very expensive 9 pounds 10p for satay chicken in which was very dry, i normally use Mr Chan a meal for 4 people comes to 45 pounds , here same dishes but only for 3 people came to 52.10 i will never use again

Disgusting food was cold and was brown rice with no prawns. Singapore noodles had nothing just noodles. Service wad good but the food was horrible worst ever I had enough to put me off for a long long time. Been once but never ever again disgusting

The food was awful there was no taste the special fried rice boiled with 2percent meat. Tasteless food . It used to be better flavour now rubbish

1 star is being generous! Roast duck fried rice was stodgy boiled rice and rubbery duck. Spring roll had not one piece of meat in it. Smoked chicken was slimy and the crispy seaweed had chunks of almost tooth breaking god knows what in. Will never be ordering from there again.

Erm…. Never again! I saw the chef drop a piece of meat on the floor and he quickly picked it up and threw it back into the wok🦠. Walked straight out before I ordered! Not cheap neither so just because you can see the kitchen doesn’t mean they’re hygienic at all! Avoid if you don’t want to make them rich while making yourself sick

Possibly the worst service ever. Ordered a take away and after 2 hours of being told it’s on the way, finally admitted food hadn’t been prepared. Then tried to deny any order made. I’d rate it a zero if I could.

Jus literally got this ordered and what a disappointment, special fried rice was like special boiled rice , chicken balls was fried in dirty oil and nearly burnt looking , curry sauce no flavour and salt and pepper prawns was an onion overkill . Not good today Oriental chef - if i could i would ask for a part refund

I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered. Chicken dangerously undercooked, not edible (pink on inside). Slimy tasting beef. Fried rice was not fried (white and boiled). Truly awful, even the prawn crackers were stale. Worst chinese I've ever had, AVOID!!!

First of all the food is great. But was told my food was 33 pound on the phone, when at the door 36 pound I was charged. Got offered a drink that was nice, was asked what I would like said Fanta I receive coke. Plus I asked for chips with my order they did not come. I phoned shop to tell them all this they bought me my chips at cost very quickly I was happy. I just feel communication was was poor and I didn't in joy my dinner as well as I could of with out these complications

I ordered food from this place...and I must say it was awful the ribs was so dry no taste let alone any meat on them, and hard a rock,they tasted like they were yesterday's ribs.i phoned and complained, and was told that they were a staff down and rushing around, no excuse..I asked him what was he going to do about this..he said sorry, and came off the phone..I will not be ordering anything from them again.

Have had several takeaways from Oriental Chef. Always superb. Delicious food. Tubs are filled to the brim. Well priced. speedy service. Quality, tasty ingredients. Have made the mistake of picking up a Chinese takeaway on way home from else where. And thrown most away. NEVER with Oriental Chef. Any left over if kept and fought over the next day. am That is if not necked @ 3am 😅😅

Decided to try this place again after a 2 year break!. The food was horrible, the rice was cooked and soaked in cooking oil. The other two dishes were just as bad, never again. If you want a healthy Heart stay well clear of this place!

Just placed an uber eats order for delivery, had my name and address on the bag with my order, in the bag was the wrong food, when I called the lady was very rude and kept telling me the issue lay with Uber eats, it isn't and they were not interested in correcting the order, so I've started to eat the chicken satay which had a slimy texture not eating the rest of it, the chicken chow mein was cold and had no chicken in it and the duck in Peking sauce was just awful. This was not my order and I've saved whoever did order this extreme dissatisfaction and will do them the ultimate favour of putting it all in the bin and order from Chingford Chinese .

Curry does not taste or smell like curry. Special fried rice? No, that taste and look like simple mushy boiled rice. I have called the restaurant and they did not even apologise and said “we cannot do anything about it” VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Homely cooked food, best chilli oil, very simple and full of flavour. Most other restraunts put too much season in their chilli oil which covers the authenticity of the taste, but this restaurant makes it to perfection Their Singapore fried rice is beautifully cooked the meat and chicken is very flavourful and tender, the rice is aromatic and smells wonderful, it's not overdone and covered up with too many herbs and spices it's very simplistic and full of lovely flavours and seasoning. Can say the best dish I have had compared to other restaurants will keep them as my local

I ordered a takeaway from oriental chef as we ended staying in..I ordered at 5.00 pm and it arrived at 5.30 pm.the food was pipping hot,well presented and tasty.also prawn crackers where chucked in for free...what more could you ask for...would order from again..

You never know what your gonna get at this place! One night the foods fine. Next time the food taste like they just threw it together in a pan - tasteless. Oh don’t dare complain. The lady who knows you well will argue with you until the cows come home. So many times they have messed up my order. Even something small like; you forgot my prawn crackers. She won’t care, how small the complaint is, she will still argue with you and never compensate your loss. In other words - don’t bother Complain because she’ll say it’s not true. Food 2 stars, Customer Service 0 stars

Do not eat here!! If I could give no stars this place would qualify! Paid under a £5 for what was supposed to be special fried rice instead i ended up with sticky rice no meat and a bad stomach! Chef needs to wash his clothes and stop the delivery bikers from walking around the food area in there dirty biker gear!

Food is okay, lacks a bit of seasoning for my taste. Far too many of those horrible water chestnut things for my liking (what is the point of them?). Quick service and although I don't think the staff have ever smiled at me, they are efficient and get the order right every time. Looks clean and as you can see into the kitchen they're standards of hygiene are high.

Had a takeaway. Arrived on time, and was warm, considering the distance. Good value and quality. We had a wide selection of dishes and there was nothing left to give to our dog. Would use them again. If you going to order, especially Fridays and weekends give about an hour and a half notice as they get very busy.

Aromatic duck starter was overcooked and very dry; seaweed was burnt, noodles overcooked and very stodgy, prawn crackers stale. Have used this restaurant before, but unlikely to do so again.

Absolutely terrible service, food arrived cold and over an hour late. Restaurant workers rude and refused refund. Kept hanging up the phone on me when i asked for a refund. Do not order from this take away, absolutely terrible!

Another occasion when it took 90 minutes to deliver and there was yet again stuff missing. No explanation, apology or gift to say sorry !! Shocking service !!

Yet again stuff missing after waiting over an hour. When I phone to ask where missing item was I was told I would have to collect myself or wait another 30 minutes for one dish !! Not good service

Singapore fried rice is not the best I've had, but is ok. Chicken wings portion is generous.
