Food was good but the service was very poor. Staff clearly trained to get you in, fed and out within your 1.5 hour slot. Also quite rude. Furthermore I did not like them taking £10.00per person deposit from your card at the time of booking ! This was a good venue but seems to have gone downhill.

We booked in to this restaurant with a theatre menu. So glad we booked, as it was very busy. We were seated immediately and the attentive waiters brought us the menu and we ordered drinks. They provide water with your meal, which was great, as we were having cocktails otherwise! We selected a mix of the momo starters, both of which had beautiful flavours. We then opted for crackling spinach on their recommendation and so glad we did! I also have to rave about their Chilli King Prawns, which were absolutely delicious. The pièce de résistance was the desert...OMG it was stunning!! We had their signature snowflake sizzling brownie. We would definitely go back and highly recommend to others.

La comida encantadora realmente disfrutó de los platos, pedimos el plato paneer, espinacas crujientes, arroz frito, patatas de miel ubicación es genial, la planta baja es un poco apretado. Mientras que supe al reservar que solo tenemos la mesa para 1. 5 horas. Tan pronto como nos sentamos a la mesa nos dijeron inmediatamente que esta mesa solo está disponible para 1 . 5 horas. Nosotros ni siquiera habíamos pedido bebidas, aunque entiendo que están obligados a despejar la mesa para la próxima sesión, realmente estropea la experiencia.

No teníamos una reserva, pero nos sentamos después de una corta espera. El personal era atento y muy educado. La comida era excepcional - cada plato que pedimos era inventivo y delicioso, pero la estrella eran las chuletas de cordero, que eran excepcionales! Las especias eran delicadas, las porciones generosas.

Algunos de los sabores más increíbles y únicos que he probado. Coliflor palomitas de maíz y pollo bombacho fueron los platos destacados, pero cada plato es especial. Servicio rápido y atento.

Trip to London with family to the theatre - googled ‘best pre- theatre menus’ and was delighted to find great food that met my budget, so booked for 5pm. First irritation was that despite booking, and paying a deposit, and seeing tables free upstairs, we were directed downstairs, despite me asking could we stay upstairs. Of course downstairs has very little atmosphere. We were given the a la carte menu, so I asked for the pre theatre one - only to be told that we couldn’t have it as there were 5 of us! I didn’t want to make a scene, and it was only when I got home and read previous reviews that I realised the goal posts seem to be very shiftable on this one - so be warned, and be firm. Of course being downstairs I couldn’t get online to read the small print - now I have double checked I can confirm that there isn’t any, and we were well within the time limit. No reference whatsoever to number requirements. Such a shame as the food was good, the sour taste in my mouth came about from feeling ripped off!

Our favorite place to bring our overseas friends when they visit us in London is, without a doubt, this gem of a restaurant. While it is on the pricier side with smaller portion sizes, the food is absolutely amazing and not to be missed. We've brought meat eaters, vegetarians, and vegans here, and every one of them has been blown away, leaving with lingering memories of London and our hospitality. For kids, they can prepare a few dishes without spice, but it's best to order these in advance as it can take some time for them to arrive. Our daughter loves this place, especially the Hakka Noodles, the Crispy Cauliflower, and the mango mocktail. This restaurant consistently delivers an exceptional dining experience that delights every palate. They do take a £10 per head deposit, and you need to book ahead. The space is a little tight, and the restaurant is very, VERY busy, so they have a 2-hour window for you to be seated, eat, and leave, which they inform you of when booking to set expectations. Despite this, we have been there about eight times with groups ranging from 6-12 people, and we've always managed to order, eat, and leave FULL within this time. So it's doable! Overall, this restaurant is a must-visit, offering a unique and unforgettable dining experience in London.

Fantastic Food in a vibrant location at Convent Garden. The menu is unique Ind Indo Chinese. The flavors and the food are phenomenal. The portions are small, but they taste great and very unique. Our personal favorite was the crispy spinach. It’s a good twist on some traditional food that we’ve eaten. It’s on an expensive site because of the location, but the dining experience is highly recommendable.

The food here is incredible however the service not so much. I had made reservation to take advantage of the pre theatre menu before seeing a show. Upon sitting at the table I was given the regular menu. I questioned about the pre theatre menu to which I was told it was only until 5:45pm, which I accepted given it being 6pm, but was disappointed. After a few minutes I asked our server again what time the other menu applied to? To which I said that was very early and that I had made a reservation purely to take advantage of that menu. My request was then honoured and I received the pre theatre menu, as I had booked, which seemed fair. Having decided what to get I signalled at the server who came over, to which the guy at the next table signalled at her as she arrived at our table. She proceeded to then took the gentleman at the next tables order first. This was very frustrating considering I had indicated I was ready to order and she by passed me to an order from the other table. Whilst this may seem minor, I was aware of being treated differently and feel I subject to discrimination. Why had my actions not been taken seriously, considering I had communicated first. Please train your staff to acknowledge requests in orders they are made.

