The best restaurant in Sutton. Friendly staff yet very professional. I think pricing is great for the amazing food we had. I enjoyed king prawn chao mein, dinner set B with my family.

Went to this wonderful restaurant again last night, also in June. Always been a very special place with amazing food, and brilliant service. Very kind people who make you feel very welcome. Beautiful Crispy Aromatic Duck, and Sizzling Satay Chicken, and Husband had Sweet and Sour King prawns. Delicious, then one of the best Calypso Coffee's to be had. Thoroughly recommend this lovely place.

We visited on a Friday evening. It was fairly busy but we were shown straight to our table. Service was very good and the food was excellent. Also very reasonably priced. We shared half a duck with the usual accompaniments, had a main dish each (including two sizzling Cantonese steak dishes, with rice, noodles and a couple of beers each. Total for the four of us was £130.

It used to be very good restaurant. Visited this week after a year or so. Food quality is average especially for claimed status and prices, too much oil, fresh vegetables were not particularly fresh. Tasted more like an average take away. Waiting staff was rude, made surprised faces every time my son asked for details. Not sure if it is under new management but definitely deteriorated over the years…

Yesterday’s dinner was simply a catch with a friend and we opted for Heen’s in Sutton as it was definitely the best Chinese restaurant in the area. However, last night’s meal was decidedly average. First of all we were not greeted as we walked in by the staff. Instead we were left standing in a very busy restaurant for a good 5 x minutes before we were asked if we had a reservation, which we did. The Peking duck and spring rolls were pretty good but it went down hill from there. The rice arrived with peas when we specifically told them ‘without peas’ when we ordered. The lamb dish was very tasteless and lacklustre and when the rice did return, minus the peas, it was tasteless and extremely oily, probably from a quick re-heat in an oily wok. We used to come here quite B often but think we will be giving it a miss from now on . . .

Three of us went for a quiet little birthday meal for Mum. Staff were very accommodating for us when a huge table of noisy kids landed next to us and we politely requested to move after our starters. The restaurant is composed of two dining rooms which are almost completely separated, so we were cheerfully offered a nice quiet corner. Food was good. Starters (Seaweed, spring rolls, lettuce wraps) all fresh, all very crispy. Crispy, not chewy, so well fried and fresh. Mains of a chicken dish, pork dish and a Thai curry dish. All enjoyed. An accompanying bottle of soy on the table would be a nice addition, but I’m sure we could have had one if we’d felt strongly enough to ask for one. The Thai curry was actually pretty spicy hot, so plus points there. One of us is gluten free which can be awkward in a Chinese place (where soy sauce is in many things). They provided a chart to pick off what was suitable and we ended up still with a good variety of things to choose from. The disadvantage of the restaurant being split is that it can be difficult to catch a server. It took a while to get the bill. The portions are massive, here. We had doggy bags of chicken and pork to take home. They’re big portions and also not completely padded out with the cheap vegetables like onion and carrot, like they often are. They were impressively busy for an early Monday evening. Booking is advised.

After planning a meal with some friends explaining how good Heens Chinese food was as I had been previously I was extremely disappointed. The staff clearly didn’t want to be at work and they did not like the fact we was ordering the same dish - as if to say ‘stop ordering ‘. We didn’t understand because they charge by the plate so In our eyes we couldn’t understand why they didn’t want to make money . The service was extremely poor the food wasn’t great overall we had a bad experience and would Not recommend this place agin which saddens me because my first time I had visited it was excellent. I really feel the staff don’t want to be there so some thing neeeds to be addressed!!

We have eaten at Heens on our last two date nights, both times this month. The food was excellent, the staff attentive and helpful. No complaints from us. We will be visiting again shortly.

Amazing food, amazing staff. It’s the little touches that count. We have 2 children who we took to try Chinese for the first time. The staff made them feel so welcome. They gave them their own kids chopsticks to keep and a bowl of sweets at the end which they were thrilled with. Great service which was prompt and attentive. The food was so well seasoned and delicious. I have struggled to find anywhere near as good as this in the area. Great portions and they happily packed the leftovers for us to take home. Great value for money. The kids can’t wait to go back so we will definitely be returning.

I have been to the restaurant many times, but the last two takeaway have been awful. Such a shame! I will not be ordering from them again.

I eat in the restaurant on a fairly regular basis and the food is always good. However, I just finished a take away and it’s one of the worse I have eaten. Food was cold, Crispy chilli beef was like flavoured rubber, noodles were so dry they were virtually inedible, sweet and sour pork was 50% fat, nothing special about the special fried rice. Needless to say I won’t be ordering from here again.

Excellent Chinese food with a wide variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian cuisine. Great service and ambiance. We have been a few times in a group of friends and really enjoyed every time.

Metimos en una cena rápida en un viernes y tuvimos una comida realmente buena. El restaurante en sí es muy bonito por dentro con un montón de mesas, sin ser sardinas juntos. Todo el personal era muy acogedor. Soy vegetariana y mi pareja es vegetariana: nos permitieron elegir! El menú estaba muy bien así que encontrar cosas que podíamos comer fácil y nunca sabía que se podía hacer tantas cosas increíbles con tofu! Tuvimos el tofu picante dulce y agria con castañas de agua, tofu verduras alubias negras y arroz frito (sin huevo). Todo llegó muy rápido y era de una gran calidad. Probablemente el mejor frijol negro tofu que he probado y que salió como anuncian! crepitante Había un montón de bonitos detalles, como el calentador de luz té para mantener su comida caliente y basada en la calidad y el tamaño de la porción, nos quedamos muy contentos con la relación calidad-precio. El personal era atento sin ser agobiante, así que tenía un ambiente relajado y agradable. Estábamos en la zona porque estamos buscando mover a Sutton en otoño. Sin duda volveremos con amigos después de moverse!

Fui a Heen es para comer ya que mi oficina está muy cerca del restaurante. Me ordeed mi plato favorito, ternera en salsa de soja, con arroz negro de huevo frito. Mi pedido adoptadas rápidamente por el personal atento y servicial. La comida llegamos a menos de 10 minutos, lo cual era impresionante. La carne estaba tan tierno y fresco, que casi se derretía! experimenté carne difícil de tantos otros lugares, fue unbearble pero en Heen es la comida era perfecta. Me dieron la opción de elegir entre un plato y un plato, así como Fork o Chop bastones, habiendo observado muchas películas de Bruce Lee, estaba ansioso para mostrar mi camino oriental tradicional de comer para que el camarero nos pareció imressive como elegí el Bowl y Chop bastones. He goen volver desde entonces, y seguiremos haciéndolo. Gracias Heen y sigan el buen trabajo! Una buena nota para añadir al propietario sería coger un sitio web así como se ha convertido en un activo usuario de medios social!
