We ate here after seeing a local play. It is fast and delicious. You can make reservations online, but they might not be necessary. The dumplings were great as were the beef noodles, seaweed salad, and cucumber starter.

Never had a bad meal here. Definitely the best Chinese food in Haslemere in terms of food quality and taste.

Cash only with ATM right next to it 10% off if pay by chinese people... I don't get it, why my white guy friend didn't get the discount while dining with me? Authentic food, though I find it too rich for my sensitive stomach Milktea options on site but no tapioca

Great takeaway, on holiday, called in only 20 min wait for food, special chow mein, special fried rice, s&s king prawn balls, crispy chilli beef, salt and pepper ribs, absolutely delicious, one of the best I've had. Would definitely go again next time we sare in the area

We are regular customers of this restaurant and can never find any fault in anything they do. Brilliant, freshly cooked food, piping hot and quickly turned around with friendly service. Always upfront and honest when it’s busy. Amazing family run business which always goes above and beyond when they can to do the best for their customers. Some of the recent reviews are absolutely unjustified and definitely not representative of the restaurant I’ve been frequenting for many years. Trust me when I say to ignore any irritated, ignorant, entitled recent reviews.

For over 25 years I have enjoyed Daventry takeaways & The Mancain has never disappointed me. Here are some of the recent dishes sampled in September & October 2024: [8] Spare Ribs Chilli & Salted: Large and small ribs, fall off the bone salty Chinese spiced meat with plenty of sliced onions, spring onions, chopped garlic and spicy sliced red chillies. These are Really VERY GOOD ribs. [54] Chicken with Green Pepper & Black Bean Sauce: Lovely soft chunks of chicken, big chunky mixed peppers and onion petals in a rich, dark, slightly smoky and bitter black bean sauce. LOVELY. [68] Chicken in Oyster Sauce: I really enjoyed the simplicity of flavour with stir-fried big chicken chucks, Chinese leaves, sliced onions & carrot ribbons in a thick, aromatic, garlic & oyster mushroom sauce. [78] Beef in Satay Sauce: Plenty of thinly sliced, perfectly cooked beef, sliced peppers and onions in sweet and spicy hot peanut flavoured sauce. AWESOME. [146] Beef Kung Po: Ample slices of soft beef, onion petals, cashew nuts, peppers, bamboo shoots and water chestnuts in a ferocious hot yet slightly sweet & salty red sauce. Now that's what I Call a KUNG PO! 😋 [9] Curry, Special with Fried Rice: Big chicken chucks, sliced Chinese Roast Pork, King Prawns, ⅓mushrooms & BIG onion petals in a light coloured thick ginger spiced Chinese curry sauce. Simply delicious. 156] Spicy Plain Chow Mein Portion: RAMMED FULL of dry fine egg noodles, occasional Beansprout and big onion slices coated in a fairly dry, very hot and salty curry glaze with a hint of something middle Eastern. AWESOME SPICY DELIGHT. [Portion] Egg Fried Rice: The best egg fried rice. Simply delicious individual grains of golden brown rice without being greasy or clumpy I've ordered online via the website, telephone or just dropped in (Easy Parking). Delivery is charged by a Zone system, is reasonably charged and ON-TIME. I've never had an incorrect order and always freshly prepared, reasonably priced & piping HOT. The staff are always Friendly & Polite. Attention to detail with food quality, aroma and flavour are paramount and the MANCAIN Delivers in spades. Overall EXCELLENT service & food. Came to this restaurant tonight for a meal and as we looked on the website beforehand we booked for 5:45 because of the early bird deal. After sitting down and getting a drink we were then told that they weren’t doing the early bird or the compare the market which they’re signed up for. Then we started looking at the menu and realised that they have raised all there prices due to the eat out help out deal. A portion of soft noodles at 5.50 is just totally ridiculous and sweet and sour chicken at 10 pound is daylight robbery so safe to say we shall never be going back there and we would strongly suggest no one else does either

I've got to be ,to the point with this one....the beef in the curry was poor quality I thought I'd give it ago after along while of not having it. On the plus side my wife enjoyed her plain chow mein.
