Ordered in deliveroo the restaurant forgot to add my special fried rice and the prawns were like they reheated it and add a really tough batter on top. Food was terrible. Picked off the batter as i would have broken my teeth if i tried to eat them. Food used to be great now its gone down hill.

Very good Chinese food for a very reasonable price

Rather than a restaurant this is like a cafe. Since they have become busy on take away delivery you can wait up to twenty minutes for the food. The staff are really nice. I have to say this is one of the best Chinese restaurants I have ever come across. Food quality is excellent and it's so tasty. I would highly recommend you try this!

Ordered Duck with egg fried rice, bbq sauce. Best one I’ve had so far. Compliments to the chef and thanks to the young man who served us. See you again soon. 🍽️

I’ve been ordering here for years… recently the food don’t taste the same no more. The chicken in the fried rice ain’t chicken, maybe cat but not chicken.

Ordered Szechuan prawn, sweet and sour chicken, egg fried rice and spring rolls. The Szechuan prawn had way too much breading on the prawns and not enough chili. I wasn’t expecting any breading (it should be called fried Szechuan prawn or something!) since when I’ve had it before at other places it didn’t. I peeled it all off and it took up 50% of the container! Each prawn was 1/3rd the size once removing the coating, the texture of which was extremely sticky and soggy. The rice and sweet and sour chicken were maybe bit better than average? Spring rolls and chips were not better than frozen. Could be an issue due to it being takeaway but I wouldn’t be keen to go back anytime soon.

Very upset.Ordered a beef curry but was disappointed.The sweet and sour had no taste honestly chicken was cool inside not crispy at all.We ordered a lot from Woo Lot before and usually we're happy customer however this time around i wish i never ordered.

Great food and experience, ordered through Uber eats. Had the beef with ho fun and black bean sauce, seafood noodles. Both excellent sized portions and great tasting. Would order again!

It is better to dine in as I have realised they give bigger portion then take away containers.

Ordered food on just eat app after great reviews we have read. However after an hour of waiting order has been cancelled. Surely if order could have not been fulfilled restaurant should cancel order right away not after an hour of waiting. Disappointing

Always get the sweet and sourer chiken with egg fride rice and it fantastic highly recommended, also grate pricing.

Was the best Chinese restaurant for many years . We have been eating there for 14 years, knew the old owners. Now , i don't recognise the food and people. The owner sold the restaurant and went to Hong Kong, the head chef no longer there, food didn't taste the same and some receipe being changed, food taste bland. Salt and pepper squid got cheap fried crispy onions instead of good amount of garlic,wonton soup w had different dumplings hard one, mixed meat special was bland and meat selection was shredded, not like before you can actually see pieces of square meat, sweet and sour chicken contained lots of onions veg more than chicken itself. They cutting things down to reduce the cost,but it's effected the quality and originality of the food. Sad to see these changes.

Food is fairly nice, however, the service isn't great. They staff act as if they are being forced to serve cutomers. They need to look around and realise they would not have a bussiness without customers!! Edited: Food is a hit or miss depending on which chef cooks your food. My last order was very disappointing. Typical!!

Always tasty. Have dined in a couple times alone but only during the day when it isn't too busy. Standard service charge of £1.50 when dining in.

Only good experience with this place, either going in or ordering takeaways. We consider it something of a hidden gem because the bare-bones setting comes with surprisingly good food — the opposite of the usual London scenario. I am no expert, but will say this is a cut above the commercial average. My partner has been to China, loved the food there, and thinks Woo Lot is the best match yet. Their two-person menus are extremely good value, a real feast. You will have at least one more meal from the doggy bag. Service is unfussy but efficient. The kitchen team is working non-stop, but remains unintrusive. No idea why the less than flattering reviews, for it contradicts our experience.

Honestly given all the great reviews here I feel like I must have eaten at the wrong place (I didn't). Every dish I ordered was so unbelievably bland! I just have to believe it was a one off. Hope you enjoy yours better than I did.

I ordered from woolot and the food arrived i ordered salt and peppered prawns that tasted like the prwans was off and the batter wasnt Seasoned and had a funny taste,the special fried rice was bland with a horrible taste always and sea spice chicken was under cooked ,special chow mein was oily very very disappointing couldnt eat non of it a complete waste of money i bought the food for a birthday day dinner not too mention money is tight hungry and broke now . I WANT MY MONEY BACK it was very slap dash you dont know any ones circumstances and even if your tired,cant be asked not in the mood you should always cook with consistency and enthusiasm to your up most best.

Ordered a crispy duck but was disappointed. Not crispy at all, very fatty. I believe it was not freshly cooked. I ordered a lot from Woo Lot before and usually I am a happy customer however this time around I wish I never ordered.

The prawns were completely gone off. Not even my cat would eat them and the food was well overpriced for the amount received

SSprawns cold and sauce Congealed.Rice cold.Very upset.1st order for a while.I don't have a microwave and obviously cooked hours earlier and left to stand.Thats how sauce is congealed and not runny.

Got Egg Fried Rice, Beancurd in Black Bean Sauce and Chips (3/5). They were all kinda bland, but not bad exactly.

The fried squid was very poor quality and sickly . Couldn’t eat it, I would not recommend this on the menu!

Whoever made my food on Friday the 1st of December done a amazing job. Seasoned to perfection. Everything was perfect.

Every single time I order , the food has a low standard. Very different , and it don’t make sense. As I know the restaurant for 10 years now. I guess I have to drive to the restaurant every single time I want their food.

