Lovely buffet lunch, great food and good value. Not overcrowded. Plenty of parking nearby. Staff friendly and approachable.

I love Chinese food so popped in for lunch, now buffets can be a bit hit and miss but i have to say this was a pretty good one, they constantly refilled the buffet and it was very good for the price, no fills place but not bad for a big fill up lunch.

Came here on New Years Eve , 4 adults , 2 children , it was a gorgeous buffet , eat as much as you want , the food was piping Hot , loads of choice , beer was cheap , a great night , very impressed, will definitely be back !

We went as a family booked for 5pm when it opened. We were shown to our table and drinks orders taken . We then had the buffet .The food was really lovely, well cooked ,plenty of variety, piping hot and fresh .Having never been before we were very impressed with the food , service and the ambiance of the place. We are definitely going to return very soon.

A busy little Chinese restaurant that offers a buffet. We turned up on spec on a Saturday night and were able to get a table. There is a good selection of food which was hot and freshly cooked. Reasonable price and although we only had a starter and one plate of main dishes, you could eat as much as you wanted.

We booked the Panda Garden for evening buffet, having not been there for several years. The decor is tired & could do with updating. The buffet is basic & a lot of the dishes on offer were low or had run out. The food that was available was ok & the service was good. Didn't really get our money's worth overall and wouldn't rush back, unfortunately.

Let's start with the positives - for a buffet the food is quickly replenished, tasty and piping hot. There's enough choice without it being too much. Staff - there doesn't seem to be anyone in charge with most of the staff being college kids, which is fine if they are organised but they are not and they look like they are being forced to work judging by their facial expressions. We had a broken high chair that required 3 requests for it to be replaced, cutlery taken and not replaced and the winner being told we had to leave as we only had 90 mins from our booking time which wasn't communicated to any of us. Hire a restaurant manager to get your ship in order or it will sink no matter how good the food.

Slow staff. Minimal choice of food which was hardily topped up and tables too close together. Beside that- I could live with the above and not complain. When I questioned the pricing (£15.90) for a 10 year old kid who ate 2 soups n some jelly the lady practically spat the reply back and glared at me. I was really taken aback by this, it was said so scathingly. Don't work in a customer serving role if you so obviously don't like them 🤷. Would I visit again? Maybe at lunch time when it's a tenner but never with kids.

Went with friends after work. Friend tried to book via social media however did not get a response. She then range to book a table for 3. We arrived on time to be told the booking was only for 2. We said no it was for 3 and asked whether we could pull a chair up to accommodate 3. We were told they were fully booked and they didn’t want to allow us to pull a chair up. The staff member was unbelievably rude and give glares!! We eventually sat down in a table for 2 with all 3 of us. Throughout our meal this particular staff member continue to glare at us and made us feel uncomfortable. No discount was offered for the appalling service and no apology either!! This was my first time there and i defiantly, won’t be going back again any time soon. Also a meal for 3 came too £50?? A lot of money for very poor service and average food. The deserts looked very poor. Also to note why put the puddings so close to the main food. I’m sure many mistook a pudding for chicken balls.

Big sign on window with prices and opening times. Sadly they are operating as a take away only. Wish I had known before I spent time finding parking. Would a sign in the window saying that were not a restaurant be too much trouble?

Excellent food every time from here and I must of ordered every month at least for the past 12 months and have tried satays and blackbean,curry's,hot an spicy dishes and the salt an pepper box and it's all been very good food

Really bad service took over 1hr 40 mins for delivery and when came Walt and pepper box looked like scraps no chicken bits etc all old chips and ribs very very bad compared to every other chinese

Didn't like it. Curry tasted like those Mayflower packet sauce. Ribs unpleasant. Rice was alright. Not bothering with this take away again.

Deliery was half hour early than requested Chips plain and salt n pepper were dry and obviously reheated. Curry was far too spicy. Chicken and mushroom edible but have tasted better. Beef in black bean dish very bland. Salt n pepper chicken wings, again obviously reheated. Plain rice ok, egg fried rice ok Very disappointing 😕 in total and no free prawn crackers. Paid £36

Always a good meal at the panda garden loved it. Favourite of mine is the sweet and sour chicken and salt and pepper chips would recommend

Ordered through Barrow Eats, due to the current situation. Order arrived earlier than expected & everything tasted lovely. Very impressed with the service.

