We had a really delicious meal from Red Panda this evening. Couldn't fault it. We will definitely order from here again.

Father's Day evening takeaway, for four ordered over the phone, fast efficient and very nice. Thank you. Highly recommended.

Violently ill after eating the pork chow mein. The pork on closer inspection looked like it had been reheated time and time again. See photo. On my expierence i would say avoid at all costs. My partner ordered prawn chow mein and when we got it home found it was prawn fried rice. So not good all round.

This was so good we came back within the week. Issy was brilliant, hopeful, efficient and knowledgable. Can't rate it high enough.

Red Panda - Callington Staff friendly and great customer service. Staffed well and knew their menu. Food cooked to order - prepare to wait Car park in Callington - next to B&M - free after 4.30pm ish. Walk around the corner to Red Panda about 5 minute walk.

We've had several very nice takeaway meals at The Red Panda, so the disappointment was amplified by the very sub standard one we received the other day. It felt overcooked, stale and tasting like it had been cooked earlier and reheated. The pork balls were like eating cardboard and a noodle dish actually had a clump of completely uncooked noodles. Most of £30 order went in the bin, and left us feeling very confused how such a good restaurant could have got it so wrong.

Decided we should have a family Chinese whilst on Holiday. Booked Red Panda. Had a nice table all ready for us when we arrived, serving staff were very friendly and polite, drinks and food arrived as you would expect, and with 8 different meals ordered, everyone was happy with their meal. We had a mixture of dishes, chicken curry, duck chow mein, king prawns, beef with mushrooms all very tasty.

Spotlessly clean, lovely attentive staff, the food was super hot and fresh, beautifully decorated. Not a huge restaurant which we liked but will certainly be going back. It was quite pricey in comparison to the takeaway menu but was well worth the visit. I went with a "foodie" friend and she too was very impressed !!

Visited here last evening after a few of our friends suggested how good the food was. We were not disappointed, lovely staff, very attentive and most importantly great food served in a really comfortable , pleasant atmosphere. Can't believe we missed this little gem for so long whilst living just 8 miles away. Their food is DELICIOUS ! We'll be back very soon ...

This review conflates an initial takeaway order followed by a visit to the restaurant. In both cases we experienced friendly service and our order came quickly. Portion sizes were good and flavours were great. I am not sure that the in-restaurant prices are the cheapest but I suppose you get what you pay for.

We picked up a take away menu in the week but decided to go in and eat instead. We wondered why we were the only people in there through the duration of our meal. The answer became clear when we received the bill. Takeaway price for food was £53 in the restaurant £84. Beef in black bean sauce went from £6.50 to £10.80 for instance. £5 for egg fried rice , £3.30 for a small point of Hoisen sauce,just laughable. Food was decent not great, staff friendly but just do NOT inside. I think all the locals have worked that out already.

Me and my family ordered from this Chinese this weekend and it was delicious. We got it delivered and the food was still hot on arrival. Every dish was really nice and we had no complaints. Will be ordering from them again.

This a a gem of a place we came across whilst on holiday The food was fantastic , tasty , hot and freshly cooked and plenty of it . we went for the buffet menu ( Tuesday-Thursday ) Eat as much as you like , but you will get charged if you leave alot of food . you can order as many starters from a very good selection , this was followed by duck and pancakes , followed by a main and a side ( you can order more if you finish ) £23 ish was good value for money If your down that way and want chinese this is a must visit

Ordered here many times including dining in, collection and delivery, and not once have we had any issues. Delivery is always a lot quicker than expected and we've never had anything missing, the food has been spot on and piping hot. Recently we ordered and collected food and the service for both our order being taken and the food coming out were excellent, so fast and efficient and very friendly.

We are currently on holiday near to Callington and fancied a take away. Reviews online suggested this Chinese take away and it didn’t disappoint!! The food was great and the portion sizes were really good! We all really enjoyed our meal!

