WOKIN Takeaway in Bath and North East Somerset

Biggest disappointment ever, after reading reviews was expecting a decent Chinese takeaway but ended up with the worst we’ve ever had. Seaweed was burnt & inedible, egg fried rice was totally bland & a sticky, gloopy mess, king prawn in sweet & sour sauce consisted of 4 small prawns in a sauce that was unseasoned & basically just green &red peppers, onion & pineapple. Vegetable spring rolls had nothing inside, just the spring roll wrapper fried! Total waste of money & effort to go to pick up as we’re told would be more than 2hrs for delivery. Advise avoid this one!

I ve just literally finished my dinner,and it was so good that I thought they deserved to write 5 star review for this little place. Fresh food, great tastes, couldn’t ask for something better.

Really tasty and fresh food. I have used several Chinese takeaways in Bath but this is now our favorite. The lady on the phone is always very polite and able to answer any questions we have.

We have tried many other takeaway places but keep on coming back to this one. The food really tasty, crunchy vegetables, beautifully cooked meat dishes and not greasy at all. Best takeaway Chinese in Bath by far.

Excellent all round Asian food here, although delivery can take a while. Great flavours and a very good range of dishes. Good value too. Highly recommended.

I had beef in black bean sauce and chicken fried rice. Service was excellent, fast delivery also. Food was quite flavourless, not as good as my usual Chinese takeaway. Just OK I would say.

Honey roast pork in bbq sauce.. My mouth waters just thinking about it! And the mini spring rolls are AMAZING!!!! and the best part for £1.5 extra they deliver!

Our food was hot and well cooked. The vegetables were crunchy and fresh. It arrived on time. Excellent value.

This lovely little takeaway kept me going while staying in Bath visiting my daughter in hospital, getting home at 10pm I was able to get hot delicious food which meant I didn't have to worry about cooking or shopping. Often pop in when visiting Bath especially after the cinema or theatre.

We eventually had to cancel our order as we ordered at 7pm and it still wasn’t delivered at 9pm! The lady who answered the phone was really lovely and offered us a slight discount, but unfortunately even she couldn’t get hold of the delivery driver so god knows when it would’ve arrived. I’m pretty sure even if we had received our order at 9pm it wouldn’t have been warm, that alone fresh. Definitely won’t be ordering from here again and would not recommend.

This was a high quality Chinese takeaway. The vegetables were fresh and crunchy and the tofu nice. Chop suey was delicious. It looked and smelled really appealing and was of the quality that we'd be happy to receive in a restaurant - most takeaways seem to be much lower quality. The only negative was that one dish arrived in black plastic which can't be recycled - we'll be avoiding that menu item in future although we'll definitely be ordering from WOK IN again.

The foods always fresh, great tasting and reasonably priced. The only takeaway I ever get. The staff are always really nice too

With the seeming demise of our family favourite, Yummy House, a while ago we were looking for another Chinese we could all agree was really good. Step forward Wokin which has become a real family favourite. Always friendly and reliably consistent, it has become our go to place for our occasional Chinese take away.

This is our fave Chinese takeaway - beautiful food presentation, really authentic and tasty menu selection, and a clean efficient shop front. My personal recommendation would be the 'Beef Chow Mein', but if you want to step-it-up a notch, go for the duck. Also, the delicious prawn balls are to die for, and they've cracked the recipe for chilli crispy beef... Anyway, lots of selection menu-wise - with customisation (ask for more mildness, more spice, no sauce, etc), and probably quite a good selection for vegetarians :) Best Chinese takeaway, and definitely our go-to in Bath.

Have been a Wokin customer for 20+ year now under all it's various names and owners. The current team are up there with the best over this period and I have no hesitation in recommending. Suspect that you are better picking up rather than waiting longer for a delivery on busy nights and parking is not easy.

Second time we've had a takeaway here, amazingly tasteful food but let down buy the tiny bits of duck in the Hong Kong style duck dish, there was a great amount of veg but very little meat! Very disappointing!