We called in one early eveing in January 2020. Still plentiful to choose from, Prawns on some other Slat n Pepper chicken wasnt topped up, pleanty of folk in, what was on offer was hot and fresh. Looking to going again soon when possible after this dreadful virus has gone. Sam.

The favours in the food are wonderful. We visit this place every week as the food is absolutely beautiful and worth going back for every single week. The staff are lovely and always make us feel welcome and valued. If in the area I would absolutely recommend a visit!

Visité este restaurante por la noche cuando había una gran cantidad de grandes grupos dentro y había al menos tres platos que estaban bastante vacíos cuando llegamos y que no se reabastecieron una vez. El restaurante afirmó que cerraba a las 9:30 p.m., pero comenzaron a quitar el buffet una hora antes, lo que nos dejó muy en claro que prácticamente nos estaban echando. El personal fue increíblemente grosero y poco acogedor, ¡necesitan un entrenamiento serio en hospitalidad en ese lugar! La única nota buena que tengo es que la comida era buena, era una pena que no hubiera suficiente y había algunos platos que ni siquiera podía probar, ya que estaban vacíos. No volveremos

El personal era grosero y despreocupado. La comida, aunque sabrosa, no se mantuvo llena y tuvimos que raspar literalmente el fondo de la bandeja para probar algunos de los platos. Aunque todavía quedaba bastante tiempo antes de la hora de cierre, cuando llegamos, había una serie de platos que ya se habían agotado y no se habían reabastecido. Cuando se agotaron los platos, simplemente desaparecieron de las opciones. Nos hicieron sentir tan desagradables que nos fuimos tan pronto como habíamos comido un poco.

Found this place by chance and i am glad we did. I have been to buffet restaurants with a wider variety of food, but the limited dishes were excellent.

Decidimos llevar a nuestros hijos a dar un capricho una tarde de mayo de 2019Aunque reservamos nuestra mesa el día anterior, y nos alegramos de haberlo hecho, el comedor estaba lleno.Como norma, pedí té de jazmín, mi esposa pidió una copa de vino y los niños pidieron J 20 y todos decidimos comer en el buffet.Como de costumbre, la comida estaba caliente, abundante, y se ofrecieron nuevos platos y se disfrutaron nuevamente. Disfrutamos de los alimentos con sal y pimienta, desde alitas de pollo hasta papas fritas.Todos disfrutamos nuestro tiempo y la comida.Esto no es una queja, solo una observación. Nos dimos cuenta de que algunos de los platos que teníamos eran bajos y que necesitábamos reposición, es decir, brochetas de pollo satay, y chips de sal y pimienta, parecía que eran un poco lentos en la reposición y les quedaba una hora de tiempo de servicio, necesitan mantener un Ojo en esto, pero estaban muy ocupados.Pero nosotros, como familia, disfrutamos plenamente de nuestro tiempo y todos estábamos llenos.Sam sea.

ALL RUDE ARGENT & LAZY se pararon allí en los teléfonos y luego eventualmente tomaron mi pedido y obtuvieron 3 comidas de las 4 totalmente equivocadas. Fuimos a pagar. No hubo ninguna disculpa y traté de cobrarme por algo que ni siquiera pedí, ¡no lo recomendaría! ! ! !

Aparecí para una cena temprana a las 7, que parecía ser el momento equivocado. Entré en un lugar bastante concurrido y, después de recibir un servicio rápido para tomar una pinta, me senté y me dijeron que era un bufé. Nada más que un dedo apuntando.Me acerqué y el 70% de los platos habían desaparecido o las lámparas habían secado los fideos, por lo que, tomando un poco de pan tostado de langostinos, me senté a esperar la recarga. 30 minutos después me preguntaron qué quería, dónde dije algo de comida fresca. Salieron 15 minutos más de una buena carne de res en salsa de pimienta, pero no entrantes ni ningún otro plato importante.Era realmente pobre y quizás también mi tiempo, porque el buffet era escaso y una experiencia decepcionante.