They never fail to please us with their cuisine. Good portion sizes, pipping hot takeaways and absolutely scrummy. Very reasonable prices too..

Good quality Chinese takeaway. Very friendly both on the phone and in person. Food wasn’t greasy (as so often is the case with some Chinese takeaway places). Have been a couple of times and the food is consistent.

We have not been here for years and it was pretty awful last time but OMG what a transformation. Delicious food, freshly prepared and served nice and hot. Portions are huge for an average eater. Excellent service with the Take Away being ready on time. We plan to make regular visits now that we have rediscovered this restaurant. Thank you so much.

Don’t be deceived by the outside, you could easily walk by this place and miss out on one of the best Chinese meals you’ll have for a good long time. We visited with family who live locally and told us we had to try this place as was so good, they wernt wrong. They are lucky to be able to call this their local Chinese. We had the buffet menu, all the food was served super quick, piping hot and ridiculously tasty. Like really really tasty. The red panda spring rolls and the honey soy chicken were truly stand out dishes. Service was efficient and friendly. Would 10/10 recommend and can’t wait to go back.

We are in holiday in the local area and really fancied a chinese meal. We are so glad we chose Red Panda. There were 5 of us and we opted for the buffet. The food was absolutely delicious. The curry I had was honestly the best one that I have had. The test of my family could not fault the food that they opted for. My biggest praise however is for the staff. They could not have been more friendly. Always checking if we wanted more food or drink. Once they discovered we were on holiday they spent ages advising places to visit with our 5 year old. If you like chinese food DEFINATELY visit Red Panda

Haven't been back for a while but you have to love this place. Very reasonably priced and great food. We only have the seafood dishes so can't comment on meat etc.but we find these very good for the area. Singapore noodles worthy of a mention.

We have used this restaurant for a takeaway three times now and really cannot fault it. We've twice had the set meal for 2 and the third time we chose from the menu. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is some of the best chinese we've had - excellent.

Had the Banquet for two on many occasions, absolutely first class. Plenty to eat. Very tasty. So pleased we live just about 5 minutes walk away

Great Chinese restaurant and takeaway. We always enjoy coming here the staff are always polite and friendly. The salt and chilli squid is delicious as well as many other dishes. We will be back soon.

We have recently dined at The Red Panda in Callington, it was a Saturday evening and they were quite busy. We were lucky to be able to get a table. Service was good and the food delicious.

Got a takeaway for my birthday and while the king prawns and beef dishes we well received my Special Fried Rice was disappointing, basically just egg fried rice with a few pieces of chicken and pork and possibly prawns with a few slices of chicken and pork on the top, no mushrooms, no bean sprouts, no water chestnuts and just a few peas, it normally comes with a bbq sauce which I refused, but maybe it's added to disguise the fact that there is not much else in it, needless to say will not be returning, oh yes and cash only, sure it didn't used to be, glad we didn't have a large order.

Got a takeaway while staying at the long barn holiday cottages. Food was good, portions large and did not take too long

The staff are rude especially management, get orders wrong despite making the order clear 3 times and being refused to return the meal for the correct one we ordered! We were forced to eat something completely different and it was disgusting. We will not be using Red Panda Chinese takeaway or restaurant again and will warn others away.

Clean and tidy, food was delicious. We was worried as we are people who like to stick to our local Chinese for the best quality but can honestly say it lived up to great standards! Prices was reasonable however portions could have been equal to take out sizes rather than made smaller for a sit down meal. So if your hungry for Chinese, we would recommend this place.

Decided to give the Red Panda a try as we'd read reviews which were all positive, it does a roaring takeaway trade but not so many sit downs.

We have eaten in the restaurant and had takeaway a few times now and it is consistently good food. It is Well priced and the service is good. The restaurant surrounding aren’t great but don’t let that stop you. The fillet beef dishes are great!

