The best restaurants serving Chinese food in South West

Fab-u-lous Had a wonderful meal here tonight with my gorgeous husband. Food was excellent - really really tasty and lots of it. Service was warm and friendly. Lovely family atmosphere - which made our evening! Would highly recommend and will definitely be back. Thank you so much.

Sadly not a good meal. The soup was so thick and strong had to be watered down to eat. All the sauces so thick and stale. Meat obviously just added and not really cooked in sauce. So disappointed. However the staff were nice friendly and helpful

We, a group of 4 adults just came back from a meal in The Great Wall Chinese Restaurant in town. We arrived at around 1815 hrs, found ourselves a table as there was only 1 staff serving while the other staff was busy answering the phone. It took a while to be served. We ordered the dishes and Chinese tea for 4. As time went by, the restaurant was filling-up with eat-in customers and the phone was forever ringing. People came in to pick up bags of takeaway food, delivery drivers came and went with delivery bags. An hour on, we could not see any food served on any table. We had the tea refilled a few times during this time but had to chase the whereabout of the teapot once the staff took it away. At the end, my sister had to approach the staff at the counter to raise our concern as it was already over an hour and there was no sign of any food. The staff apologized and went to chase the order in the kitchen. When the food arrived, one of the dishes was not what we ordered--special fried rice(dry) but we were given house fried rice(wet)! The staff insisted that was the way they cooked it. When I checked the bill against the prices on the menu, the tea was over charged and one dish was not the one we ordered! We were so fed up with the chaotic situation, we couldn't be bothered to argue but just wanted to leave. What an experience! We would definitely not going back!

Had Takeway, not great food, Curry was watery, Singapore chowmein was bland . had other dishes and none that good. Only decent bit was the ribs. Will not go back.

Great quality takeout food, friendly staff easy to order on the website can be busy some evenings but food always freshly prepared.

We got a takeaway to eat at a local resort we were staying at and all the food was amazing and great value!! Highly recommend!!

DREADFUL FOOD. The worst chinese food I have ever had - awful!! Bland and tasteless, LOTS of fried onions. Soup tasteless, 'seaweed' greasy. Watery tasteless main and rice solid........l could go on. A complete waste of money!! Avoid at all costs!!

I won a table at the eat for free vegan night. I’m a vegetarian and brought along my vegan friend and 2 meat eating friends. The food was amazing, you wouldn’t even know half of it was vegan. There were two pages of vegan food options in the menu, so plenty of choice. My favourite was the jackfruit, super crunchy and flavoury. I have just moved back to the area, so will definitely be back. Thank you

The food turned up in a timely manner, but regardless it tasted disgusting. It was bland as anything tasted like reheated frozen meals. I woke up angry the next day even thinking about it the chicken didn’t even taste like chicken.

Estuve aquí dos veces esta semana ya mientras estaba de vacaciones. Es absolutamente delicioso. Personal muy amable y comida increíble. Porciones masivas de fabulosa comida china. Ojalá fuera en nuestra ciudad natal. Limpiar impecablemente un crédito a los propietarios. No hay nada que fallar de todos modos.

Contrary to the previous review…. This couldn’t be a better Chinese. I’ve dined here twice this week!! The owners are currently on holiday and the lady running it in their absence is an absolute delight!! I ordered a crispy chilli chicken extra spicy, extra saucy and no carrot and while it was explained to me that the current cooking team speak very little English and are understaffed they managed to achieve every edit!! It’s a shame reviews like the previous one arrive on Google because they can’t fathom that there are other things going on in the world that aren’t a direct influence on their life!! Please if you order from any food outlet or hospitality business be concious that there are million other things going on behind the scenes and while these people make a living from cooking for you and serving you! They also do it in kitchens that rise to over 60 degrees heats and because they love to make other people happy!! I couldn’t recommend Yau’s anymore than this!! A fellow chef and restaurateur!!

Ordered a takeaway meal of various items. It was all very salty, not what I expected. Could not finish it all. Required a lot of liquid to quench our thirst. Have been ordering food from here for 15 years, first time a meal has dissapointed us. The only part of The meal that was OK was the Singapore noodles.

Always get our takeaway from here and always been fantastic so for our anniversary we decided to try the restaurant. It was a Wednesday so only ones there but there was a constant flow of take aways. Service great and food perfect. Will be back on our next occasion

Me and my friends are regular customers and they always throw in prawn crackers. They must have a new staff called Nicola and because we were £1.70 off the £30 she said no. We’ve always have been given these. When I questioned it she was abrupt, rude…absolutely shocking after we’ve spent so many orders with my friends at china kitchen. Terrible customer experience.
