Most delicious and authentic Chinese meal in London. Must try their Dimsum platter, Braised pork belly, and roast meats. If you have a rice craving, go for their special fried rice. The staff are super friendly and accommodating.

I think it's delicious. The seasoning is spicier than the other restaurant on the same block.

A friend introduced me to eat here for the first time. I felt that the environment was very comfortable, and of course the food was also very delicious, especially the dim sum, roasted meat, and roasted duck. I highly recommend it. The service is also great.

Had a fantastic experience at China City. Brought a large tour group of 40 students to eat here and the food exceeded our expectations. The dim sum, seafood noodles, roast duck and roasted pork were particularly good. Would highly recommend and will certainly be returning!

I went for the dim sum basket, six items for £30. Some were new to me, others I’d had before. All were delicious, well prepared and nicely presented. The staff were all personable, attentive and efficient. The restaurant itself was very clean and pleasantly cool on a hot day. I’m sure I’ll be back when in London again.

This is my first visit, and I enjoyed the food, friendliness, and atmosphere. We had three dishes with rice, all very well made and delicious. We also had comfy seats and beautiful decos around the table. Would be happy to visit again! 😊

The meat in the preserved egg and lean meat porridge is very good; the pork ribs in black bean sauce are average; the chicken feet are not bad. The lights are extremely dim and the environment needs to be improved.

Bought a take away chicken fried, £10.50, expensive, but I thought I would treat myself expecting the portion and quality to be good. Very disappointing, it was a small portion, and I had to season it myself - it didn't even taste fried, it was more like a chicken boiled rice. I'm local, so they would have had repeated custom, but I definitely won't be returning.

Great duck, great service, great seaweed

I have been to this restaurant a couple of time, and it's not bad, the food is decent enough but unexceptional. Service is a little slow even at quiet times. Due to the size of the venue most tables are usually empty (but this may be different at peak weekend times) so it can feel a little "sterile" in terms of atmosphere, although if you're looking for quiet that's what you'll get. Price-wise, I feel it's on the high side, and if they were a little more reasonable I think they'd get more people in and improve the atmosphere too. Location is a factor, understandably, but unless you have a specific reason to come here, you might prefer a short trip into Covent Garden and Soho for quality and value.

DO NOT GO HERE. Went here to get some lunch. I popped in and said hello ill be right back and walked to the toilet before grabbing a table. The manager comes in and starts SCREAMING and cursing and threatening me with violence if I don't immediately leave. I've stopped in multiple shops to use the toilet before ordering and nobody EVER comes out and threatens to beat me if I don't leave. Or as he put it "he'll get the boys to toss me around." I had wanted to use the toilet and try their food out, now I NEVER will. The lady at the desk was nice, she had said "hello" and then "okay." So I have no idea why the short ego-driven manager decided to personally threaten violence and curve and scream. Terrible management. Have somebody standing by your toilets if it's that big of a deal. Don't threaten customers/potential customers. Absolutely ridiculous.

This is such a great place to eat. We go everytime (at least once a week) when in London. The service is fabulous and every food is the best. You do not go away hungry.

It was mine and my boyfriend’s anniversary and we wanted to find a nice chinese restaurant, we found China city and wow. The service is so so so good all the staff are friendly and welcoming, the food was the best i’ve tasted, we will be coming back soon with the rest of my family tehe(:

Went here to grab takeout for dinner. The service wasn’t the most pleasant and I got the chicken friend rice and it was very plain and there non flavors.

One of the rudest managers that I ever encountered in my life. We went around 7 pm and we saw three people waiting for table since the place was full. When we ask the manager for the waiting time he said no more tables. We asked again and one of the servers said just gimme a minute. We asked again to the manager and he replied whith bad manners 25 minutes. Is that how you serve people?

