Great place to buy everything you need for Great Chinese food

Good service. Found everything I was looking for.

The store itself looks good, but no customer service in this place. The guy guide me to the wrong place twice. After his manager come, he said he doesn’t know the place. If you don’t know, why you waste my time. It is not bad if you just tell me you don’t know rather than waste me 30 mins for nothing!

Right opposite the new Brent Cross West, Thames link station. With frequent stopping trains. Wingtip is one of the first North London Oriental food venues. It not only has a great supermarket with fresh and frozen food and groceries but also a restaurant. At New year they had the traditional dragon and drum dance. They are also suppliers to trade so there is a warehouse area at the North end of the shop selling bulk sizes. Parking should not be a problem as there is a car park.

I went to this Wing Yip Supermarket - Sunday, 25th March. It has been a long time, I haven't been back then. To my surprised. After their refurbishment. I find this supermarket is much cleaner, tidier and well organised. Where is easier to find frozen food you needed. Where are neatly stored. The attendants are more polite and helpful than before. I hope this supermarket continues to improve their customer service. Especially to the individual shoppers. Not shouting like in wet market. Especially it has been so beautifully refurnished. Highly recommended. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

parking scam beware! be very very careful parking because the supermarket has employed a very very unfair parking Company which gives a £60 parking ticket if you are not parked straight, I believe this is a disgrace and unfair to their customers, also prices excluding VAT scam, terrible customer service, corrupt and unfair services, food overpriced. avoid, plenty of better and cheaper ASIAN STORES elsewhere.

I used its restaurant and really enjoyed the food.

I placed the order over the phone asking them that I’m coming to pick up in about 10 minutes so I don’t have to wait that half an hour they said they can’t do it because it’s a company policy. I have to order in front of the desk and then wait half an hour I don’t think this is a very good customer service, specially if I am in a catering industry and I don’t have time to wait very disappointed

If you are looking for Asian, especially Chinese food ingredients,you can get all the ingredients from Wing Yip,. If u are driving, the parking there is free for 1st 3 hours.

Always a pleasure to visit, though the range seems somewhat diminished. No double deluxe soy sauce! Still, I'll live. A visit to the Reindeer Café for meats and congee made it all better.

Amazing selection, you could spend ages walking around here. So much food from pantry stockers to fresh food, as well as a whole aisle dedicated to every type of instant noodle you could imagine. Would definitely recommend a visit.

7 days a week Asian Supermarket Paradise. 😁 Huge selection of frozen delights. Fish, shellfish, dim sum, Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Korean, Malaysian, Philippine and etcetera specialities. Fresh fish, shellfish, crabs, lobsters and crustaceans. Prawns in all sizes from 50 to a kilo up to huge Tiger Prawns weighing 250g each (4 per kilo). 🍤 Chicken, pork, beef both fresh and frozen. Cuts and sizes often not seen in Western supermarkets. 🍗🐖 Fruits, vegetables, young coconuts. Frankly the list of Asian delights and staples is endless. 🥥 Also hardware, woks, rice cookers. Just an endless journey of discovery down each aisle. Even the seasoned shopper will spend an hour navigating their preferred needs. So allow for more. 🥘 Bulk buying is common - presumably restauranteurs. 10 kilo boxes of chicken breast fillets our particular favourite. 🐓 But your first visit to Wing Yip is an experience to relish. The choice is staggering. The quality is high. The prices are competitive. Ranging from essentials to luxuries. Highly prized by Asian restaurants, Asian families and lovers of Asian food. 🥣 We visit monthly and limit our purchases to suit the remaining space in our freezer. But, to be honest, I think we'll just have to get a bigger freezer. 🥶 If you ever wondered where steak sized prawns come from .... yes, try Wing Yip❗

Ok range of products, though have noticed alot more items not being stocked. Less aisles, more space between them. Still a place I would stop by.

Has everything Asian you need, very packed with everything recommend for all your needs and cost wise excellent too. The restaurant here is amazing too!

Large Chinese superstore, clearly for serving the restaurant trade. However, you can find a lot of products for home and it is very well organised.

Top Chinese Supermarket selling groceries to restaurants and general public. The range includes other asian such as Thai, Japanese, live crab & lobster, crates of pre cut meats, bags of rices, sauces, frozen dumplings, chinese cutlery and woks and cleavers. Lots of parking but Sundays get very busy and some fresh items run out at the end of the day.

So there are 2 parts to this store - the consumer section and then the bulk section more oriented towards restaurants. I’m only commenting on the first bit. If you’re coming from central London I’d say it isn’t worth the trek. There isn’t anything particularly unusual or rare in the stock and prices aren’t any different from Chinatown. On the whole an underwhelming experience.

Great place if you are lover of Asian food. Big choice of frozen seafood and other like buns, samosas, pork, beef etc… obviously prices are more affordable than in a other supermarkets. We went just before Christmas and some products were sold out, which was a bit disappointing, hence giving 4⭐️ Car park is on a private land, so be aware and do not park. We parked just across the road in the decathlon parking (free)

The food is amazing and excellent making this a wonderful restaurant to eat nearby. The parking is the downside since there is barely any parking spaces although there is some downstairs so that makes it better.

This store is good and has a lot of options to pick and most of the time it will have what I need, but I hope it has more options for vegetarians. There was a lovely shop assistant there who was helpful.

