Food was delicious and came out in less than 10 minutes. Staff were lovely and friendly. Would defiantly recommend if you’re in Bath and looking for a delicious Chinese cuisine.

The Chinese food here is highly recommended! It's a fusion of Western and Eastern flavors, with a wide variety of flavors. It's a reasonable price, the volume is good, and the delivery is perfect, so it's sure to be a repeat purchase!

Almost stopped me going inside when I see 3/5 for Hygiene rating, but there weren’t so many choices at 11:00am. Food was very average, the taste were not authentic at all. No music no bowls no service. The supervisor has no clues in managing the place at all

It’s a nice place with a good atmosphere but the dishes I ordered were not good. The flavour and ingredients were way off what they should be. Kung Pao tofu was missing essential ingredients for the dish. The tofu was hot but some of the vegetables were still cold. The curry vegetables just had a terrible curry flavour. Nothing like what you get all over China. I live in China and have been there for 17 years, 8 in the south where that curry originates. Even the hot milk tea wasn’t properly hot. It’s a shame the eating experience didn’t match the atmosphere.

The food was all microwaved, simply not eatable. They also charge you ridiculous price. PLEASE AVOID!

Where do I start with this? The food came within less than 5 minutes of ordering, so had clearly just been microwaved. The wonton soup was bland and the pork dumplings within the soup tasted like they were off. We soldiered on to the mains, and ordered lamb and spring onions, which should be a dry-fried spicy dish. What we got instead was a bland, greasy mess with lamb prices that were barely edible. What an insult to Dongbei cuisine! We also ordered braised beef, which was at least 60% fat, so surgery was required on each price of meat before it was edible. Whilst I get that having some fat in the dish is the authentic way for it to be served, each dish we ordered cost between £15-£20 - for that price they shouldn’t serve such low quality cuts of meat. Overall, the presentation of all dishes was hideous, the vegetables in the dishes had generally just been cut in half or in random shapes…which just shows a general bad attitude and lack of effort in the kitchen. In total, for two meat dishes, the soup, a vegetable dish, some rice and a beer, the bill was £75, which I thought was outrageous. I generally steer clear of writing negative reviews for small businesses, but in this case I had to make an exception, since the food was just not good, it cost way too much and was a very bad experience. Hope they can turn it around.

Had food delivered. The chips, chicken balls, prawn toast and curry sauce were all very nice! however, the chicken fried rice I ordered arrived as egg fried rice and the noodles were stuck together. however, overall a very nice meal, but rice and noodles could have been better.

We ordered take away from here, and discovered a needle in our rice. We have used this restaurant before, and were happy with the service. Tonight, however, our dinner came with a piece of sharp metal in our rice. Luckily, we found it before we swallowed it. This object could have caused serious damage if eaten. Order with caution, and check your food before you eat it.

Good variety of choices, yummy authentic taste

Chinese restaurant discovered during the Easter holidays. It is very close to the ancient Roman baths. I was hungry after visiting, so it is a good place to eat. Opposite the restaurant is the parking lot. The portions are not big, so you can order more dishes. The meal is served quickly and tastes good.

The service woman was nice, but that's about it. 1 out of 2 dishes wasn't eatable and the other one was a 5/10 at best. Her majesty's turning in her grave.

We were hungry and happened to pass by here. Unfortunately I didn't like the food at all. I had “Fried Noodles with Duck” for the equivalent of around €17.25 (£14.50). The meat was totally limp with a lot of fat. The sauce had no taste except for cornstarch and brown water. The noodles looked like they were fresh from the instant noodle soup package. Like raw on the edge and hot and mushy in the middle of the plate (microwave?). I'm not spoiled, but I couldn't eat that. At the next table, two other guests (Chinese) were also dissatisfied and were loudly reprimanded because they complained. You don't need anything like that as a guest. Not recommended.

Worst meal I have had in a restaurant ever. Ordered egg fried rice and I was presented with plain rice which was cold, seaweed was cold, sweet and sour chicken was luke warm. My meal was barely edible. I ordered a drink was never came. Awful experience.

Took 2 hours to arrive, food semi cold and ordered a ‘won ton noodles in soup’ which costs £4 more than the price of regular ‘won ton soup’ yet received no noodles in my soup and it was a regular small wonton soup

Had a lovely lunch with my eldest daughter, the noodles were perfect and my shanghai noodles had a nice drive of spice.