Kamen mit großem Hunger dort an und unsere Erwartungen waren hoch. Wir bestellten Essen und trinken, welches auch schnell ankam. Die Vorspeise bestehend aus Frühlingsrollen waren gut. Als Hauptgang bestellen wir Ente mit Reis. Das Essen kam und war enttäuschend. Die Ente war total labbrig, hatte Knorpel und auch der Reis war ungenießbar. Noch einige Stunden später hatte man was von dem Essen, welche sind in Bauchschmerzen und Toilettengängen bemerkbar machte. Keine Empfehlung

Whilst the restaurant has a little bit of a 90's feel with some classic karaoke videos playing in the background that my 10 year old loved the food and service was excellent the restaurant was busy and clearly with customers that keep coming back and I don't blame them 😁

The service yesterday was excellent. Very attentive and friendly. The food was good, but the air conditioning was to cold and blew in my neck, which was a little bit uncomfortable. Everything else is absolutly recommended. Thanks for the great service!

虽然外面写的提供川菜东北菜，但是典型的老广东中餐馆，无论是英文名字还是老板的口音，亦或是菜单，都表明这是以前老的潮汕广东菜馆。宫保鸡丁是外国人口味那种，但酸味减少辣味较多，改良得不错。牡蛎煎饼比较出乎意外地好，因为这是不太容易做好的一道菜。虽然这个菜卖相不是太好，蛋与面的比例火候差些，但味道的确不错，如果改成大葱丝恐怕华人接受度更高，但外国顾客可能就吃不消了

This restaurant's Mapo Tofu （麻婆豆腐）has sichuan peppercorns (I think that's what they are called), so it will make your tongue tingle! That doesn't mean it's not tasty at all (it's actually really tasty!), it's just a precaution as some people prefer without them. My favourite dish from there is hot and sour soup! It's really sour, which I love the most about this dish!

As a Hong Koner, I can say the food is authentic Cantonese. I cannot really tell whether I am eating this in London or Hong Kong.

Ordered food to collect before visiting my son and wife in GOSH. Food was ready on the time I wanted it, all neatly packed with prepacked fork/spoon and napkin. The food (Chicken black bean/chicken honey&lemon/wonton soup/sweetcorn&crab soup and spring rolls) were all superb! Best chinese food I have had in ages!

The staff are very rude. I was enquiring about a bottomless brunch and they hung up on me.

Very bad food. I usually enjoy eating Chinese food but this was the most horrible experience in whole. Very bad staff. They are super rude. On top of that food taste was very bad. Absolutely don’t recommend it to anyone.

Had a bad experience. Food was pretty good, besides the fact that I made sure the fried rice was vegan -> Received it with eggs (I thought oh we’ll mistakes happen) But then when we asked to switch the manager gave us this speech about ‘next time should say no eggs’..when we obviously made sure it was vegan with waitress…very rude and unkind, otherwise food was good.

Worst experience during the entire stay in London!! Staff are super rude. Food is subpar and filllllled with oil! They serve uncooked food and if you ask about it they tell you how long it’s been in the steamer. Wouldn’t recommend this restaurant..

It’s THE BEST Chinese place in London!!! The best food, amazing prices, the best service possible!!! I am a great fan of the food, prawn dumplings are literally the best on the whole world for such an affordable price. Sweet and sour chicken is great!!! I’ve been to so many Chinese places and in the majority of them the service is so poor, the staff doesn’t even look at you but just throws the menu to you, but not here!!! مطعم صيني بمنطقة Russell Square. الطلب كان رز أبيض مع سالمون مشوي بالصوص الحار، الأكل والطعم ممتاز ولذيذ جدا وسبايسي 💥. المشكلة أن المكان والجو العام داخل المطعم مكتوم، ورائحة السجائر فيه قوية حتى لو كان المدخن في الخارج. خيار جيد للسمك. السعر كان قريب من 20£.

Super delicious authentic Chinese food. We tried the soft shell crab and two kinds of BBQ pork, and it was perfect. The waiters was friendly and helpful, and suggested that I got some of their homemade hot oil for the pork, quite a bite to it but very good with the meat. Will come back next time I'm in London
