I purchased a large order for my family and it arrived promptly. It was all freshly cooked and hot. Clearly not microwaved as previously suggested. We ordered a range of items and it was all delicious. Generous amounts of meat and vegetables in flavourful sauces. Granted the menu was similar to any other Chinese takeaway in the area but there was a good choice of meals. The Hong Kong Chicken and crispy chilli beef were my personal favourites but the satay skewers were also a hit. I will definitely be getting my usual Friday night takeaway from Wong’s House rather than a rival restaurant. Far nicer food and better prices. The bonus is that they also deliver.

I got prawn chow mein and to be fair there was a decent amount of king prawns in it. However, I suspect the food was microwaved not stir fried as it was nuclear hot and took a long time to cool down. Sad that they are taking short cuts like this.

Very impressed with our takeaway. Everything was very fresh and portions were generous (rice, prawns and chicken), thank you. I would definitely recommend Wongs House and look forward to our next meal from there.

Ordered for the first time. Food arrived later than said. Chicken balls Cold and seaweed burnt. Rest of food is soggy and I wouldn’t even feed to my dogs let alone kids! Manager insisted I bag it all up and will only refund once driver collects, which I’ve done…await driver whilst husband takes kids to get a pizza. Birthday evening ruined!

Have been using Wongs for many years and have found their food to be of a good standard and always enjoyable. It is a take away not a restaurant so I do not expect that standard.

Just felt like a takeaway and had not tried this place before , food was very tasty and delivered hot to the door although took a while as they seemed very busy. The starter to share was very good with perhaps the best spring rolls I have had for a long time. Certainly would recommend Wongs House for anyone wanting a tasty takeaway in the Calne area.

I couldn’t decide what to eat whilst staying overnight in Calne, the restaurant’s didn’t inspire me, I walked past Wong’s and decided on a takeaway. I ordered bbq ribs and mixed chow mien. Friendly staff and quick service. The food was lovely, not greasy as another review had said, and I’ve not had food poisoning as another said, I think they have upped their gain. Very reasonably priced too

In Vancouver, there are plenty of options for Chinese food, so I feel like I am spoiled. But this food was not good. It was very greasy and it didn't taste very fresh. The chicken was very rubbery and tasted like it had been reheated in a microwave. There aren't many places to go for food in Calne, but I wouldn't recommend this one. One positive, is that they are very quick. But I feel like it's because they have the food precooked and they warm it up at the time of your order.

Very poor bland beef chow mien and extremely dry chicken balls. Would not use again. Only positive from the experience was the speed of the delivery!

Assuming wongs house is also known as China wok as they share the same number 01249 815111 I ordered food which took 1hr 15 mins to be delivered . It was in the car ‘out for delivery’ for 45 minutes . It came cold and soggy and my children started eating whilst I called to complain . My son was violently sick after eating the chicken . The owner refused to take me seriously or refund me unless I gave him the food back untouched , when I explained I couldn’t do this he told me tough luck . I have used this company almost weekly and not had issues but today my son was ill because they were too busy to maintain standards . The food looked sloshy and tasted off . We didn’t eat our meal we literally tried a bit each (my son being sick really didn’t fill us with any confidence ) The staff were so rude and didn’t even care that their food resulted in my little boy throwing up Please avoid at all costs , I now have a very sick little boy and my other children now require feeding as haven’t had dinner . I am disgusted

I've been to Wongs House plenty of times in the past and food was always great but after me and my partner got a takeaway last night for valentines day we have both now been up all night with severe Food posioning which has meant we will both be loosing our pay from work for next couple of days. Have been a loyal customer for many years but unfortunately will not be returning again after this

We use this takeaway regularly, the menu selection is good & the food quality is good.The food is always fresh cooked to order & it is hot.The service is friendly & helpful and reasonably fast given that the food is cooked to order.We normally order by phone and pay by card.Parking outside the shop is plentiful We recommend this takeaway

Had the Prawn Chow Mein which was delicious. Prawn Fried Rice also excellent. Fast service and nice looking place.

We enjoy a decent take away from Wongs form time to time. Pricing is reasonable, served hot & quickly. Not always 100% but close enough to enjoy most of the. time

The food was good quality and very tasty. The guy on the desk taking orders needs to smile more, and be a bit happier though. Then it would be perfect.

Stopped off on a whim. Polite staff, reasonable price. Food was fine, good choice for a quick meal. Not going to win any awards but clean, convenient, tasty.

We visit Wongs Chinese Takeaway at least once a week, it is a fast alternative to cooking at home!. The menu selection is excellent. The food is freshly cooked to order, we live about 1/2 mile away, the food is always piping pot & ready to serve when we get home. The staff are welcoming & helpful.Church Street has plenty of free parking, so this is not a problem especially when its raining

Came back from holiday to lazy to cook, not often we have take away, six of us had a selection of dishes from, sweet and sour, crispy duck, pork fried rice, Singapore chow mien all of which were full of flavour and very tasty.Will certainly be trying Wongs House next time we order a take away.

If you fancy a night is with a takeaway, you can't go wrong with a Chinese takeaway from Wongs House. The food is always good quality and staff happy to make up something that is not on the menu

Got a takeaway from this restaurant last night. The quality of the food was very poor and my husband and I weren't very well afterwards. Very disappointing mid-week "treat" and would not recommend!

On the whole, food is of a very good standard. Have had some bad experiences with the delivery side though - always items missing, wrong meals sent and their delivery estimates are way of the mark.I like that they will cook things for you that are not on their menu and highly recommend their ban ribs - very meaty with a rich tasty sauce, best I've ever had anywhere!

We have tried all of the Chinese takeaways in town and this one is definitely the best. We have been regulars for around ten years now and have many favourites on their menu. The prices have crept up lately, but are still in line with other takeaways. They offer the usual phone and order so you can collect or a delivery service. You can order a delivery over the phone or on-line. It can get busy on Friday and Saturday evenings and it is unrealistic to expect your food to be cooked and delivered within 20 minutes. We are aware that is may take around 30/45 minutes for a delivery at these busy times and take this into account when ordering. The food always arrives piping hot and freshly cooked. The staff are always pleasant and helpful and will accommodate fussy eaters. They are happy to omit a certain ingredient from meals or change things to suit your palette. The food itself is very tasty and of a high standard. And they have a huge range of choice on the menu so there is always plenty that everyone likes.

Great food, but a bit expensive. Definitely worth it when you want to treat yourself, but as things are getting more expensive these days, so is this great Chinese take-away.

Been going here for our Chineses for a good 5 years, best one round town. Go there for good quality, Chinese takeaway. They also deliver with anything over £22

Use Wongs House take away all of the time, really good quality and great value. Only downside us when ordering over the phone you get the standard, 'it will be ready in 15-20 minds', it never us and recently I have waited almost an hour...

We have used this Chinese now for a couple of months, it came recommended to us by a friend, we were sceptical, as the last Chinese we had used in Calne had deteriorated quite badly.The first meal we had was a set meal for two....excellent value for money and good quality food, so we'd found our 'new' Chinese take away! I can honestly say that every meal we have had from here.....and we have one most weekends....has not failed to be excellent, fantastic flavours, good and warm and superb value. The staff ate friendly and are now used to our quirky ways, thanks guys for great service.In a nutshell......in our opinion the BEST CHINESE IN CALNE......

all the usual dishes. Nothing special to write home about. But if you are familiar with a chinese takeaway menu then they probably serve it.