As a regular visitor to the Panda Garden in the past it was disappointing to see how things had deteriorated. Almost walked out because of grubby seating but I sat on my shopping bag to take a chance. Soup was nice & prawn crackers tasty. Took too long eating it though as chicken wing dish was empty. & stayed so for a while. Lots of customers in at time of visit mid-day on Saturday so pressure on staff may have been a factor. Service was otherwise good considering numbers. Not sure if I'd visit again on a Saturday

I went here on a Friday lunchtime. There were quite a few people in for the all you can eat lunchtime special for £6.99. I was taking away so got two standard sized plastic takeaway tubs for £4.30 each. You fill them yourself from the buffet. I say buffet, but it was not a particularly good selection and not much of anything left. There were 10 small serving dishes, two of which had chips, two noodles and one rice. The others were two deep fried dishes one in sweet and sour and one in a garlic sauce, one was beef in black bean, one had small spring rolls and the last had chicken wings.I took some of everything apart from chips, and filled my two containers. Everything was cheap and low quality. The two deep fried dishes were both pork, and fatty overdone pork at that. Some of the pieces were pure fat.The sauces were poor. The rice was ok at best, the noodles and the wings were the best part and they would barely get 3 out of 5. The spring rolls were the corner shop frozen 10 for £1 type. They tasted of nothing. It can only be popular because it is cheap, so people go back and forget what good quality Chinese food is really like!

Staff are rude and lazy, unhelpful the women who owns it is miserable and quite possibly the most rude women iv ever crossed paths with, had to get our own high chair and just sit were we could finally come over to get our drinks order waited another 5 mins for drinks to come and be plonked on the table food was average didnt enjoy it at all not a nice atmosphere at all shame it's the only buffet in town now! Pint of coke poured out of a £2 bottle which they charge £2.20 for! Friend got water which was warm out of a tap. Wont be returning.

Went in December food is nice however sat down with family and friends and the owners couldn't even be bothered to come take out drink order. The staff that work there are brill however the owners are lazy. We got up to order drinks.. but my friends were sat on a table behind me and nobody came to take drink orders so they didn't get a drink at all. Since new owners took over few years it has gone downhill moving tables so close to each other just so more people can fit in basically more money the better but because the tables are so close when you want to go for a quiet meal with a friend you feel like you are sat on table with strangers next to your the chairs and table are that close. Hardly any room. The owners need to focus on spacious seating , taking drink orders and not make customers wait a long time to ask for a drink.

really good range of food, all nice and hot. started with the Hot n Sour soup which was good, and then started on the starters and the mains. NOT disappointed.

I was pleasantly surprised at this delicious buffet. The reviews don’t give justice. Delicious Chinese, helpful and welcoming staff. Will be recommending to my friends to return here. Early bird £9.60 if you leave before 6.30. Highly recommend

Well worth a visit. Tasty and nice food, plenty of choices with the starters and main courses. Banana fritters were good aswell.

Perfect tea time treat cheap early bird prices very clean and attentive staff food always hot great variation to the main menu oriental tunes piped in the background all in all lovely experience will go again.

Great if you want to have a quick tasty Chinese meal at a good price.

Food was nice but I think it's time for a revamp and deep clean - the seats covers are just filthy and the cheesy awful music was enough to end the meal very quickly, I could wait to leave, staff were not the friendliest and a little too keen to clear plates and glasses before they were finished with. Will not be rushing back I'm afraid.

I had a lunch time all-you-can-eat recently and the food is lovely. The only critisism I would give is that the salt and pepper chips were over seasoned and the ice cream was rock hard.

Algunos amigos de nuestro club decidieron salir a comer con unas cuantas cervezas y ponerse al día.

Reservamos para 12 personas pero terminó siendo 16 al final.

Llegó como un gran grupo de 13, incluyendo 6 niños para una celebración de cumpleaños. Llegamos por 6. 0 pm, así que a mitad de la hora feliz, el restaurante estaba lleno cuando llegamos, pero tienes que estar fuera a las 6. 30 para calificar para los ahorros de la hora feliz, así que, cuando nos fuimos, solo había otra mesa ocupada. Los niños disfrutan realmente la libertad de elegir lo que quieren, solo les pedimos que tomen un plato de "comida real", luego eligen lo que quieran, nos sorprendieron con lo que estaban probando y comiendo, antes de los helados habituales. La comida solo se distribuye en pequeñas cantidades, por lo que a veces hay que esperar a que se vuelva a llenar un artículo en particular, pero no hay problema. La única queja que tuvimos fue que la sopa de pollo y maíz dulce necesitaba condimento. Apenas un problema! ¡Oh, es una pena que se hayan quedado sin Prosecco antes de que llegáramos, tendremos que ordenar por adelantado la próxima vez!