Never been let down by the quality of the takeaway and had an eat in experience.. all good. Pleasant surrondings and good srvice. The sticky chilli beef is yummy.

Not much more to say other than the service was very friendly. Could do with a bit more choices of beer and perhaps add some cider? We were the only ones there on a Friday night and the takeaway was busy. Nice Hong Kong chicken

This takeaway restaurant provided an extensive menu, including much vegan choice. All was thoroughly enjoyable and recommended.

Not too keen on most of the dishes, too sweet. Their chips are awful. Food hygiene rating of 2/5 put me off, saw this after being a regular customer. Service is quick though. Prefer the other Chinese in Callington.

Don't be put off by the basic, somewhat cheap looking interior of the restaurant. The food served is great; large portions of well cooked dishes from a large and varied menu - all at a decent and with good service.

We haven't eaten in the restaurant though it does look very nice but we have had takeaways from here many times. The staff are lovely and the service is fast and efficient. We have never been disappointed, the food is always very hot, tasty and plentiful. I often find that Chinese food can be salty, leaving me thirsty but that doesn't happen with food from the Red Panda. Highly recommended.

Great place, simple Chinese food but done well. Eat in or take away its all good. Extensive menu which takes about 3 hours to read through so you always end up stick with the save option however, take a seat and have a look through the menu and try something new...The owner is a force of nature, big personality however, she runs a very successful local restaurant.

This is a “no frills” restaurant.

Very good Chinese food with a bit of variation on other styles of Chinese food also including. It is a small restaurant with a nice atmosphere, well worth a visit 👍

Fast service, tasty food, I had never heard of salted chilli chips but they were amazing. The lemon chicken was excellent but the egg fried rice was overdone for our taste but that is a little niggle.

The counter staff always seem friendly and helpful but the food is very average. There is a large choice on the menu and we've never had any really bad food from here but never had any really good food either. We only go to this takeaway when the other Chinese takeaway in Callington is closed.

Until we came here with friends we did not know that this place existed and what a pleasant surprise it isUpon entry it does not look too impressive and we were a little concerned but we need not have worried. The service was excellent, the food was awesome and at very good prices. Don't be put off by appearances.

Saturday 22nd of JulyThis was our first time visiting this restaurant, and I can confidently say we will not be returning.First of all the food quality was poor. We ordered the beef in black bean sauce with green pepper and mushroom. It was horrible! Way too salty and the beef was like chewing on a piece of old leather. We could see the two waitresses were very busy as the restaurant was very full, they seemed to be under a lot of stress but they served us perfectly and were very attentive. The restaurant itself was very cheap looking and the chairs were rickety and bent. For such a busy restaurant you would think they could afford decent chairs? The rest of our meal wasn't too bad, mainly just too salty and the sauces were very very thick. The music was nice but we had a hard time concentrating on that due to the yelling coming from the kitchen! Very unprofessional. All in all the only thing we really enjoyed was the drinks and the great service from the two young girls. This place definitely needs improvement!

What an unusual restaurant I only came here as trip advisor said the food was good and how right they are Mainly takeaway but there is a restaurant The seats are poor quality The decor as cheap as cheap can be Cheap Chinese paper lights Cheap mirrors Etc But it was clean And the food well priced and fabulous Not a place for the romantic wedding anniversary or celebration but if you want good food come here We arrived on Saturday night and Stella the waitress advised immediately they were very busy so don't expect immediate service Stella was brilliant and spent her night running about to keep a packed restaurant happy and help on the take away She did it very well They were severely understaffed but coped Everyone seemed happy I do not know who owns the restaurant But they must make a fortune as poor decor and few staff and in a portacabin no expensive outlay But I will be back as the food is so good and I see from the queues that many come back again and again The crispy duck mmmmThe steak Cantonese mmm

first time eating in the restaurant here and was very impressed, the staff were helpful and friendly, food was great and the price was reasonable, only negative is that they could do with better furniture, very weak cheap chairs, the waitress even pointed out another chair near us that sufferd the same fate,one of our groups chair broke and he's not that heavy, good thing we have a sense of humour!

