Had buffet which was barely average

It was OK. The food was average, service average, cleanliness was a bit below (my) standards. Eatable and good for casual dinning - somewhere you’d go wearing jogging bottoms or a onesie.

Food 1/10 Service is ok We ordered different dishes, between starters and mains, but not a single one of the dishes tasted even moderately good, I'm sorry to be so honest. Anyway, like every time I give 1 star, I recommend people go and try it for yourselves. Maybe they already have a new chef, or a new menu and the experience for you will be different.

Honestly, it says halal but the quality and service from the brother taking orders is haraam. Disappointed I came from central London and wasn’t even given crackers which I mentioned 3times. Never coming again . Off the list

The fried rice is good and up to standard. The fried noodle in fact is the best, I recommend ppl to order it. But the ginger lamb is a bit disappointing? Not much meat, but too much soup…. The ma po tofu is not exactly ma po tofu…

Delicious freshly prepared and affordable food. I always go for the sweet n sour fish because its so dubious. Good staff service and ill be back for more soon.

Really good food as always. Saturday lunch service, we were the only customers in there. The service was extremely slow and the server got our order wrong. We are regulars and the service has never been this slow.

This was the worst food I had tasted from woks I remember going here when my daughter was 6 the food was amazing and the service but unfortunately the egg fried rice didn’t even have salt in it and the beef black bean sauce taste of water. Very sad had to throw away the rice and beef black bean curry just had soup bad that I had to force down myself spent 40 plus pounds.

We always have take away from here but tonight was exceptional … was the best take away from here we ever had … Kevin snd team delivered a great meal

They've become so expensive. We ordered what we always ordered everytime we dine in but ended up spending £25 more. The crispy duck is not crispy and the pancake was soggy

The food was good, but they do sell quite big portions and it can be quite expensive. When you go there the staff don't look too happy and I don't think that is good service. The atmosphere is good and overall it was 4 stars.

Next time I will order on UBER Eats as deliveroo doesn't have their full menu. I made my order and it came really quickly then when I called them to see if they had an additionaly dish they told me they did and get it cooking whilst I was on the phone so it got to me in less than 30minutes to join the rest of the food.

They are decent people and provided good service. However food was very bland. All the dishes are cooked in same gravy. Very much like a local indian, where all meat items are cooked in just ons run of mill kind of gravy. Wont recommend.

Foods okay, service is decent however the prices are a bit much, ordered 2 dishes total £21 for collection. Also the last few times I've ordered the prices on the menu's in shop and website are wrong its actually more expensive, at least use updated prices.

Would never order from here again, I received the smallest portion, for less the price there is much better food and portions, WHICH ARE HALAL BTW! Embarrassing portions, and extremely average taste. Stay away at all costs, even chicken wings from Morley are more satisfying!!!

Good halal Chinese spot which can be quite hard to find. Customer service could be better.

We ordered Wu Tong vegetable noodles which were quite good and the crispy duck. The duck was actually crispy and pancakes were nice but I was expecting lemongrass and we got sliced spring onions instead which was quite disappointing. Portions are decent! Not wowed though!

Service a bit slow. But really enjoyed the Duck black bean source and lamb Szechuan with plain rice. Really good belly filler. I’ll defiantly will come back.

Pretty good food. Light and tasty. Service was good, could be better. We had to keep reaching out for their attention to order stuff. Atmosphere is decent, could be much better. We usually get takeout and it's perfect for that.

Must be new owners as the food was nice and tasted fresh. We have been here before and the food was never any good. Sweet n sour chicken, special fried rice, salt n pepper chicken were all good although my friend had 1 of the beef dishes and it wasn't great. Overall wasn't that bad, but probably stick to simple stuff from menu.

My favourite Chinese spot! I been coming here for years! Full of flavour! However only thing to complain about is the price. It’s very overpriced now.