Llamé por casualidad el viernes por la noche y tuvimos la suerte de conseguir una mesa para dos. Servicio agradable. Buena variedad de bebidas con cerveza Sunlik de barril. Excelente buffet, platos pequeños pero repuestos regularmente, sopa, alitas de pollo y costillas lo mejor que pensamos. Gran variedad de platos principales, probamos unos cuantos. El precio ha subido un poco desde la última vez que estuvimos aquí, pero podría ser porque era viernes. Total con una pinta y una copa de vino solo 30. Los baños suben un tramo de escaleras bastante largo, ¡aún blanden la alfombra "Royal Siam"! El aparcamiento está al alcance de la mano. Ya que el Jade se ha cerrado, imagino que esto es un poco más concurrido, pero definitivamente volverá otra vez.

Table found on a weekday night despite not booking but it does get very busy so maybe we were lucky. Because it is buffet style food there is no waiting to be served but drinks can be slow if busy. Nice selection and really enjoyable though popular foods do run out and u need to wait for them to be replenished. Not a desert person. Good job because the choice could be better and does run out too. Haven't seen that replenished. I do like Panda though

used to come here for meals all the time really enjoyed it a few years ago and now it is just awful the food taste nasty even though there are lots of options there was only have a spoon of each for the hour we were there not one thing got topped up.

We visited at 8pm. A good proportion of the food wasn't available, some had only one or two left of the dish. The soup was cold, the fruit had gone dry, the ice cream had been frozen, melted and re frozen so was inedible. Half of the deserts weren't available and the drinks were really warm. We weren't asked if everything was ok with the food nor if we enjoyed it. We find this such a shame as it's one of our favourite Chinese restaurants to visit.

We tried the takeaway side of this restaurant on our visit to Barrow, the food we ordered was magnificent! Well done guys!🙏

December 2017, we paid Panda Garden a visit as we were disappointed the last time we did.

Fresh, tasty and excellent choice of foods. Great value for money and great service. They keep bringing out fresh food as it's a buffet so the food is always tasty and fresh. Would definitely recommend!

Been a huge fan of Panda Garden for many years and seen different owners come and go.

Decided to give the place a try and wasn't disappointed. Had the all you can eat buffet. The food was hot and each dish tasted differently (unlike most other places where everything tastes the same).

La comida es buena, aunque no hay una enorme cantidad de opciones para vegetarianos, pero que tiende a ser la forma de restaurantes chinos. El lugar es agradable, un negocio familiar, aunque te dan la extraña impresión de que estás en el salón de alguien. No es una gran cantidad de elección para postre pero me dijeron los platos de carne eran preciosas.

En un viaje de fin de semana largo a Barrow in Furness y queríamos algo delicioso para comer, por lo que solicité el servicial personal del hotel para un tren Furness restaurante chino local. El jardín Panda y wow cómo nos impresionó; el personal y la comida era encantador. Comimos todas las costillas en la excepcional buffet pero preguntamos cuántos más nos gustaría y a menos de 10 minutos teníamos otro delicioso plato. Auténtica comida en un entorno agradable.

Plenty of choice. Food was hot and tasty although probably quite expensive for what we actually had. For a small scale Chinese buffet though the choice was good. It gets extremely busy during happy hour but tails off after that. Unlike other places though you pay according to the time you leave and not when you arrive. I don't agree with that

As we had both been working we arrived quite late after 9pm but although they stop serving at 9.30pm they were more than happy to accommodate us even though this meant the staff working until after 10pm. We really appreciated this. As much of the buffet had been taken away they cooked everything fresh for us. The food was amazing, flavoursome and delicious. The service was very warm and friendly. This was the first time we had visited but we will certainly return. Thank you Panda Garden. I definitely recommend a visit

The food was to die for ! Upon arrival we didn't get a great greeting and we felt like we had to guess what to do next it was only thanks to a lovely couple that told us what to do buffet wise .We felt very rushed whilst there a guy came over twice to check how much wine was left inside our bottle ! It's a shame as the food is really nice just maybe have a few lessons on how to be better hosts

Good food. Nice staff. Good value for money. Nice choice of dishes.would recommend we came by chance looking around for a place for meal and found this little gem was busy which is always a good sign. We all enjoyed our meal.

Visited panda garden tonight with my partner and daughter for the eat as much as you like buffet. Staff were lovely and the food was gorgeous. Lots of different varieties freshly made. Highly recommend 5 ☆☆☆☆☆.