Very tasty indo Chinese fusion restaurant, all the dishes are well balanced in flavour, the portion sizing is perfect and the service was top quality.

Absolutely loved our dinner at Fatt Pundit. The food was delicious, the team were amazing and we felt super looked after from start to finish. A big shoutout to Carold & Ruby who really elevated our experience. Will be back again soon!

Delicious Indo-Chinese food like none you have ever tasted! The portions are small and you are supposed to get multiple dishes to share. The beef momos, crackling spinach, sticky vegetables, shredded venison, and mango lassi are all great. Our server Aman was very sweet and helpful. Definitely recommend!

Great post theatre meal in this Asian Indian fusion restaurant. A hidden gem close to Covent Garden . Great service from JD. Loved the spinach dish and also the monkfish curry . They bought out a candle in my wife’s dessert to celebrate her birthday . Recommended

My other half found this place for a Saturday lunch after some friends recommending it. We were greeted by an abundance of smiles and warmth from the staff who quickly got us to our reserved table. Not having eaten here before we were keen for some advice on the menu. Our waiter was very patient and knowledgeable as he run through our options. He suggested the dumplings containing both beef and chicken… they were delicious Our mains were also incredible, made fresh and served steaming hot. The menu is nice and concise… you’re not overwhelmed with a huge array of blandly made items. There is a small selection but they are all wonderful Would come back in a flash. Thank you 🙏🏼

The food was really really good. Maybe the recommendation of the waiter to have 3 plates each was a bit too much as there was alot of food! Would definitely go back as there's alot more to try 😋

When you think you have seen it all in central London, there you are with another original cuisine concept: mixing traditional Chinese cooking techniques with the spices of India. The result on your plate is dishes like: Beef Momos dumplings with spicy chutney from India, the Kolkata Chilli Duck or the Lollypop Chicken. As soon as you take the seat, you are taken through the concept of the restaurant and they recommend you how to structure your meal. Buzzy atmosphere, friendly services and great food.

Three of us had dinner at the excellent Fatt Pundit on 1 February 2024. The restaurant was busy but they fitted us in at short notice and we enjoyed nine dishes between us from their intriguing Indo-Chinese menu. Decent vinho verde and beer to wash it down. The waiting staff were swift, helpful and created a warm, efficient vibe. Recommended.

We were rather excited about this particular Restaurant, the indo-chinese menu was intriguing. Made a booking and got to Fatt Pundit at the stated time, there was much discussion between the suited managers about where to seat us. We were eventually given a table with a time limit of 1 hour, very odd. Ordered a small selection, the Chicken Lollipop, were disappointing, very bland. Rabbit Wonton & Stir Fry Broccoli were far better. The Honey Duck with pancakes was not to my taste, pancakes cooled down very quickly A mixed bag, would not recommend the service, they may have been understaffed Would try again

Loved all the food that we tasted. Everything was delicious. It is a fusion menu that you taste unique flavours which were so interesting.

We were intrigued by the concept of a Chinese and South Asian fusion, and our curiosity was richly rewarded. Starting with chicken, goat, and vegetable momo--with sauces that perfectly complement the visual and culinary delights--we went through their Crab 65, tiger prawn curry, burnt ginger, Kolkata Chilli Chicken, pop cauliflower, shredded chilli venison, and more. Each dish, even the ones masking merely as "sides," commanded its own place in your palate, and the various dishes complemented one another to such an extent that you kept on wanting more, even though you knew you shouldn't. We did. An extremely hospitable staff (thanks, Raj!) made our visit all the better, and the atmosphere and décor are lovely. Can't wait to go back.

First time at the Maiden Lane Fatt Pundit and our group of 7 enjoyed the food, ambience and service. Really recommend the chicken momo. The sticky sesame vegetables were good as well as unique. The chilly venison and monk fish curry were really tasty. Would go back to try other dishes. Service was outstanding - Raj and J.D. were very helpful in suggesting what to order and were very gracious in answering my questions.

Awful service, from the moment we got there to the time we left our table, we were rushed. The waiter came over continously to ask for our order, and bought our bill even before we had got our desserts. Not a comfortable setting for the amount of money you pay. Limited vegan food to eat. Awful.
