The best restaurants serving Chinese food in London

The most fantastic place for a special occasion. Beautiful setting and location. Brilliant food with generous portions. Team were very accommodating, starting with Carmel who was our point of contact for arranging our event. Helped with menu tweaks, and catered to all dietary requirements, including kids. All staff on site also attentive and helpful. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you all for a fantastic experience that we will never forget.

THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS.... TO BLAME! Twice I ordered the same three items and twice New Lotus got the order wrong, missing items and then blatantly claimed he never heard me, despite repeating the order back to me twice, apparently to avoid repeating the SAME mistake, twice. Ironically they've got a picture on the counter warning customers to check their change, because they believe in accuracy, what a joke!

Excellent food and service even for Saturday lunch. Not cheap but good quality and plentiful.

I visited this restaurant about 8 years ago and was blown away by the food, simple dishes, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. It had that comforting, healthy, home cook food. I returned recently, excited to see the new revamp, it looks good, but I couldn’t help but feel that the heart of the food had been lost in the process. We ordered the dumplings, which sadly were partially burnt and lacked flavour. The beef noodles, we struggle to find any actual beef in the dish. I really want to see this place thrive and hope this feedback helps bring attention back to the quality and flavour that once made it so special. The potential is still there, just don’t lose sight of what originally made people fall in love with your food.

Tao Tao Ju is a lively, busy restaurant – there's a lot going on here! Many large groups, especially younger people, create a high-energy atmosphere. The food was delicious, more hearty than light or healthy, but absolutely delicious. If you're looking for authentic, hearty cuisine in a convivial atmosphere, this is the place to be. It was definitely fun – four stars!

Now closed This restaurant appears to have lost its identity. It used to offer a great menu, but all our group could say today was ... It's "Ok". Before it was always "Fantastic". Original review Limited menu. Average dishes. A far cry from this once excellent restaurant.

What am amazing place. The ambience really adds to the excellent quality of the food. All of the staff were excellent, friendly and attentive. Will definitely be going again and telling my friends. Thank you so much xx

Great range of products excellent staff

I've found a gem in the rough. Delicious food and superb service. Highly recommended to eat in. Do not be deterred by the decor the food is absolutely to die for, expecially the salt and pepper prawn are massive and easy it with the shell on to get the crunch and chilli hit. Must go.

Second time been here, whilst visiting London, and really like this cocktail bar. Does quirky and well thought out drink. Like that the menu changes so we could try something different each time. Partner and I got two drinks each. All 4 were delicious. The frosty was probably one of the best drinks I’ve had in years. Very attentive and quick service. Nice atmosphere

Allright so me and my girlfriend we were ordering from your place for quite a while now , food was always decent but not exceptional today tho we’ve ordered the same thing as usual roasted duck with egg fried rice and it was something else . Absolutely amazing food . Did u guys get a new chef ? Congratulations on the food 5* no questions asked

Very delicious and worth experiencing

Food quality is fresh, Staffs are very kind. But there’s many extra charges for example .. basic source, garlic, etc. So you actually need to pay more than only unlimited hotpot.
