New Panda Chinese in East Dorset

First and last time I order from here, I ordered 2 chicken noodle soups and a spring roll the order came out as the soups and shredded smoked chicken and end up having to argue that I didn't order chicken eventually got what was expected, then asked to pay extra and I said they owed me money eventually got it sorted, when I got home the spring roll was bean shoots and only bean shoots the chicken noodle soups to say the least I have stronger dishwater than those and the hot and sour was so hot it was unbearable definitely will not be going back.

We had an excellent take-away. The food is consistently very good hence with plenty of choice in this area this is the Chinese which we use.

Good fresh food, on time a pleasant staff. I’ll come again 👍

We were on holiday in the area and chose New Panda as it was nearby. We really enjoyed our meal here. So much so, we went there twice. Very well cooked, especially the chow mein. Would definitely go back again if we're in the area.

just has 2 person meal. couldn't eat the Pork Balls. it would ha e taken 2 weeks to chew them. everything else was stewed. worst Chinese meal we have every eaten. don't waste your money

Ordered a takeaway. Panda Special Spare Ribs were terrible, flavourless sauce and tough, nearly all bone. Chicken with water chestnuts was tasteless and the chicken was debateable!. Roast Duck Fried Rice was was poor. Very poor.

We order quite often. Tonight for a change I ordered Singapore noodles (number 47) nothing like the picture on the menu. No prawns, no peppers just brown, brown, brown chicken and noodles, very bland!! Called and complained and got told I got the worst batch of 3 that were cooked!!! Was offered a discount next order?? I am hungry tonight so asked for my usual of chicken and peppers in black bean. Had to wait another 40 mins to swap meals as the manager wanted the noodles back uneaten!! Hope they weren’t reheated and sent back out!! Why can’t you just get a good Chinese?

Best place in town to get a Chinese takeaway in my opinion

The prices here have gone up a lot. We were using their previous menu and the bill was 33% higher this time so way more than inflation. The food arrived and was really disappointing. The noodles and panda special lacked flavour, the sweet and sour had a few tiny pieces of chicken. Definitely not worth it for us!

Ordered last night. Said 45 mins but took hour and 15 which wasn’t end of world! Food was really bland and flavourless. Ordered chow mein and tasted like minimal seasoning on it really no flavour at all. Chicken and black bean a bit bland too. Spring rolls nothing special taste like ones you’d buy from Iceland and fry yourself. Egg fried rice was standard as well as chicken balls so no complaints with that! Probably would order from Christchurch new city and just do the drive if I want a good Chinese next time.

Absolutely awful chicken it's like the pre cooked chicken you buy from Iceland waste of money won't be calling in here again absolute rubbish no taste lack of quality ingredients

Don't listen to the whingy reviewers. We live locally now and New Panda is a fantastic take away. We eat take away from here regularly and it is always gorgeous. The staff are friendly and polite and I have never had an issue. Perhaps it is the way you treat people. I am friendly and polite and get the same service back.

Psndas food is great However when it comes to a chow mein they are heavy on the noodles and low on the meat I'm not a vegetarian Noodles are not my thing!

Very disappointing! Mushroom and egg fried rice very dry, no taste and curry sauce bland and watery! On this experience I would not recommend.

Really disappointed. Ordered the food at 6.30pm and told it would be 40 minute wait. It got to 7.25pm and I rung to see where the food was. Told the driver was round the corner. Got to 7.45pm and I rung again. The guy wouldn't talk to me and handed me over to a woman, who I presume is the owner/manager. She had no idea where our delivery was, rung the driver and was told it would be with us shortly. Finally received our delivery at 8pm. I fully appreciate takeaways are busy on a Friday night but I don't appreciate being lied too about the times and being passed over to the manager when I'm asking a simple question. I wasn't rude at any point. We won't be using this business again.

First ever visit to this restaurant tonight. Was very happy to sit for a few minutes listening to the Wok action in the kitchen Always worries me when your food is handed to you 15 secs after ordering & your heart sinks knowing there’s little chance of it being fresh My ‘suspicions’ were happily confirmed on dishing up - Chow Mein smelled wonderful (not of rancid oil as is so often the case in other places) with fresh crunchy bean sprouts, strips of perfectly cooked pork & onions running through. Tasted amazing too of course Chicken Satay skewers similar, sauce just the right consistency and spiciness & again, fresh strips of pepper & onion rounding off the experience Perfect! Thank you Panda Team, had given up hope of finding a decent version of my weekend take-away favourites. Will be back again & again

First visit and pleasantly surprised. Prompt and pleasant service, takeaway was not greasy and meat was good quality with no gristle. Will most certainly return.

