Peking Chinese Food in East Dorset

Had a lovely Birthday Chinese last night, very tasty and filling! Make sure you take cash though as they don't take card payments. Apart from that a very good meal and a very polite young lady on the front desk :)

Portions size are great. Food is great too

It was the only nearby chinese open on bank holiday but we were pleasantly surprised. Excellent food and fast friendly service.

Being a Monday night the usual Chinese takeaway was shut so we thought we would give the Peking a go as it was open. I have to say in all my years it was the worst chinese food I have ever tasted and I'll eat anything! The chicken balls tasted like they were not cooked at all and soft/doey and the Chicken curry was disgusting I had to leave it. I have no idea what it was but it wasn't chicken! I have never given a bad review ever but but felt I had too with this one. Stay away from this Takeaway it shouldn't be trading!

Sorry after many years of using this place,the last 2 times standards have fallen Later time we had Cantonese sour modge (no sweet) and this time sweet and sour modge .Both were supposed to be chicken. Will have to try other places.

Used this takeaway for last 18months been amazing..went tonight absolutely awful..food was tasteless even prawn crackers. Chicken curry was not chicken it was Tofuu..crispy beef was just goo...so disappointed..Will not be returning

Bad experience raw chicken balls. Raw chicken in the chilli chicken dish rice was very bland egg stodgy. I called the establishment to complain the lady was very rude no offer for a refund. Told me to bring the food back which I am not prepared to do as my children spat it out. Absolutely shocking food and service. They will kill somebody with food poisoning.

Love this place to bits, lovely little family owned business. Geat food, there's a dish for everyone I can guarantee it!! Would highly recommend!

Getting pricey but probably true for most takeaways. The boxes are packed full and not swamped with sauce. All very tasty. One quirk is it's cash or cheque only. So I wrote my first cheque in years! Easy parking in the long layby.

Ordered as usual Chinese was shut. Took a while to be delivered and it wasn't enjoyable. Crispy beef was stodgy. Spring rolls were greasy and not crispy. Chicken was tasteless and didn't look like chicken, stringy / rubbery consistency.

Chicken curry was inedible the chicken tasted raw and slimy and the sauce was tasteless. Chow mein was ok. Ribs were ok

Love the food here. Sammie is great. Always served with a smile. I have tried other Chinese take aways in the area but they’re no where near as nice. Lovely.

Very boring and bland Chinese. Probably one of the worst I've eaten. Literally no flavour. The prawns were huge which was good. Delivery was 40mins which is perfectly fine. Polite staff. I wouldnt visit again.

Worst Chinese food I've ever had, incredibly bland food, a lot of fat on the scant amount of meat, even the egg fried rice was bad. Staff were polite and delivery was prompt.

Very nice dishes, lots of meats (duck and chicken both lovely)however some of the sides let the menu down. Chips are nice. Seaweed was lovely. However the ribs, not so much. Curry sauce was very plain. Overall I would give this meal a 6.0 /10, pretty average. Not many prawn crackers. Though they are free :) Full but not quite satisfied. Ps. Fortune cookie was a nice touch.

Food wasn't great, we were disappointed. BBQ ribs were not in a BBQ sauce, it was a just a salty red luminous liquid, tried to eat them but could'nt. The singapore rice noodles had no heat to them or much flavour at all. The prawn rice prawns were not good, tasted like they had freezer burn. The curry sauce had little flavour, mainly tasted like cornflour or whatever it was thickened with. The beef in cashew was ok as was the sweet and sour chicken and crispy seaweed. Sorry guys but need to be honest.

Probably the worse Chinese takeaway I have had. Not sure what the meat was, ordered chicken but questionable. Would not recommend.