The driver can't read a map and his delivery took way longer than needed dispite getting out of the kitchen on time! We saw him on the map taking several usless detours. And upon arrival, he didn't apologize or give an explanation!!

Food was terrible. Ordered chicken in curry with rice, curry was watery and tasted simply of Pepper. The chicken in black bean sauce was a joke, there wasn't a hint of black bean sauce. Honestly for the most part could not even the differentiate between the two dishes. Atleast the chicken was cooked, but was white absolutely zero seasoning. Cannot recommend.

I went with a colleague after work during the week for an early dinner. The food here is really, really tasty, the place has no frills, just generously potions of good food with nice quick service. It doesn't serve booze (although you may be able to byob). I think that it is about the only restaurant I know (outside of fancy places) that prepares its own duck, and it's excellent.

Me and my friends were waiting more than 50 min for our order . They serviced another customers which ordered their food after us. The staff was very rude .

It's nice being able to watch your food getting cooked! Foods nice. Reasonable prices and cash only. You can eat in but personally I ask for take aways.. it's nothing special to look at if dining in. Plenty of seating tho and I suppose if your a foodie like me, it's quite nice being in an environment where the kitchen is busy working hard and you can see the process. All in all. Take their menu home with you and don't forget them. And remember! Bring cash. They don't do card

Read the reviews thought I would give it a try. Not great at all. The service was good, but the food was really bland and basic. quantity over quality - definitely wouldn’t try again. Not sure what everyone else has been eating but this wasn’t great at all.

Cash only to avoid the tax man, Customer service a joke why would anyone give them they money for poor food which come with no manners. just walked out after seeing a cook coughing over the food many times - very poor hygiene, reading other reviews i see i am not the only one thinking this way.

This is hands down the best Chinese in London. Iv had 3 times now and it just seems to get better every time. For context I eat Chinese a lot and always try new places as haven’t found one any good in London until now. This place is legit. Get stuck right it. Crispy chilli beef is next level

Niet slecht, maar ook niet fantastisch. Er is wel een enorme keuze aan gerechten. Als je in de buurt bent, je hebt honger en je hebt zin in een Chinees eten. Ga gerust naar binnen. Je kan binnen eten, maar het is niet zo gezellig.

Michael, Danny and you defrauded me out of £30k not to mention the thousands you defrauded from HMRC when you set up fake business and bank accounts to avoid a tax bill and defraud thousands of pounds. You may think ignoring this will make it go away but, if my money is not paid back I’m going to the police home office and HMRC with the documented evidence I have of ye’re fraud. You actively encouraged Danny to be the coercively controlling abusive partner that has destroyed my life, cost me my home and left me broken.

Good value, big portions and tasty (just a bit too salty). Big menu, efficient service. Food is prepared to order in an open-plan kitchen. Waiter service if eating in, clean, food served on real plates with metal cutlery, so it doesn't have a 'fast food' vibe - more like a canteen.

Over 30 years and you just can not beat this beautiful place or fault their cooking...Go grab your favourite dish and see for yourself...bless

This is a well established take away and we did not have to wait long for our tasty meal to take home with 2 free cans of 7up. Half a barbeque duck was delicious.

First of all I'll say that the food is good. However, the experience of getting your food isn't great, which means I go here a lot less often than I would based on taste alone. 1. Cash only. Annoying but I can live with it. 2. Dine in prices are more expensive than takeaway, and this is even when the interior is very spartan with no sauces/condiments or any other amenities that would justify the higher price. The prices are also extremely confusing, there is no logic behind the higher prices. Similar (priced) dishes can vary from 5% more to over 20% more to dine in, so need to compare both menus each time to see if it's only an extra 50p more to dine in, or whether I'll be ripped off by being charge 25% more for that privilege. They even told me the size the the same takeaway or eat in. 3. The menu on the wall is useless; where are the pictures?

Delicious food and great customer service

Old school classic, the way the gentlemen remembers the entire tables order without writing it down is incredible, let alone the fantastic food!

It's like what I imagine Mcdonald's would be like if it were a Chinese restaurant. Service is no hassle, cold, efficient and quick. The boss is always there and runs the show, clearly can't wait to retire but keeps standards high. Cash only and pay in advance. Portions were large, freshly made and delicious. Been twice and very happy so far.

Few times I took food from here. For the price that I paid the food is always delicious and big portions. Not too greasy as most of the Chinese in the area. I recommend it to few friends and all of them love it. So far cannot complain at all. Special rice always top, I love the beef with spring onion and the curry always nice! Staff ok too.

I bought special rice yesterday.i told them I dont eat pork can I have something else instead pork.she said no even I don't have pork I have to pay for what I want instead.i said no I am not paying extra.i paid in fulwhen I brought it home I just can't belive it there was 2 shrimp afew peas I hardly see chicken in it.and I never eat soo dry rice in my life.there was nothing in it dry white rice.i never ever buy again.

Absolutely disgraceful! We’ve been coming here for over 20 years and their service and quality of food is now disgusting. Terrible attitude and won’t even correct a wrong order. No compensation either. They gaslight you and are abusive. DO NOT EVER BUY YOUR FOOD FROM HERE!! Rude and completely unacceptable. We will never visit again and hope they go bust. I had no cash and have used woolot for years no cash machine around the area had cash my order was in a bag ready for me to collect but the boss would rather throw my order in the bin or give a stale order to you i will never ever use this place again

Enjoyable meal but freezing cold. No heat and in these conditions it was a disgrace.