We decided on a very impromptu visit for a meal here on a Saturday night .We were surprised they could fit us in as we had not booked and there was a good throng of diners enjoying the food.This is a buffet restaurant and despite not being fans of buffet style eateries our Daughter made the choice and a good choice it was !!We were quickly sat and served drinks and invited to 'eat and enjoy the buffet'With a steady stream of fresh steaming hot dishes coming from the kitchen i stopped dreading the buffet (as most are tepid and bland ) and tucked in to some marvelous Chinese food .Ribs tender and tasty , chicken wings hot and crispy , chicken satay sticks ( clearly a favorite as lots of people made return trips for them ) and i agree too they are delicious especially when accompanied with the satay sauce . There are so many dishes i cant review them all but i noticed all the dished were packed full of meat , replenished constantly and piping hot .I tried the following dishes .Chicken chowmein - tasty Beef in blackbean - stunningFu-yung- very nice Curry - tasty ribs-king prawns-chicken sticks - All amazing .With a few oriental beers i thoroughly recommend the panda garden .

Whilst in Barrow for a few days I popped into the Panda Garden for food.The range of food on offer was good and for the price you can't complian.

While in the area for work, visited around 6:30pm in a Monday night after reading reviews on trip advisor. Was disappointed. Food was luke warm with many of the sauces having a 'layer' over the top of them due to sitting. Not an indicator of freshness. Choice was somewhat limited but usual chicken curry, crispy beef & sweet & sour. Only special rice available - no boiled or fried for some reason. Flavours & taste of food was average, as was the quality. A little overly salty for my liking. Service was average & quick with no hassle. Price was as you would expect - I paid around £13 for buffet plus drink. Environment itself requires updating as looked a little run down but nothing majorly bad or unpleasant. Wouldn't return or recommend. It's definitely not one of the best Chinese buffets I've experienced.

At the buffet I was disappointed when the majority of the main dishes were not very warm and some of the dishes were empty I wouldn't eat there again as their are nicer Chinese buffets for the same price in town

Went for a family birthday celebration. Manager constantly harassing members of the party. Watched while you were eating, harassment for money almost assuming thst one of us would leave with out paying. Food poor, cheap wobbly meat!,

We came here as the whole family, a group of 12 with 6 kids. Drinks are reasonable with a very nice Prosecco, food is best around choice of soups, several starters all hot and regularity replenished. Choice of main courses is great and they were all good, better than the other local restaurants offering a buffet. The kids had a great time and the Manager was brilliant with them. This is tremendous value and we will definitely be back again. The kids are already asking to go back soon!

I have visited here quite a few times. They do a nice buffet lunch. If you want good value in pleasant surroundings it's well worth a try. I will definitely visit again.

I went with a friend without booking and we were lucky to get a table it was pretty full when we arrived just after 5 and it soon filled completely. Another change of owners and another menu change. Nice choice of food and freshly cooked. I really enjoyed mine and my friend did too. However as the tables are so closely packed we couldn't help overhear a lot of complaining coming from the table next to us. This seemed to be mostly about the dishes on the buffet emptying quickly. However the place was really full so they would. They were soon refilled. Personally I would rather have that than lots of food sitting in warmers for hours but we all have different expectations I guess. Anyway we enjoyed it and I will look forward to going back.

Very good service, staff very friendly and helpful.Good variety of dishes and sides to choose from. Quick replacements of dishes once they ran out and the quality of the food was very good.Would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a Chinese that happen to be in the area.

Please note I don't live in the area just work and live out of Premier Inn's. Enjoyed the food I ordered, great fan of salt and pepper, the only problem was I ordered black pepper sauce and not black bean sauce apart from that thumbs up, everyone makes mistakes (shouldn't be mistakes when spending hard earn't money).

love coming here for a chinese buffet, love the starters, not keen on the prawns in shells be so much nicer if they had none on, puddings could be more varied too, would like to see more salt n pepper dishes on the menu

Being a Friday night, I was hoping the food on the buffet would look a little fresher and more appetising. A lot looked like it'd been out for hours, which was a little disappointing for 6-ish in the evening. Credit where credit's due, my vegetarian partner ordered off the menu instead, and got mahoosive portions. Overall food quality, okay. Price okay.