Food is disgusting chicken curry with thick lumpy cold and congealed rice come out as one block cold tricking balls were doughy pineapple fritter was diary with no sauce

Haven’t had a Chinese in ages and decided to try this one as most takeaways are still closed during the pandemic... I ordered over the phone, the lady I spoke to was very polite and quick and relayed my order back to me, she informed me that the current wait for delivery was an hour and a half, I wasn’t too worried about that as I ordered in plenty of time for dinner, plus with not many restaurants open during this time I was expecting a wait... food arrived piping hot, best Chinese I’ve had in ages! The sweet and sour chicken balls are amazing! Thank you Peking, we will return soon!

If my father knew the difference between the number 108 and 105 then we would have loved this meal but it was annoying also took half an hour longer than I expected which is why I go for 4 stars but otherwise still very nice and am going to order many more times here

First time we've used this take-away and the food, service and price is excellent. We had a set menu for two and everything was superb - too much to eat in one go even for us! We will be regular customers from now on.

Our favourite Chinese in the area!

Absolutely disgusting food, hard chips , curry sauce taste of gravey also the bbq sauce with spare ribs is gritty with a gravy taste but the meat on the ribs was very strange , fatty and didnt taste like meat , found 3 hairs in the bbq sauce , all ended up in the bin an wouldn't order with this place ever again , can get a tin of dog food for cheaper an better taste !!

Picked up a take away after a visit to the theatre, have used Peking before, hence our choice, regrettably the food lacked flavour. I will give it one more chance, hopefully I caught them on a bad night.

We ordered a takeaway from here last week when my brother and his family came to visit. Even though its walking distance from our home it's still our favourite Chinese takeaway in Ferndown. My brother and sister-in-law lapped up their dishes. Their food is always cooked using fresh vegetables, which are crunchy and not overcooked or soggy. You get a free bag of prawn crackers if you spend over a certain amount. We are consistently happy with our orders from there.

Was told to collect in 25 mins , arrived within time said an had to wait another 20 mins , food an service has gone down hill here , won’t be using again , bbq sauce is appalling an chow mien very tasteless and dry and meat seems more processed , have wondered why Chinese places never offer card payment?

Very disappointing, family here and we decided on a take away and going by good reviews on here, we chose here. Tasteless food it advertised no bones in the Duck and i broke a tooth on a bone. We did not bother to drive all the way back to complain as it was a long way from where we were staying. The duck should have been checked properly . Has cost me a trip to the dentist !

Probably the worst Chinese food we've had in years. Chicken pumped full of water and sugars thats its gelantinous. No taste to any of the dishes. Small portions compared to other takeaways. Sorry to leave such a poor review but this is awful quality.Such a waste of money.

We never, ever order Chinese from anywhere else. They simply cannot be bettered - for food and for service.

Went here last week just as a change due to having quite a few Chinese take aways near us, and we weren't disappointed. The food was quick and cooked to perfection. We will definitely go back.

After not having had a Chinese meal for over a year, we decided to treat ourselves to a takeaway. Will definitely go elsewhere next time - this was bland and tasteless; never in my life have I still been hungry after a Chinese. I just didn't want to eat any more.

We ordered something very simple, chicken chow mein, sweet and sour chicken ball, 1/4 duck and bbq ribs. The sweet and sour sauce and bbq sauces were so watered down the was just no flavor, the batter on the chicken was under cooked, and the duck came already shredded, and it was so dry, it was inedible, sorry guys, need to do better, we'll keep our business elsewhere...

Special fried rice was excellent. chow main was very salty. Deliverd in promised time. thanks you peking chinese

Had a takeaway from here for the first and last time. Chicken chewy. Other dishes tasted insipid. Most dishes seemed like a big re-heat. Will use other takeaways in future, even if they are further away.

Lovely take away food. Very quick for delivery. Staff always pleasant over the phone. Have ordered quite a few times and always been happy.

Will never be going bk here again the food has gone down hill since I last went. House special rice had so much pepper no one would eat it & sauce on Chicken balls was like water, , and chicken balls themselves were over cooked & batter round them was not crispy at all & food was tastless. Even the kids didnt like it most of food went in the bin Very disappointed