Food really bland, King Prawn with bamboo shoots had little flavour and bamboo shoots were really tough and fibrous. Ordered delivery with Deliveroo. After 1 1/2 hours it still hadn’t arrived (said it would be 50 minutes) phoned and my husband was told driver was out with our order. Still didn’t turn up….. so rang again - this time when was told the driver was just leaving (so first explanation was a lie?) - finally arrived 1 hour 56 minutes after order was placed. Wasn’ t worth waiting for. The hunt for a decent Chinese takeaway in Bath continues……

I've only ever ordered takeaway food & it's been perfectly good. Until this evening, when the delivery driver broke my gate & denied any knowledge of doing so when asked. I have a clear photo of his car & reg. Tried to email the restaurant but the booking/email doesn't appear to work or be genuine

Best pickled cabbage beef noodle soup in town. Order from the Chinese menu. The English menu is rather bland and you probably better go somewhere else for " English Chinese' food.

I'm not someone who cares about service. Just serve me food and leave me alone. So this place works fine for me. I live their place. The food is one of the best chinese places. I taste a difference in some of the menu items for I have been going here awhile. But they are accomating and will give you more spice. 👍 I just miss coming here with my friends

Ordered a special chow mein for collection and there was nothing special about it. Very disappointed, so very dry and tasteless. £10 for the honour of feeling like I've sucked on ghandis flip flop

The rice tastes strange as if it is not fresh, the chicken was dry with a strange taste as well, I read in the reviews that the food there is not fresh but I foolishly gave it a chance because I was hungry,

This place has some of the best Chinese food in the UK, according to my Chinese girlfriend, who obviously knows about these things. We’ve just had a three night holiday in Bath and we ate there on all three nights. The first night we had the grilled fish hotpot, which was incredible. The second night we had a fish soup, some congee and side dishes. Last night we had a Szechuan hotpot and spicy pigs intestines. All the food was exceptional, and my girlfriend said it was better than anywhere in London’s Chinatown! The service was excellent throughout, and very friendly. Prices were also very reasonable. If you like genuine good Chinese food, you must come here if you’re in the area.

Great chinese food, would recommend the homemade dumplings and the Szechuan Dan Dan Noodles. Mouth-numbing goodness.

I found this restaurant on Trip Adviser before we went down to Bath. I had booked a table so when we arrived we were shown to our seats. The service was excellent as was the food.

I have been a loyal customer for over a year…. However on Sunday, the pork rib in my mixed starter tasted off (sour) and I immediately stopped eating it and advised my girlfriend to do the same. It is now Saturday (6 days later) and since Tuesday we have been off work with constant severe cramps, and diarrhoea which also is preventing sleep. The pain I am in, I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Feels like I’m on deaths door!!!! Can’t remember the last time I had to write a bad review but this unforgivable…. NEVER AGAIN. Management please feel free to get in touch

Scam. Don’t order or eat here. We ordered a dish that mostly contained empty fried wonton wrappers. Wonton wrappers are supposed to have a filling! We complained to the restaurant and they fobbed us off saying they needed to wait for the restaurant manager to return to refund us. They never got back to us. Also complained to Just Eat who have absolutely no clue about Chinese cooking because they gave us an excuse that recipes ‘may vary’ . Utter tosh. Expensive rubbish. I cook Chinese food and I’m of Chinese descent. Go somewhere else.

So I complained about a dish that just contained fried empty wonton wrappers. Some contained meet but the majority didn’t contain meat. I asked for my money back and they said they would ask the manager when they got back in a few days. Clearly they were fobbing me off and didn’t get back to me. In addition, Just EAt whom we order through fobbed us off too since ‘recipes may vary’. Clearly no one has a clue about Chinese cooking at Just Eat. Overpriced and rubbish. Don’t eat here

Hot and sour soup very delicious! However the special meats with fried rice had the weirdest sauce with it I couldn’t figure it out! The lemon chicken with rice was very stale and the pineapples were disgusting with it.

The food was terrible! ! Hong Kong style char siew duck rice: the meat was dry and tough, as if it had been microwaved, the sauce on it was very salty and not Hong Kong style sauce at all. Zhizhu lamb brisket rice: Zhizhu is very hard, like chewing gum, and the lamb belly has no taste. Milk tea: There is no taste of tea, only the taste of milk and water. Not recommended at all, I don't know why the score is so high 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ Totally cheated! Will definitely not go again🙅🏻‍♀️

Took a trip to Bath from London, and this restaurant was really good. Staff are very friendly, the Singapore vermicelli and HK milk tea was really nice. I will definitely visit this restaurant next time I'm in bath!

