Always rated this takeaway as the best Chinese takeaway in Tiverton, god knows wot they have done changed cooks or got someone who has no idea, myself and my wife had a takeaway from here n it was awful very bland starter was mix spare rib well over cooked, pancake rolls very greasy taste of nothing. We will NOT be going back.

Meal missing when we got home,quality of food not its usual standard.will try another Chinese next time.

I was looking for somewhere gluten free while away on our holiday and phoned the daily chef, they advised they are able to do gluten free dishes so we drove over and ordered our takeaway (with plenty of help from staff). The food was wonderful! Staff very helpful. My non coeliac family also said this was probably the best Chinese they ever had!

We use them if we ever have Chinese as they seem to be the best in Tivvy (and we have tried them all). Apart from having been given the wrong sauce a couple of times, the food is as good as can be expected from a take away.

We ordered some takeaway as we had got to Tiverton in the evening and were pretty tired. Had a noodle dish as well as a beef stir fry. The noodles weren't bad and there were quite generous chunks of meat. The beef was tasty but it's quite a small portion and didn't come with rice. Overall the food was tasty but a bit pricey for the portions.

Awful. Worst Chinese I've ever had. Poor quality and totally bland. I can't believe people have given honest reviews that are positive?!

Had a take out from here last week ... my partner enjoyed theirs more than I did , but was ok . We both commented that the portion size was on the small size ...

We ordered and arrived to pick up within the 20 minutes to be told it was not ready as they cook when you arrive - miraculously came out a few minutes later. Beef in black bean and green peppers was tepid, no flavour whatsoever. It tasted as if it had been made up from a watery packet mix. Prawn toast - prawns were cold but toast overdone. BBQ spare ribs - again cold. Totally unappetising. The overall feeling and texture was this had been removed from a fridge/freezer and microwaved (not even for long enough). £19.50 for this was awful. Yes, we did complain and were told we could come back with the food for a refund but it was a lesson learned.

Always good food, very amenable to adding ingredients (eg Chilli!) and helpful staff. We tend to pick up and the order has always been ready on time.

Been a customer of yours for a very long time. Last night we received two incorrect dishes. Called 40 times to notify you we had received the wrong dishes, but phone was off of the hook. Ended up eating 2 cold Chinese dishes, as we didn't like the 2 incorrect dishes received. Still starving after, not impressed. Also, spent £26 & no offer of prawn crackers. Phones this evening to see notify you of the issues we had from last night, your response, we should've driven back to send it back. We already had to drive to collect the Chinese & it was horrendous rain & wind & after calling so many times, we were quite frankly furious. Basically you couldn't care less. Advised you that we wouldn't be returning again, and again, you couldn't care less. What a joke!!! Will be going elsewhere for my Chinese from now on!

Fantastic Chinese food as always from the Daily Chef. Highest quality guaranteed, I wouldn't go to any other Chinese takeaway.

I love the orient in Tiverton but this is my second fave! Lovely cleanly cooked food, tasty And flavourful! Nice staff with really quick service too. Would recommend

Chose this chinese takeaway as it was close to my hotel. Good service when I chose special curry with boiled rice. Took chinese back to hotel and thoroughly enjoyed it although tbe cartons used for the curry and rice was smaller than what I am use too and the price was a little more than I normally pay for the same dish. Good food but a little more expensive and smaller portions to what I am use to 😊 If the portions were a little bigger I would of given 5 star!

Tonight I ordered a house special curry with rice. Full of flavour, absolutely delicious, friendly and the food was cooked promptly.

This is the Chinese me and my girlfriend use most in Tiverton. Good quality Chinese food, good menu, good price.

Shame. It was closed today. We were gutted. We had just come back from a family birthday party and fancied a Chinese. This Chinese takeaway is the best in Tiverton. Reasonably priced with a wide selection of dishes.

The Daily Chef continues to be the best chinese takeaway in town. The chicken curry (hot) is the best chinese curry I have ever tasted from a takeaway. Service in incredibly fast.

Excellent choice and food always freshly cooked, never had a reason to complain and dont think i ever will. Very reasonable prices and great service.