Always exceeds my expectations, food is alway fresh and tasty. It’s hard to find a decent halal Chinese and for me they are the best in south London. I order many times and the food is 10/10 every time, delivery is always efficient and staff are friendly and helpful. My favourite is by far is the sweet and sour chicken, seaweed and chicken noodles, my daughter won’t eat Chinese from anywhere else. (Their crispy chicken wings are yummy too) Eating in is even better, the place is clean, the lady I believe is the owner is such a lovely lady she really goes out her way to host, she was so sweet to my daughter, who loved the fishes and tried to feed them noodles (😩) the guy who also works there is a lovely man very polite and helpful, feel the need to write a essay as I think they are underrated and don’t get the ratings they truly deserve. Bad reviews I don’t get but I guess everyone has a acquired taste for me they are the best! And will continue to order and eat in. Keep up the good work guys 💜

Food is ok, I wouldn't say one of the best I've tasted. Service was great, the food was brought out in good time. Had Singapore noodles and sweet and sour chicken, which was ok, though had an Indian fusion to it...felt there was abit too much gharam masala in the Singapore rice. Would I come again? Yes I would ... ok priced too.

One of the best halal and delicious chines in UK i ever had and the owner of this restaurant she is such a nice lady great customer service, and the restaurant is soo clean we always go there and drive 50 min just for this chines

This place was recommended by a friend, decent size portions and the price weren't to bad, highly recommended...

Very poor service, only three families in the restaurant and it took about 40 minutes to take order. If you are short of staff you should mention that a long wait is there. Food is not great in taste. Strongly suggest to avoid it unless they improve taste and service quality.

Was very disappointed in the food have been once before and had great food. Called to order and the person who answered the call answered like she was at home no name of restaurant or anything. Ordered salt and pepper Prawn which cost over £9.00 and there were 6 prawns in the container, all rice dishes where bad and the meat tasted strange,seaweed was so full of salt not able to eat it. Ordered 5 dishes came to £35 which is £10 more then my local not sure why as the food isn't great and the service is poor. Would not recommend

Best Chinese restaurant ever. There's a prayer room here too which is totally convenient. Staff could definitely be more friendly. But the food is just awesome, especially their fried rice dishes, their starters such as the ribs, the crispy fried chicken and many others. Delicious.

I ordered £57 worth of food which never came- lucky I hadn’t paid for it!! But the delivery driver had a flat tyre and I was told he would resolve the issue- which was he would come in 30mins (a full 1.5hours from ordering) with cold food and we should still pay £57 for it! Such a shame as the owner and one of the young ladies that work there are lovely- the lady I spoke to couldn’t add with a calculator and will run the business to the ground!

Owner is so rude full.of attitude. She came to take order but dint bring food out for longest time. We were ignored. Then one waitress we reminded we still waiting to eat food was then bought out. Very strange situation. Overall food was just average and rubbish customer service. Not recommanded to spend money there... no business from me ...

I don’t usually write reviews but I had to do this time… worst customer service, I orderd soup it was so tasteless, lumpy can’t explain.. but worst soup ever.. I also orderd sweet and sour chicken with noddles.. chicken was soo hard and chewy I don’t know how old it was? Ask for chilli oil was tasteless it was just oil couldn’t taste any chilli .. worst service while I was eating she even took the cutlery Away and I was left only with fork.. had to call the lady back to please give me fork back as I can’t eat with only fork. Would never recommend to anyone..

Very friendly service. Brilliant food

I went in after work to place an order for take away. The south asian guy ignored me for nearly 20 mins. He was taking all his time on the phone without even looking at me or acknowledging my presence. I even said hi but i was rudely ignored. Will never set foot there again. Horrible customer service and very mediocre food.

Had this after a few months since lockdown and food was terrible this time. Normally it used to be very good. Standards have gone down unfortunately and there may have been a change in chef or management.

Been a while since I last had Woks Cooking, ordered for collection, gentlemen was friendly, order was correct at a busy peak time and most of all food was good! First time my wife tried it and she enjoyed it. Recommend the Chow Mein and Satay Chicken ✅

Used to be a regular, not sure what happened the staff do not know how to run a returant and offer no customer interaction. The food used to be very good, ordered a takeaway and that had few issues so I decided to pop in and try it again and boy I was very disappointed. I asked the man behind the counter if management has changed, he replied no and way am I asking? So I told time the truth about my experience and he wasn't even bothered. Shocking experience. Ordered food told it would 30mins over the phone. Offered my name, said not needed as would call when food was ready. Arrived after 30mins to collect told another 10-15mins waited 15mins then asked if food was ready said another 10-15 mins said ok. This happened again and again waited another in total 50 mins over the 1/2 hour promised. Then unbelievably gave my order to another customer. No apology, no offer of solution...nothing. Stay away at all costs.