We went here on a Sunday evening as we were staying Barrow that night. We telephoned to see if they were open and doing the buffet as we had found it on trip advisor. They said yes but if it wasnt busy they did sometimes shut early on a Sunday evening otherwise it was 9pm. We had no intention of being that late and went straight away around 6pm. It looked quite small but the buffet area was well set up at the back and plenty of choice which was restocked with small quantities so nothing dried up or stood for too long. It was quite busy when we first went in but the large group were just finishing and then just a few other couples came in after us. The food was really nice and tasty and freshly cooked. As we leaving at about 2 mins to 7pm which we hadnt even noticed until we go outside as to why the price was less than we anticipated, they had charged us the pre 7pm price! We would of been quite happy to pay the price after 7pm as it was still great value. Really pleased we found it and if in Barrow again would go here!

A small Chinese restaurant offering both a menu service and a self service buffet. We used the latter for a quick early evening meal before a theatre visit. The buffet was varied , hot and tasty and well worth the cost of £10.50 per person [ £9.50 if you leave before 7 pm]. I found it a little claustrophobic with tables very close together. Judging by the number of people being turned away as all tables were taken - suggests it is locally popular. it is conveniently, though not attractively, located - being in the town centre

If you are looking for a place in Barrow-in-Furness for a laid-back dinner, this is a restaurant to consider. Good value for money if you are planning dining and wining with friends or with family members, but I would not bring a date here. It is too casual.

Visited Barrow for weekend, watched football match at the continental bar and went here for meal, first impression not great, a little outdated, didn't know it was a buffet type meal. But glad we stayed... Food was great, service was faultless and the value well unbeatable in my experience.Best advice is don't judge a book by its cover on this establishment.

We went for the buffet, with our 20 month old son, food was great upon paying the bill we were charged 5.50 for the baby's nibbles, it states on the wall children under 10 pay 5.50 but its a bit much for a baby. We were happy but will go to jade fountain instead from now on

This is a great value Chinese restaurant buffet style, I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to eat a Chinese Meal. You get what you pay for and for the price there is plenty of choice. The staff are nice and pleasant as is the management and it is run fantastically. As a group of friends we have been here often and I shall be returning.

We went as a family (3 generations) for the early Chinese buffet. It was great value for money. There was an excellent variety of tasty Chinese dishes and the wine was also good value and good quality. The lady who served us was incredibly friendly, helpful (it was our first time here) and pleasant. We felt well looked after and the place was very busy (no wonder!). We did have to wait sometimes for the egg fried rice and chips to be topped up, but this restaurant is far better value and quality than other Chinese buffets we have tried in Barrow. We will be back!

Lovely meal, friendly staff and great value what more could you ask for. Would recommend this place eat as much as you like for £9.50 each.

Came here as a group including five kids for our grandson's birthday. To be so busy at 5.45 on a Thursday night speaks for itself, the place was full but the staff still did their utmost to accommodate drop ins. We have been to a few other buffets but this was without doubt the best, great value at £10.50 adults £5.50 kids, the serving dishes were smallish which meant everything was piping hot and regularly filled up. Probably a smaller range of starters than some others but all excellent and a bigger range of main courses, again all excellent. I didn't try any of the desserts but the kids certainly did, several times! Having not been here for many years I can guarantee that, like Schwarzaneggar we will be back!

We've been to Panda Garden 3 times and it seems to get better each time. The exterior is unassuming and a little rundown and the interior is twee (not unpleasant!) but the staff are efficient and attentive and the food is delicious. The reviews mention the lack of starters on offer and perhaps they've listened as we found a good range. There were 2 soup starters, chicken balls, prawn toast, salt and chilli wings, mini spring rolls and spare ribs (...and onion rings) for starters. There is plenty of variety in the main dishes; all very tasty. They are kept very hot and seem to be replenished with minimal delay when items run out. Would recommend.

Been here a couple of times now and always get nice, friendly service with a smile and lovely food. They never rush you and the food is always topped up and fresh. Plenty of choice for the money. Fantastic value.

I visited this place recently after reading tripadvisor review. It was ok but not a great place to eat in. Dinner buffet for an adult it is £10.5 and for kids it is £5.5. Even for my 3 year old they took £5.5 she hardly eat anything. Compare to the restaurants in London, this place is very expensive and very less number of dishes. Most of the dishes were very oily.

