The best restaurants serving Chinese food in South West

Ordered salt and pepper chicken and chips, beef and blackbean sauce, chilli chicken, was all very nice, some of the best salt and pepper chips. Rang for collection, was ready to collect as soon as we arrived.

Since the restaurant has been taken over it is much improved. The food is good and is now realistic competition takeaway option for Khushi.

First time we visited. Phoned in for collection. I think the young girl on the phone was training but she asked for the answers, we all have to learn somehow!! Collected the order and it was ready when they said it would be. Our caravan is 10mins away. Food was piping hot and delicious. Wish we had one like this at home.

I have been going to Champions for wel over 40 years. The last time I went b4 yesterday was 5 years ago & I have a lovely meal in the restaurant. I had my first take away last night & it will definately be my last. The 2 meals my par4tner & I got we barbeque spare ribs & lemon chicken Both were well below part. The ribs had hardly any meat on them & they were tougth The other meal Lemon Chicken tasted vile and was thrown away. This is very sad for me as I have always had lovely tim es there

Gluten free Tuesday is amazing. My partner can have fish and chips and eat the same take out as everyone else for a change. Treatment of allergy was exceptional, food delicious

Unfortunately the taste and food quality has gone down hill. This used to be our favourite Chinese takeaway in Bideford. The chicken curry was watery and lemon flavoured with no mushrooms or peas just chicken and onion, it was just about edible but not a nice taste, the other dishes were satisfactory, overall its definitely not as tasty as it used to be. It was reasonably priced however but we will try elsewhere next time

Couldn't tell what the food was like as they only take cash. Why do all chinese only take cash? This seems endemic accross the country?

Daughter brought take away home and I had a chicken curry and some prawn crackers. Never had such tough chicken and the prawn crackers weren't crispy just hard. Will go back to Danny's Garden in future.

We had a lovely Chinese from here just recently, I am from the area and it always smells nice. Only downside is that you have to wait long after being told how long to wait, but the food is great.

Having avoided Chan's for almost two years since moving here after listening to other people, we decided to give it a try. I can not fault it. Ordered online and walked down to collect as we don't live far, the food was ready as I walked in. Very generous potion sizes, we ended up having too much food. The prawn crackers are the best I've ever had and one bag contained enough for three people. All of the food was well cooked and the flavours were lovely. I can't believe I left it this long to try but I will certainly be a regular customer there from now on.

So i do not venture out when it comes to food ! Couldnt be bothered to go miles so went to my local !! Lets start Had chicken satay skewers , unfortunately not to my taste as they were fried and not in sauce ! Battered mini spring rolls (banging with bbq sauce ) Chicken in black bean - full of flavour chicken was perfect , nothing worse than hard chicken !! Was so tender and juicy , sauce great consistency plenty of it ! Chicken in satay same as above ! Chips nicely salted Bbq sauce nice and thick lots of flavour ! I would of gave it 5 but unfortunately the skewers werent for me ! Good quality food for a good price !! Young lady server was very friendly too !! I imagine it would be pleasant eating in

Amazing food. The portions are massive. Quick and friendly service. The food was extremely tasty. Really enjoyed our take away

Always rated this takeaway as the best Chinese takeaway in Tiverton, god knows wot they have done changed cooks or got someone who has no idea, myself and my wife had a takeaway from here n it was awful very bland starter was mix spare rib well over cooked, pancake rolls very greasy taste of nothing. We will NOT be going back.

Biggest disappointment ever, after reading reviews was expecting a decent Chinese takeaway but ended up with the worst we’ve ever had. Seaweed was burnt & inedible, egg fried rice was totally bland & a sticky, gloopy mess, king prawn in sweet & sour sauce consisted of 4 small prawns in a sauce that was unseasoned & basically just green &red peppers, onion & pineapple. Vegetable spring rolls had nothing inside, just the spring roll wrapper fried! Total waste of money & effort to go to pick up as we’re told would be more than 2hrs for delivery. Advise avoid this one!

Vegetarian curry was bland and didn't taste cooked out. The spicy salt and pepper chips were about £1.50 worth, not the extortionate £5 charged. Sweet and sour Cantonese was a semi battered breast sliced, which was just ok, not amazing. Shame as it had so much promise.