Ordered food...checked on app which said driver is collecting are food..only to be told 2 hours later that they have run out of supplies. Absolute joke. NEVER ordering from this place again. AVOID at all costs. If I could give no stars I would. DISGUSTING service.

I have ordered from this restaurant a few times due to convenience. I give the food a 4/10, food often tastes under cooked and seasoned. Food tastes quite fresh, lack of seasoning and flavour. I ordered a few dishes; Salt and pepper prawns: under-seasoned, wet, needed to be crispy X2 Special fried rice: literally boiled rice with mixed meat, no flavour, would have been n ice to taste. Some soya sauce Beef ribs: not worth the money, very small cut, 1-2 inches per rib, about 10 in a portion. Garlic and spring onion prawns: very watery gravy Shredded beef: Crispy, sweet, spicy, very very thinly cut, hard to taste any meat. However you may prefer thin crispy shredded beef. In conclusion very pricey considering the quality and flavour. Dishes are overpriced, portions are not adequate, food lacks flavour. Good for a quick takeaway for a night out.

We ordered soup and sweet and sour chicken and I must say, it was top notcha and I must recommend, the soup was good but they didn't provide any chillies or sauce with it otherwise would have given 5 star. Will try again soon.

My son took me and my daughter there for a meal the place was lovely and the staff was very nice and the food was excellent and the service was excellent we had a wonderful evening if you would like a nice restaurant that has great service and wonderful food this is the place to go 🙂

Amazing food best Chinese in london!! Friendly staff overall great time

This was such a nice place before. It had good food and good service too. My visit yesterday left a very uneasy and unhappy state of mind. The starters were good, a little extra salt in the fried chicken wings but that wasn't too bad. The main course was not good. No salt in the fried rice. Chicken and ginger side didn't have any flavour. The Sichuan beef side tasted of books beef in sweet/sour sauce with some spice, in short terrible! The worst is their hygiene levels. You'd think with the pandemic things would have gotten better! It was terrible. Finger in the bowls to take away boxes with fingers placed all inside. Tables not that great, stained plates. As I said, the place doesn't give you confidence to have a nice and comfortable meal along with the fact that the food isn't anything special.

Thoroughly enjoyed my time at Woks, the food was piping hot and a very very good portion size, reasonably priced. The staff were attentive and courteous. Would definitely eat there again without a doubt.

Good food, good value and fast service, happy with our visit for a family of 14 outing, everyone seemed to enjoy the food, with a fair bit left over. Good variety of different dishes so hoping to go back again and try some different things. Found some of the sweeter dishes a tad too sweet but maybe it's supposed to be like that!

The food here is ok. Not particularly good or bad, but enough to satisfy a craving for Chinese food. Highlight was the starters - squid was nice and enjoyed the dumplings. However the service is absolutely appalling: customers crammed in with no social distancing, only one of the waiting staff was wearing a mask, and they have an uninterested and abrupt attitude. The table wasn't wiped down or set before we ordered - and when the plates did come it was after we'd already been given two of our starters. Our waiter had his mask on his chin and had no idea whether the food he brought out was for us or the next table. He also just plonked each dish on the table and expected us to make room for it (there wasn't much room because they'd squeezed 5 of us on to a table for 4 even though we'd booked). Lack of decent competition keeps this place going but they really need to up their game. Won't be going back till they do.

3 of us friends, went there for a meal. Price, about £50. Very good, customer service. Meal was OK. Price OK.

Very substandard food, no taste and stale. I do not understand if the chef was chinese then why food was tasteless. The only acceptable thing was that manager did not charge us and offered if we want to have fresh food instead or if he can serve us in any manner to nullify our experience, but that was impossible. So respect for him but food was a major failure. I will never give this place a second chance.