When we walked in and saw that this was used by many locals it was a good start! The girls taking the order were lovely and friendly. It also looked very clean. Food was all cooked fresh to order but didnt take very long. When we got it back to our holiday cottage it was still warm and as they put the crispy meats on top of the sauce for you to then mix at home it meant they were still crispy :) We have a very good Chinese at home but ours is expensive in comparison and we felt this was as good as our local one!The honey spicy chicken is a delicious flavour , as was the sweet and sour chicken, egg fried rice and free prawn crackers! Certainly recommend this take away, the eat in dining looked very nice too. Thank you for a lovely meal!

A rare evening without the kids for a couple of hours meant we could have a nice meal out. The special buffet had the full range food and was of good quality.

Been to this restaurant three times over the last 3 months and they have never disipointed us, try the Green or Red Thai curry Good service and a nice atmosphere. Licensed Bar if you want Beers, Wines or Spirits, they only do bottle beers though no draft beers - Enjoy

The mainstay of this place is the takeaway- if you come for a meal expect the door to be packed out with customers ordering and collecting. A good range of meals, all well cooked and generously portions.

we had a girls night out here for my daughter in law birthday there were 10 of us we been before but it wasnt good last time this time could not fault it we had all you can eat buffet for £14.95 everything cooked fresh nothing was to much trouble waitress was excellent we all had a good evening plenty to eat and drink

We use Red Panda at least once or twice a week and if the family turn up for an occasion Red Panda is where we go. The staff always remember you and are always very pleasant. Best chinese around would eat there every day if we could afford to. Plenty of dishes to choose from. Well worth a try.

tonight, new years eve, we had a take away from our local chinese. the take away was booked soon after opening, after several attempts with the line engaged, so you knew it was going to be a busy one. we were told there was a half hour wait, but we actually wanted it later (not much later, 6.30, rather than about 5 ish, when it would have been ready. on arrival, the restaurant area was pretty busy for the time of day, and the take away counter packed out. our food was ready for collection, so we got it straight home. I want to give some praise for how great the quality was, under the circumstances of being very very busy. I often have the chicken and sweetcorn soup, which, some days it is fair to say, can be disappointing. I accept that when I order it, its always either delicious or a bit bland and salty. tonight it was delicious. as was everything else. great flavours, decent portions, and we're absolutely stuffed full of very tasty food. I've always sort of wondered why chinese restaurants offer chips, but after having some with a friend we visited elsewhere, and loving them, we ordered the salt and chilli chips which were lovely. considering how very busy it is tonight, we are more than impressed with the high quality of the food

Simply one of the best Chinese venues around. Prices are great value, food is exceptional quality with stunning flavours, waitresses are really attentive and work very hard.

I simply cannot understand anybody that complains about this small snd friendly venue. The food is exceptional , waitresses really really do try very hard to please. Prices are 2914 and service level excellent, Not a masterchef joint but very flavorsome, lemon chick = xl. Quiet and friendly

We ordered a banquet takeaway for 4 (although there were 5 of us) wonderful selection of dishes, and they did not skimp on the meat content of the dishes. There was more than enough for the 5 of us. The meal was ready for collection half an hour after ordering, which I considered very good as it was a Saturday night. Everyone enjoyed the meal and said it was the best Chinese they had had in a long time.

After deciding to take my 5 year old son there and have the buffet, he left a fatty small rib that was hardly edible and I had left one satay. The waitress came over and informed us very arrogantly that unless we ate everything we would not be allowed to continue with the buffet. When I pointed out that there was hardly anything left she insisted that our plates were cleared. When we eventually were allowed to have some duck, it was cold and burnt, even my son who loves duck refused to eat it. When I took my son to wash his hands we found that the warm water had been disengaged, another attempt for this poorly run restaurant to try to save money. A vile restaurant with vile staff.