We patronised this place a couple of times during a recent holiday. Both times we ordered directly in the shop. Food was tasty and fresh, everyone enjoyed it. I was shocked to find mushrooms in my chicken currey (argh! we dont get mushrooms in our curries in Glasgow!) but it was easy enough to fish them out!

Been using this place for 20 years . will probably use it for next 20 unless I move home even though it is not the closest take away to me

Served a Vegetarian MEAT!!! Didn't apologise when kindly requested for us to have what was ordered (Tofu).. to be told “were busy”. They would not replace the meal and provide what we paid for. My brother went without dinner. Watched everyone else eat as theirs would have got cold. My mum had to drive back to the restaurant to receive her £7 back in cash as they would not deliver or fix their error. They also refused to provide a replacement or cook the correct meal.. because they were busy? Completely ruined a family evening. Serving a Vegan meat breaches the equality act 2010 as it fails to accommodate a legally protected belief, Veganism. I will be taking this further as they can have their licence removed. Failure to appropriately replace or accommodate. Horrendous customer service .. given the wrong food to be told Tough as they are busy. To vegetarians who buy here, I was question what you’re eating!!!! Disgusting.

Absolutely terrible. Handing a vegetarian meat, and saying just deal with it, no refund, no replacement ,vegetarian had to just sit and watch while everyone ate as they refused to give any money back or replacement.avoid at all costs as all dietary requirements are clearly ignored

The food is good, but the price now is extortionate. Can't belive what we paid tonight against what we received. I know we all have to pay more for things now, but I found this rediculas. We paid £8.60 for a starter. 4 of the smallest spring rolls I have ever seen, if you can call them spring rolls as there was no filling in any if them.

My wife and I have been customers for several years and have always been impressed with the quality (and quantity) of the food. For example, King Prawns are always better than most other places we've tried. The service is always friendly and efficient too. It's our 'go-to' takeaway.

I ordered a takeaway which took an hour and half later. My curry was congealed, prawns soggy, I had a few mouthfuls but inedible. I awoke early am & spent 24 hours with f&v.

Ordered a takeaway last night, a busy Saturday. Was told 40mins for delivery! And the food arrived as promised in just under the 40 mins, piping hot and delicious! The salt and pepper squid was the best I've had. Great service and top food, thank you.

I think i will feed it to my dogs but it might upset their tummies. £54, i may aswell have bought scrathcards and lost that way. The non salty and peppery chicken wing must taken from a new born chick, the crispy chilli beef was as spicy asa bottle of tomato ketchup, kung po pork looks like a pig swimming in cashew nuts, not worth wasting any more words on the rest of the dishes. What a waste of money but more to the point now ive got to cook at home. Strongly recommend avoing this place. 👌

We love Panda Chinese. The food is always wonderful and the service great. Would highly recommend. My only disappointment is that the debit card machine always seems broken!

Tried to order over the phone and pay by card and we were told cash only for delivery. You missed out on thirty plus pounds. Considering covid you would of though card would of been easier and safer.

First time we tried here (usually go to China Town in Ringwood). I preferred all the dishes here apart from automatic duck, still good, but not quite as good as Ringwood duck. Prawn balls, Kung po chicken, ribs were very good and they deliver so defo will be ordering from here again!

Ordered this on recommendations through others. It was quite simply the worst Chinese takeaway we’ve had in years. The food was over an hour late and they forgot my wife’s food. We called up and they said they can’t delivery the meal and will give us discount next time and put the down phone, incredible! The remaining food was freezing cold and some didn’t even feel like it had been cooked. Avoid at all costs.

I have been using Panda for many years. I orderd over £50 worth of food for a special family meal and was not impressed. The chips were hard, food was not to the normal standard,I mean serioustly if you cant cook a chip whats the point?

Tried to order.. Chicken balls w’ curry sauce £5.50 2 X peking soup £6.20 Chips £2.20 £13.90 + £1 delivery = £14.90 total as the menu states I was asked for £15.90 over the phone and I would’ve dropped it but I only had £15.03 in the account so I was working to the penny.. I asked if I could possibly just pay £15 for the food itself as it’s £15 for free delivery and I’m only 0.9 miles away. This was clearly to much to ask for. Quality service 👌

Ordered this evening at 7pm and was told it would be 45 minutes. Over 2 hours later we were still waiting for our food! Very difficult to get through to the restaurant on the phone, when they did answer I was hung up on and had to call back. When I complained about how long our food was taking I was passed to a lady who I assume was the manger. She was rude and not very apologetic. When I asked for a discount as we had been waiting for over 2 hours she said that everyone had been waiting that long……not exactly something you want to advertise! Anyway, finally agreed on a discount and was told we couldn’t order from there again! To be honest after that service I wasn’t planning to anyway! The food finally arrived and it was pretty bland to be honest. Average food that definitely wasn’t worth the 2 hour + wait.