Loved it! Massive Chinese food store selling not only Chinese but Korean, Thai and some Indian food stuffs too. Fishmonger on site with live lobsters and crabs! Frozen dim sum, gyozas, dumplings etc also sold. Tons of different types of noodles, drinks (inc. Chinese alcoholic drinks), and sauces and pastes for curries, chilli sauces, chow mein, Sichuan, different brands of soya sauce, oils, etc etc. 2 restaurants attached to it - Reindeer Cafe (super food but remember - massive portions!!), and Wing Tai dim sum restaurant (pretty good). Recommended for your Chinese food shop & bites afterwards. I think a lot of Chinese and other restaurant owners come to this store for their bulk-buying needs!

Regular customer at the supermarket. Usually a good experience despite being overpriced in comparison to a lot of other Asian marts (especially the ones in soho, surprisingly). Sadly brought home a coconut spread opened it and it was filled with mold!! Despite expiration date saying 2024. I won’t post a picture to save everyone from the displeasure lol

Shoppers beware: Not sure when this started. Wing Yip has apparently carved out a parking area to UKPC the parking operator, which put the parking area as license holders only. I drove into the trap in a dark raining night and being issued £100 parking Notice and currently going through dispute legal process. Shame on you, Wing Yip for selling your customers out

This place is pretty good and prices are at least 20% cheaper than central London. Food is good, service is fast but go there on a weekend and expect it to be busy. Grab a ticket and may be wait 20-30mins but table turn around is fast. If you can get there when the doors open or within the hour of it opening then you'll be fine, otherwise head there mid-afternoon when everyone else have filled their bellies. Decor-wise don't expect a swanky look, the place has been around for a while, just go there with the expectation of good food and good prices. Added benefit is the Chinese supermarket next door as they are part of the same establishment.

They now have much less isles and much less varieties, simply selling lower grade stuff at higher prices. The restaurant is always packed but we've noticed the dim sums are much more expensive, portions are much smaller and less tasty , and service charges added straightaway ( hardly get any ). Will spend less there and avoid the restaurant.

Saturday 4th November 2023 SHELVES VIRTUALLY EMPTY MAYBE THEY ARE CLOSING DOWN?? IF NOT....then why do they think it's ok to open with less than half the stock? Lots of fridges with doors now. Just like Iceland. But, actually consume more space and contain less items. The more popular it becomes, the more pricey it gets. Till staff are polite and there is NO LONGER ANYONE TO PACK FOR YOU. EVEN if, like me you walk on one leg. You ask for a bag (60p) and get pointed to somewhere else to fetch it. Chinese culture is just like every other culture. Perhaps giving higher value to money than people sometimes. There are great, really nice people and some not so nice. Never mistake the accuracy of conversation for being brusque or rude. The language is more precise and therefore less words are required. MID 2023 UPDATE They've put up signs in English as well as Chinese in every aisle🤗 They are starting to reduce the variety of selections. I have been coming to wing yip since 2008. More mainline supermarkets are starting to stock some of the same lines and at better prices. There are more corner stores + with less variety but cheaper prices. Wing yip still cheaper than Soho stores. BUT There is another super-wholsaler/ market not far away near blackbirds cross. People will start to go there more as wing yip variety decreases AND PRICES INCREASE. Some parking available. On site restaurant...... fresh but a little expensive. Better choice in Soho's restaurants. Remember.... Don't tip. Management keeps the tips. Just like most Chinese restaurants. It's traditional. And we wouldn't want to argue with thousands of years of tradition would we?

Beware!!! Outdated food at extortionate prices. Managers and workers look miserable and never happy to help. Dont visit by car if you want to be slapped with a £60 parking ticket for 5 minutes. Johnson Fellows who manages the land should be ashamed of themselves using UKPC which is well known for its rogue breaches on private land, horrible place.

Such a great store and the range and prices are fantastic, Helpfull staff its even got a restaurant on site ive posted the menu, we bought a wok here which we had to season still got it 21 years on, You can buy fresk crab and lobster, i mean fresh they are alive you choose which one you want, And the fish counter never smells fish shows how fresh the fish is, Genraly a fab store, Im sure you will love it if your near there pop in to be amazed, Enjoy

Everything here is absolutely amazing however they sell meat that has been injected with salt and therefor are dishonest with their labelling

Do you like authentic Asian food? Struggle to get exactly what you want from your local supermarket or corner store? This is the place to go. Everything is here, at a reasonable price. While it does serve the restaurant trade too they are quite happy to sell you a packet of dumplings and some dipping sauce. Of course if you need sacks of rice, giant cookers and catering size portions they are here too. Don't just drive past, pay them a visit! P.s. don't miss the pandan cake and mochi!

You can get everything in this place lovely store but some chinese staff are very rude management needs to look into this otherwise the best store.

Love this place, the restaurant serve quick meals and the takeaway is very good. Will return whenever possible.

Some great things to see here, but it just seemed smaller to Hoo Hing in my opinion. I hoped to see more Halal option rangung from Maylasia also, but only a handful, and you had to find them like you were in TKMaxx. Parking was good.

My go to asian supermarket , great selection for seafood and asian products My only criticism is i bought some beef steak outside their butcher section which are stored in the fridge when I got home ans opened it and u can smell an eggy smell and the meat has gone off. Maybe a one off

Every trip feels like I have jetted off on holiday to south east asia. Great selection of oriental and asian foods. Closes at 4 on a sunday. On the day I last visited the halal meat section was not stocked.