I know that cuisines evolve and change as they travel the world but the food served here is simply not reflective of the thousands of years of food heritage china has to offer. When we arrived there were only 3 starters, onion rings, deep fried ribs (yes, ribs, deep fried) and deep fried pasty pieces. To be fair they did add deep fried chicken after a while. The mains consisted of a range of floured, deep fried meats. Again to be fair there was a beef dish that was good. The range of mains was enough for a small restaurant and some of it was OK. But I wish the owners would be proud of their food, serve fresh, authentic dishes that show the very best of Chinese cuisine and ditch the deep fryer and the onion rings. The price was reasonable and the service efficient.I just felt sad really, do the owners of the restaurant deep fry everything they eat themselves, are onion rings really a true Chinese Starter?Give the people of Barrow a true taste of China, and those that crave a deep-fried banquet of onion rings and nuggets can go to the Chipshop, Iceland or Farmfoods.

My wife ans I have visited three times in the last month and each time we chose for the Buffet.As always we are welcomed by the delightful friendly staff or by Julie, either we chose our table on entry or shown our booked table, and the fact we are asked if we wished to order our favorite drink, Tasmin Tea, this shows friendly, observant and professionalism in our eyes and there are many restaurants who should take a leaf from this review (pardon the pun).The food as ever is tasty, and of good quality. Very often there is a Chefs special, well worth a try. On one occasion there was Ginger and Garlic Chicken, and another visit, there was Chili and Garlic Chicken, both outstanding."This is not by any means a complaint, just an observation"There is a new Chef and obviously as Chefs, they have to carve there own ideas, and style of cooking, its the nature of the beast.Again this is not a complaint, but we found the Hot And Spicy Soup, tasty but lacking in the spice, although they have to cater for all and we realise some can take more spice than others, we feel it needs a little more spice, because we found it more sweet than Spicy.The Chicken Wings need a little more Pepper, hence they are called Salt n Pepper.They are just the two observations, and its our opinion and basted on lour opinion alone.We did find on the other hand, the Satay Chicken on Skewers, just melted and muchly improved from previous Chef, the Special Rice, glorious, in fact the food as ever fantastic.We will be returning very soon.Sam B.

Went here after the races at cartmel food was lovely starters and mains and puddings all excellent loved the salt & peppered ribs all for £10.50 great value

Restaurant has recently changed hands so we decided to try it out for a Lunchtime Buffet. We hadn't been for quite some time, but what a little Gem. There were 2 soup choices- about 7/8 starters- 2 noodle - 2 rice- at least 6 main meal dishes to sample and the same number of deserts. The serving tureens were small and replenished often. Food was always piping hot and Freshly prepared. Staff were excellent and attentive. All for £6.50 a head!!!

Had buffet meal early evening. Food was hot and tasty, regularly replaced with fresh food. Could do with one or two more dishes in the starter area but otherwise recommended

i called the restuarant before heading down asking if the meat was halal - it wasn't. i asked what options they had for vegetarian or seafood and i was told there was plenty seafood and veggie options. considering its a buffet i thought perfect - fancy abit of chinese food and we can also see the area. the buffet option was very limited! there was 4 dishes roughly that could be eaten whereas the rest was all chicken. they didn't even offer the main menu either that other people got offered. food was okay - nothing great , could have been better and i love oriental food!!

Not from these parts us two so we found ourselves, totally by mistake in Barrow. Having had a few drinkies, we ventured out in search of food. We didn't go far u til we found the Panda Garden. They had just finished buffet night but told us they would not have a problem making us something from the main menu. What we got was one of the best Chinese meals ever. Superb food, service and ambience. Thanks guys. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

We visited this restaurent last week on the advise of trip advisor reviews. Had I not read the reviews I wouldnt have stepped inside the place. From the outside it looks shabby and dated,however it was full inside and we were able to take the last table for 2. The staff are friendly, the food is excellent and it seems to be cooked in small batches to maintain freshness. It is an all you can eat buffet at a very reasonable cost and I wont hesitate to visit again next time I go to Barrow

My wife & I have just had a very nice meal at Panda Garden, been looked after really well, eaten extremely nice food & paid a very modest sum for it. My wife & I are vegan & our dietary needs were catered for as well as any other restaurant we've been to.

The food here is awesome,enough said,a very busy little place,staff excellent,please don't be put off by the outside,I wasn't sure at first but my initial thoughts were flawed when we entered,very very tasty food & very clean.