Absolutely ridiculous how an order took over 2 hours to arrive!!!! After phoning they gave 0.40 pence discount... Not acceptable and very disapointed that they did not offer to offer a voucher....not happy at all

Ordered nearly £40 of food, was told cash only, replied cancel my order, could then miraculously take a card. No food for over an hour, had to call to chase. Another 30 minutes and food arrived. However was missing the sweet and sour sauce. Had to call back again and argued with them for 10 minutes I was missing the sauce. Was asked repeatedly to recheck the bag. Why would I call to say I was missing the sauce if I had it????. Finally got to eat 2hours after ordering when sweet and sour sauce delivered. I have never has such bad service. Food and service is usually very good. Won’t be returning there again.

Having tried this restaurant a couple of years ago I was really looking forward to ordering from here whilst staying in the area. We had planned to have a delivery but we couldn't get through on the phone so hubby went to order in person. He had to wait quite some time for our meal but I think this was down to being busy. The meal tasted much better than it looked, except for the chips. They looked like yesterday's reheated chips. Very dry and chewy. The portions are very large so we had enough for another meal later in the week. We will definietly be ordering again when in the area. One star removed for the chips.

This Chinese use to be very good. One thing the special fried rice was nice. BBQ ribs tastless. Chichen in a hot sauce, very dry the chicken. Need a better chat up line the fella in the counter talk Chinese to the woman! Surprising what I understand in Chinese!

Ordered rice noodles, was told id ordered rice and was refused a replacement and instructed to "just try it its nice" as though im a child. Ordered roast duck that was presented as a healthy looking sliced up duck breast on the menu but came in a tub shredded up and full of disgusting sludgy gravy. Ordered stir fried veg and was given a tub full of shoots with 2 tiny mushrooms and 2 small pieces of broccoli in a questionable gloopy clear liquid. The order should have been £16 with free delivery but was charged £18 and although the person on the phone apologised sarcastically they did not care to rectify the order for a previously repeat customer. Will not order from here again.

Normally excellent , though todays Chinese chicken that should have had a bed of bean sprouts and onions was really lacking in both tonight , the normal prawn crackers that accompany the meal was also missing , a great shame , please don’t let your standards slip !

Was looking for a chinese takeaway with delivery near Wimborne and we found New Panda, Ferndown. Arrived well within the time they said, the food was hot and delicious and the order was totally correct. I would definitely recommend them!

Worst Chinese meal I've had in years. Spare ribs - tough Fried rice - tasteless Chow mein - meat tough & tasteless. Is Panda a franchise? Thank goodness I don't live near here as never again.

We had a takeaway delivered to our holiday site. Takeaway was delivered to the reception where we collected. Was all the things you want from a takeaway, hot, tasty and plentiful.

It was alright, we had grilled duck chow mein which was bit blend but duck was cooked good.

First time customer for this place and what a treat. Delicious food. Nothing was too greasy or too salty. The Chicken in yellow bean was so flavourful and the chicken satay skewers had a perfect amount of heat to them. Absolutely fantastic. The food was made even better due to the friendly staff on the telephone when I ordered and the equally friendly staff who delivered. I would thoroughly recommend this place and will certainly indulge again.... once I am feeling a little less full!!!

I have not ordered from here since earlier this year but what we had was first class. Definitely the best Chinese takeaway in Ferndown. I really wish they would sort out an online ordering system or at the very least, keep an updated menu on their website.

Best Chinese takeaway I have ever had! Every dish tasted different and the spicy dishes had a good kick with fresh chilis. The Chow Mein was excellent and Chicken was good quality! Food was still hot on delivery thanks to insulated bag the driver used....

Chinese is not normally my go to takeaway but tried this place and wasn’t disappointed at all. Huge potions of tasty food. The panda specials (chow main and rice dishes) were huge and great value for money and not too greasy at all.

Best Chinese Takeaway in the area by a long shot. Food is always piping hot and freshly cooked while you wait. I don’t trust delivery services for any restaurant, so always best to collect. No Sodium Glutamate is even better. Try the Duck in Orange...

We are staying in wimborne minster and ordered for delivery. We found the service very friendly, the food was excellent. Big portions and hot. Delivered in about 30 mins. Highly recommend.

Had a beef curry last night disappointed as meat was tough and tasteless such a disappointment.