Consistently great food and always service with a warm smile! Broad menu and delivery service is rapid and friendly. Our go to choice for Chinese.

Based on other reviews here, thought we'd try Wokin for a change.

I went to order and collect a takeaway on Thursday evening. The food was ready quickly and my wife and I enjoyed the Kung Po chicken and cashew tofu. A good find, looking forward to trying other options on the menu!

Food was excellent; first class (although not too much meat in the meat dishes). However we were disappointed by the service. Arrived at 7.40 told to collect by 8.30. arrived at 8.25 and were told they were just 'finishing up'. Didn't leave with our food until 8.50 and no 'sorry' for the delay. Took 70 minutes from order to leaving which isn't god enough. As I say a bit disappointing as otherwise the food was great.

Just had our food from here and I ordered crispy chilli beef which had about 4 pieces of beef in it. The rest is all show in the picture!!! Second main was a chicken tom yum. Again hardly any protein and a load unknown veg. Unimpressed will never go back!!!!

Always struggle with consistent quality Chinese food in Bath. Some don't deliver, another doesn't take cards.... this one was friendly and despite a long wait (was a Sat eve!) the food was great quality, Hot and fresh flavours. Definitely default choice now! Thank you WOKIN.

Went for the meal deal @ £6.40 for the veg option. It was delicious and good value. One gripe it took a while, but the front of house was very friendly, will be back.

A good selection on menu, , a girly group staying in for the night in bath we looked online and saw what an organised menu structure, made decisions easy!, great phone manner when ordering, timely delivery , great value and even better some fabulous tasty dishes . We all thought they were marvelous and we come form all over UK so a great thumbs up to you all team . The taste far exceeded the price, amazing value

Me and family wanted a chinese takeaway and checked this one out because of the good reviews on trip advisor. We were not disappointed. The staff were very courteous taking our order and making sure it was done on time. The food was delicious and already, one week later, we are ordering again. Well worth a visit.

Really appreciate having this takeaway on London Road, quality is always good, good prices and one of the only decent takeaways this end of town.

Ordered takeaway to be delivered (delivery cost is extra) It took one and a half hours to be delivered. No phone call apologising, we had to ring them to find out what was happening. Not acceptable service and ruined a planned celebratory meal.

This take away is brilliant , the chap who answers the phone & takes the order is so polite, nothing is to much trouble for him. It makes a huge difference when your greeted with such a warm welcome. The food is very good & arrives hot !!. Very reasonable prices. When next in bath will be ordering again. Note to restaurant keep up the good work.

Our normal supplier of Chinese takeaways, in Lansdown Rd, Bath has consistently failed Food Hygiene check by Bath and N E Somerset Council. ( gaining a zero)

Food is very good quality and tastes great, the prices are reasonable and the food came extremely quickly. Would highly recommend.

Food is always fresh and always on time. I had a mix up on the phone about a noodle dish before and they replaced it very quickly with no fuss. Best Chinese in bath!

Tonight a friend popped by unexpectedly and we decided to spoil ourselves with a take away.

This takeout opened fairly recently and since we have only ever ordered Chinese food from here. The prices are great and the portions sizes are generous as well. You can taste that the food is prepared fresh and they cook everything to order. It only takes 20 minutes for them to prepare the food for collections and the many times I have had this I have never had a bad experience.

We were heading for pizza and stopped on the off chance. The food was quick, fresh, and very tasty. We got back thinking we had over ordered and ended up eating the lot. Would recommend this take away.

We ordered three different dishes from Wokin and all were very tasty without being overloaded with salt, so no waking up in the middle of the night with a dry mouth as often happens with takeaways! My only criticism is that the tofu and mushroom main was smaller than the pork dish, and with veggie ingredients being less expensive this was a surprise. This may just be a one off and does not take away from the overall quality of our experience.