Verbally abused on phone by angry delivery driver given wrong address by restaurant. Then again on my doorstep. No answer on their phone number to complain. Beware unless paying £30 to be shouted at is your thing.

Just had the best Crispy Chillie Beef and Rice. Husband had vegetable fried rice, and he ate the lot. Staff were very nice, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Would recommend East meets West to anyone

Genuinely the worst Chinese I have ever experienced. Food came out Luke warm, like it had been microwaved. We had noodles which were on par with a pot noodle. Have no idea how people have had a good experience here.

What an absolute find. The TripAdvisor reviews were not wrong, this is a wonderful restaurant. We ate early (6:30) and it was already busy with singles, couples and family’s. Small friendly restaurant with nice atmosphere, the staff are very attentive and the food is quite simply out of this world. We had the aromatic duck as a starter and the kung po Chicken and Beef in black bean as mains. A couple of drinks each and a bill of £70! Worth every single penny. The only downside is that we live to far away to visit on a regular basis. But I would thoroughly recommend East meets west and we will certainly visit again on our next trip to Bath.

One of the worst meals I have ever eaten. - The "crispy" seaweed wasn't blanched or had any sugar so it was just damp cabbage. (at £8!?) - The jug of tap water was completely full of limescale that was flaking back into the water. - The Singapore Rice used Mexican Jalapeno's instead of fresh chilli. Avoid at all costs. They also ask you to pay cash for a discounted rate...

I used to like this place. However, in the last order I place, there was a crispy lemon chicken. When it arrived, the dish wasn't complete and almost empty (photo). I call the restaurant and they implied that I was lying or wrong and that I got everything I ordered... £ 8.50 for a chicken dish missing the chicken... The only solution they offered, after arguing with them in a few calls, was just to give me a free lemon chicken with my next order, but they only deliver orders £ 20 or above, so I was being forced to pay £ 11.50 for their mistake in order to "fix" it. The worst of it was the guy I spoke to implying I lied and they made no mistake. So disappointed. AVOID.

Delicious spicy Chinese food, we had the lamb in chili oil and the belly pork slices cold starter, both were excellent. If you like that kind of Chinese food then ask for the Chinese menu, they might give you a menu with more Westernised Chinese dishes on when you first get there.

I must say if the prices were A LOT lower it would be full stars. For the price of £14 per dish, I could have had two and a half of the same dishes in Swansea. However, their food was sublime, it was all so tasty and tender. Perfectly cooked. Extremely fast considering we had duck, Japanese chicken and chicken curry. It tasted perfect. The best BBQ sauce my family had ever tasted. A very pleasant young lady served us. I would love to have given her a tip which I always do, but £70 is over double what we pay in Wales, but the fuel is cheaper here??? Anyway, it was a treat for the family, I don't begrudge paying for it, it was very nice here. And if we come again, we will spend there again. Clean tidy and delicious. Everyone goes by their places near home, this best all ours which are 1 star. We loved it.

The outside isn't particularly impressive, but don't let that put you off. This place is a gem that serves the best Chinese food I have tasted outside of China. I'm from London and there are some great places in Chinatown but this beats them all hands down. Enormous portions of delicious, authentic food. And they serve TsingTao beer! The kung po tofu was absolutely outstanding, slightly caramelised and in an moreish spicy sauce. It was a HUGE portion but I ate every last scrap. I will head straight there next time I'm in Bath!

So happy to be able to enjoy some authentic Chinese food in my stop in Bath. The variety of Chinese cuisine available is impressive and everything we ordered (皮蛋瘦肉粥、水餃、担担麵and others) tasted very good. Soya sauce fried noodle is especially recommended.

Food was superb - very flavoursome: the best crispy duck I’ve ever had. Waitresses were very amicable and the restaurant is open all day whereas most independent places in Bath close between 2:30 and 5:30!

Generous portions of excellent food. Service attentive without being intrusive could not understand why it was not full on a Saturday evening apart maybe for the location and the fact that our hotel and maybe others did not know it was there !

Really, quite good food. Very good pork and duck with rice and mapo tofu. Spicy and authentic flavours. The wonton noodle soup was a little different than I'm used to. Would have loved more pork and fat in the wontons. And the wonton noodles were quite thick. But staff were friendly and environment was nice! Would recommend trying :)