We were staying in St Mellion, and booked to have a meal here on Sunday night. It is only a few minutes away, we managed to park in the high street.On entering there were a lot of people in the outer section of restaurant waiting for take away, which indeed all the time we were there people were coming in for.We were seated in the restaurant which is clean and very black and red. We were given the buffet menu, you can choose as many starters as you want, we had ribs, spring roll, satay, prawn toast and seaweed, all very tasty. To follow we had chicken noodle soup which was extremely good, to follow duck and all the trimmings. After this you can more or less choose any main dish and side. We had king prawns with cashew nuts, and lemon chicken with a side of noodles and mushrooms. All that for under £15 outstanding value.Shame we live 300 miles away !!!!!All the young staff had a smile on their faces and were very friendly thank you

We ate royally with the special choice of any starters and various main courses. Crab claws and chicken noodle soup a particular hit! The 1960s music was a bit strange with the usual Chinese decor but we came to eat and we certainly enjoyed that! Well done Red Panda!

Reading these reviews makes me wonder what went wrong tonight. We have just had probably the worst Chinese takeaway we have ever eaten- in fact most of it went in the bin. Szechuan beef, lemon chicken Singapore rice and prawn toasts. The meat was dried up and inedible. Very salty and unappetising sauce for both dishes. It didn't look nice and didn't taste nice. Definitely not freshly prepared as you would expect and I won't be wasting any money on a second chance. It's nice to see good reviews- we'd prefer to patronise our local traders but something was badly wrong tonight

Have eaten in the resteraunt several times with family and always had a fine meal with great service , the take away service is also top notch and always very nice .

We were looking for a meal at 7.30pm on a Sunday evening, without much success - ended up in Callington thinking it would have to be fish and chips when we spotted people coming out of the Red Panda. We ate in the restaurant and it was great - hot, freshly prepared, tasty food with a very friendly and helpful lady serving us. We could see a constant stream of people at the take-away-counter so it was obviously very popular. Can thoroughly recommend it.

Excellent food. Good service and friendly staff and owners. You can Eat in or Take away. For a small town Callington is lucky to have such a fine Chinese Cuisine. Best I've had yet and I regularly order from here. Only drawback is no deliveries but since I'm close it's not that much of a problem. They're always happy to take a telephone order so you can swing by and collect. Often throwing in a few little freeby Prawn Crackers on larger orders.

We went to the Red Panda not expecting anything different from any other Chinese restaurant. What a surprise we got. We can't praise the restaurant enough. Every thing about this restaurant is the best Chinese Experience Ever. Great food, great service, great evening. Great.

Our first visit.welcoming staff and choice of menu was very large as were the portions.The restaurant was clean and staff helpful.We were looking for some where to take friends who want to experience a Chinese meal but unfortunately we felt this restaurant was a bit expensive and lacking .atmosphere.

Our first time here was surprisingly good. The service from the girls was highly efficient and very friendly. We visited on a week day when the all-you-can-eat menu was available. All food is made to order, and each dish was fresh, hot and delicious. FAR better than getting food from a buffet counter that has (possibly) been sitting there for ages. At no point was the menu taken from the table, leaving us free to continue ordering if we were still hungry. The place is pleasant and quite spacious - with tables sensible spaced apart. Massive range of dishes, all priced competitively. In fact, we tried to go back a couple of weeks later, and it was full!

We went to this restaurant with friends who have been several times before. The menu is extensive and the quality of food was good. The decor is simple and unpretentious. The owners Jackie & Chen run the restaurant with the help of waitresses. All were very good.

Had take away from here I. The week was absolutely beautiful crispy chilli beef was actually crispy not soggy and fatty like all chineses I have tried in the south west. we had 4 mains rice prawn crackers etc all brilliant my father in law who had eaten Chinese forever said it was the tastiest Chinese he d ever had. Can't wait to visit again