We ordered take-away, based on the reviews here. The food was really superb! We had crispy duck, beef with cashews, chicken fried rice - and spring rolls. Fair portions! Honestly, THE best chinese take away in Tiverton!

Had another fantastic meal supplied by the Daily Chef! House special curry, special fried rice, duck in plum sauce, pancake roll, sweet and sour ribs and Prawn crackers. Cooked beautifully, loads of meat in the dishes, well worth the visit!

Have been going here for years for the Sunday all you can eat. For the price it's perfect for getting people together for a lovely sunday meal. Lovely food and friendly staff.

Mi pareja y yo ha estado buscando un buen chino , y me encontré con esta comida para llevar, todo lo que puedo decir es ¡guau! Todo lo que pedimos estaba cocinado a la perfección incluso los crackers de gambas era increíble. Vivimos de Tiverton, a unos 12 km pero se viaja aquí más a menudo, creo que hemos encontrado nuestro chino regulares no puedo esperar a volver!

the best chinese takeaway in tiverton, good prices, great menu fab food. don't do delivery but thats not a problem, i order by phone and fetch my self and always ready in around 20 mins

Just always get a good meal, totally a take away, my family quite often have a chinese meal night where we each choose a dish then add rice and singapore noodles then we each have a bit of each dish, always been excellent

My first Take Away from Tiverton and it was excellent. I turned up just after 6pm last Wednesday, ordered and didn't even have time to read a complete article from a car magazine. All of the food was very tasty. Will be calling there again soon

Had the family over on saturday night, they thought they would like a chinese, we have tried most of the chinese take-outs in Tiverton, and to be honest they are OK, but not that impressive. We had seen the recent reviews on Trip advisor and thought that the daily chef would be worth a try, and boy we weren't disappointed.6 different meals ordered by phone, we were given a time of about 25 minutes, we drove into town and collected the food (they were full to bursting with foot traffic placing orders) but we still picked up our meals within the allotted time.We got home, unpacked the food, served it out and it was hot, and very tasty. Everyone agreed that it was the best that they had tried from Tiverton, so we will not be trying anywhere else in future. Thank you to the staff and chefs!!

This Chinese is by far the best in tiverton. Everything is hot and yummy! The service is quick and professional. We've tried most things and it's all worth a try! We hate it when they're shut or on holiday!!! Excellent Chinese takeaway. Price isn't the cheapest in the town but most would say its worth it.

Just had a meal from daily chef as our usual haunt gave us a bad experience last time and has stopped accepting card payments.What a feast! We ordered x2 chowmien, prawn toast, chicken balls with sweet and sour, prawn crackers and bbow ribs.Not only was the price cheaper and portions bigger but every mouthful was like a party in our mouths!The usual place can stick it! Daily chef all the way!Thank you for an amazing meal, you made my night.

Here in Tiverton on holiday. Read the reviews for this take away and gave it a try. Excellent service and great food. Four adults all trying different things. Loved the food, well cooked and generous portions. Would strongly recommend any visitors in need of a good Chinese to give the Daily Chef a try. The locals already know how good it is....

been coming here for many years its the only chinese takeaway in this town that i like has been consistently goood for 20+ years and will most probably continue with this good and averagly priced takeaway

Had a takeway from here, and will not be returning, despite the convenience of its location. Below aveage food, swiming in too much sauce. Sweet and sour chicken sauce not very nice, and serviced separately from the chicken.

we had a couple of bad experiences with chinese food in tiverton but decided to give the daily chef a try ,they only do takeaway at the moment its a pity but the takeaway is easily restaurant quality,sweet and sour chicken was great though could do with a little more sauce,special chow mein is so good, the kung po hot sweet and sour really is special.the portions are big and the price is very reasonable.what more can you ask.

If we want a chinese treat there's no other place than the Daily Chef, big portions, healthy options.

This is probably the best Chinese food you can buy in Tiverton, it is a relatively small place but it offers a quality takeaway, and probably the best crispy chilli beef you will ever come across. The chicken balls also come highly recommended.

MSG soaked food that is tasty, generous servings. Downside: no delivery.

Recomended by my mate when drop by to Tiverton. They used to open for sitting-in but now their restaurant side are closed. Fortunately, I think their take-away is still open for locals take-away. Fantastic food.
