The best restaurants serving Chinese food in London

Visited three times since October and it's been boarded up! Tried calling for a table today and no answer! Why? Why?Why?Why?Why? Why?Why?Why?

This is my favourite Chinese style restaurant in the world. The service is great they do carry out and the food is so tasty. If you don’t know what to pick try the beef and broccoli. Delicious.

Trip to London with family to the theatre - googled ‘best pre- theatre menus’ and was delighted to find great food that met my budget, so booked for 5pm. First irritation was that despite booking, and paying a deposit, and seeing tables free upstairs, we were directed downstairs, despite me asking could we stay upstairs. Of course downstairs has very little atmosphere. We were given the a la carte menu, so I asked for the pre theatre one - only to be told that we couldn’t have it as there were 5 of us! I didn’t want to make a scene, and it was only when I got home and read previous reviews that I realised the goal posts seem to be very shiftable on this one - so be warned, and be firm. Of course being downstairs I couldn’t get online to read the small print - now I have double checked I can confirm that there isn’t any, and we were well within the time limit. No reference whatsoever to number requirements. Such a shame as the food was good, the sour taste in my mouth came about from feeling ripped off!

Los aperitivos de sopa ganó ton bang bang y pollo eran buenas.El problema surgió cuando los principales campos como uno, un plato de pescado a la parrilla, a la izquierda la degustación de pescado y un poco duras, quizás demasiado cocido. El otro plato era carne frita con cebolla de primavera que estaba bien, pero necesitaba un poco de salsa de soja para darle algunos oomph.El servicio era amable.

After a day at the hospital, my son and my friend and i had thought we would like a chinese, so we opted to try Wei Dao, croydon after having a look at the menu , and was disgusted at the price of the rice at £10 !!! RICE A TENNER!! i was horrified, and then we found out that two dishes would cost £25 per head, and that woudl cost £75.oo without drinks, !! this is croydon , not lomdon, and its not even a top restauraunt! we walked out and i decided id never want to even try it as its noting but a huge rip off, and the restaurant was empty, anhow, im not st all surprised !! they can sitck their food and their prices in the cost of living crisis !!!

The Dumpling House is a friendly and welcoming restaurant. Together with my family have been many times and enjoyed the food. The owner is very friendly and has helped us to find and enjoy her Korean cooking. This time around we went with friends, who had always stuck with the excellent dumplings and persuaded them to try some other dishes. The Korean Tofu is excellent, the Kimchi pancakes and rice were very tasty which we shared with our friends - who had never tried them before. They were amazed how good they were - they are a speciality of the chef. The cucumber and nut salad is a spicy side dish which accompanies the main courses. We had a really pleasant evening and the owner found us a table - for 4 - on a very busy night. Strongly recommend a visit.

There was an issue with our order and the polite gentleman on the phone came and sorted it out himself he’s always so great taking our order and unfortunately there was some confusion (these things happen) but he came and sorted it out straight away without even waiting for the driver very pleased with the level of costumer service this was a busy Friday evening for contest

I used to love to go to this restaurant whenever I stayed at the hotel. So it was my normal place to go for a quick dinner as soon as I arrived. The atmosphere has changed the food did not have great taste The quality was simply not there.

Attended an event in Hounslow for a few days and got a number of takeaways from here. The food was fresh, and tasty; and the people were very friendly. They have a great selection of Indo Chinese dishes. I wouldn’t really recommend sitting down and eating there as the seating tables and floor were a bit dirty, and needed a good clean. In summary, a good place for quality Indo-Chinese food

Fully reopened after lockdown when only the take-away was serving, Sun Ya is better than ever. A younger generation are now in charge of this Family restaurant and (no disrespect to the elders) both food and customer care are excellent. Great value for food and wine too. A great place for both last minute meals for the two of us and for three-generation family parties. We’re lucky to have it as our local.

Tenemos comida para llevar en familia desde aquí durante alrededor de 5 años, ahora y especialmente si los amigos están de visita, ha sido fantástico y conveniente pedir una comida de 148. La semana pasada, de nuevo tuvimos visita familiar para el verano y hicimos un pedido considerable, pero desafortunadamente nos decepcionamos un poco con la completa falta de contenido de pollo en el Pollo Chow Mein - entre nosotros bromeamos que era cazar el pollo y en esta ocasión, simplemente lo dejó así! El domingo por la noche, nuestros invitados se ha ido y de nuevo decidimos pedir a partir de 148 , en nuestro menú habíamos incluido el Pollo Chow Mein pero una vez más nos sentimos muy decepcionados al encontrar diminutas hebras de pollo, casi hasta el punto de ser inexistente. Llamamos para explicar que no estábamos contentos y nos dijeron más o menos por el gerente, que él había visto personalmente al Chef poner el pollo en nuestro Chow Mein personalmente. En lugar de seguir discutiendo, solicitamos cortésmente un intercambio y que pudieran recoger el pedido inicial como prueba, simplemente no había pollo... a lo que la respuesta del gerente fue a Go Fu? Ustedes mismos... Encantador - supongo que cualquiera puede cometer un error, pero es esta la manera de tratar a sus clientes fieles a largo plazo.

We went for my birthday last week and it was FANTASTIC!! I didn't know this place existed before and now we will be regulars, the food was exquisite, the staff were wonderful and the atmosphere was lovely. The crispy duck was a sensation, the crispy beef was melt in the mouth, the sweet and sour chicken was crispy and light and the beef short rib was simply one of the best things i've ever tasted. THANK YOU!!

Don’t bother with Dim Sum Duck if you’re not a fan of authentic food, dedicated staff, and a lively atmosphere. Yes, the space is tight, but that’s part of its charm. And the food? The frequently mentioned middle-aged lady works hard, and her Cantonese directness can be mistaken for discourtesy. Some reviews paint dramatic scenes, complaining about waiting rules and alleged preferential treatment. However, understanding cultural differences helps. The "all-parties-must-be-present" rule is common in many busy eateries. Dim Sum Duck offers top-notch dim sum, rivaling famous spots like Din Tai Fung, but at much more affordable prices. The staff’s dedication ensures everything runs smoothly in the bustling environment. So, if you appreciate authentic Cantonese cuisine and enjoy a vibrant dining experience, Dim Sum Duck is definitely worth the wait.

Wow what amazing service throughout the whole meal, waiters are attentive, food was beyond delicious and cocktails were even better !! this restaurant is a must come to if you are in chingford !!

Great restaurant with amazing and fresh food, I have been a regular here for a long time and really enjoy their food, very good prices too
